Had my scan yesterday, baby is doing great with a lovely strong heart beat!

Finally got dates, I am due 24th July, so I'm 9+4 today. Bit gutted she never said 39+6 lol.

@Winona1 no need to worry, it's common for symptoms to come and go, or some of them to start to go away completely as you get closer to 2nd trimester. I stopped feeling sick and exhausted a few days ago and scan yesterday showed a strong healthy little button 😁 If you are really worried tho you could phone your midwife, they'd be happy to chat with you about it.

Mrsp37 · 23/12/2018 12:58

Hi everyone, I got a very unexpected BFP 3 weeks ago (baby number 3)... other 2 are 13 and 11 so starting again and feeling completely overwhelmed... I had my booking in appointment on Friday and hoped I might feel better afterwards but came away feeling awful, anyone else had this? Basically I’m classed as an ‘old mum with high Bmi’ (37 and size 16) so will need a consultant and ‘lots’ of hospital appointments? She didn’t go into detail as to why but also looked at my veins and didn’t even try to take bloods saying they looked thin? Made me feel really crap and can’t even crack a smile since, so worried about everything. Due 23/7

Bunnybaubles · 23/12/2018 13:50

Aww snap! I'm 37 and size 16 and my older 2 are 18 and 19 so when I had my DD in June it definitely was like starting again... but much easier cause of previous experience and loved it so much im doing it again 😁

I was consultant led too and will be again with this one cause of my bmi and I have high blood pressure from a genetic disorder.

Your midwife was rotten to make you feel like that!! My midwife was the same, told me I'm ill lol.

From the beginning I saw the consultants but only once a month. I also saw the midwife once a month too, maybe this is what she means by lots of appointments.

You should at some point be asked if you want to stop seeing the midwife cause no point seeing both as they both do the same thing pretty much.

My consultants were lovely and told me I'm definitely not classed as old nowadays as mid to late 30's is average for having babies 😊

Jummynbean · 23/12/2018 15:23

@Winona1, no reason to be worried x exact same thing happened to me, was worried sick, went for an early scan at 10 weeks and everything was fine. It's easy to get sucked into the bad stories X I'm 10 + 4 now any symptoms still haven't fully come back X

Michelle0507 · 23/12/2018 15:33

Reading your positives and hoping for the same tomorrow I'll be 11+6 and I'm having a scan at EPAU had pain on Fri. I have to say it did feel a lot in my hip and stretching but I have no symptoms. I saw a HB at 6w & 8w3d as I've had 2 previous losses at 6w3d and 5d. I'm so nervous and miserable today I've cancelled all plans and sat on the sofa all day with a hot water bottle I'm my own worst enemy some times.

Winona1 · 23/12/2018 16:39

Thank you @Jummynbean xxx

Jummynbean · 23/12/2018 17:27

Best of luck to you @Michelle0507, must be very hard with your history, but I'm sure everything will be fine :), be sure to let us know how you get on! I have mad hip ache, can't sleep on my side. Feels like some one is trying to pull my leg out its hip socket 😂

Mrsp37 · 23/12/2018 19:26

@bunnybaubles thanks for that, so reassuring to hear Smile scan booked for 4th Jan so fingers crossed for a more positive experience with that x

Michelle0507 · 23/12/2018 20:13

@jummynbean thank you x

jq28 · 23/12/2018 20:46

So I thought I was 10+3 but apparently I'm 9+1. Saw the heartbeat and the lady said it looks all good so far. Still doesn't feel real as having no symptoms. Wanted to tell the parents at Xmas!

Jummynbean · 23/12/2018 21:13

@jq28 words don't even cover how releived I am for you! Me and my partner have both told our parents. We both felt we needed the support whatever the outcome X does this mean you will be telling them on Christmas day?

Michelle0507 · 24/12/2018 20:26

All was good at EPAU. Got My antenatal appt on 31st.

Merry Christmas mamas! Hope you all have a fab day - this time next year we will have 6 month old babies (ish!).
Let’s hope pregnancy bloat doesn’t interfere with our Christmas dinners too much xxx

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/12/2018 08:36

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Have woken up symptom free so maybe baby is being kind to me for Christmas Day (one hopes that is all it is) however on that note has anyone else's symptoms come and go? I'm 8+6 if that helps?x

Loujonesy · 25/12/2018 10:58

Merry Xmas all. Have a great one. Next year will be an even busier one. 4th due end of July. Just got to get a house move before then. 🎄🎄

Delilah7 · 25/12/2018 18:57

Merry Xmas ladies. 12 weeks today. So scared for my scan, surely me being still sick is a good sign? I've got no bump nothing :( worried if it's all progressing ok!

HayleyHaystack · 26/12/2018 22:46

Don’t even worry about bump size @delilah7 - I don’t know anyone who had a bump at 12 weeks. I just look like I’ve eaten a big meal - all the time - and I’m 13 weeks today. Definitely no bump. How do you feel about the scan? X

Mayjane5 · 27/12/2018 09:30

Happy Christmas ladies hope you are all having a wonderful time. I’m suffering more with nausea from about 4pm every day which is weird feel fine in the morning, I have my first appointment with midwife next week I think I’m due 31st July. I’m 40 so classed as a very old mum 😆 also had icp with my first pregnancy high chance of it occurring again anyone else had this? x

Delilah7 · 27/12/2018 11:35

@HayleyHaystack I'm worried. I'm telling my nieces and nephews today yet so worried scan on New Years will show somethings wrong and I'll have to explain 😔 xx

Mayjane5 · 27/12/2018 13:40

@Delilah7 sending positive vibes, with my first I didn’t really show until 20 weeks, at the moment I just look like I’ve eaten a big dinner, I think I’ve actually lost weight so don’t know what’s happening there. But I know what you mean my first scan won’t be for a few weeks and nervous too x

Georgeofthejungle · 27/12/2018 14:07

Urgh, my house is a mess. I want to kon Marie it. I want to be mrs positive and sort out my life, yet I’m lying on the sofa with a mountain of things to do and fobbed off my toddler with a chocolate Santa for some peace. Please tell me I am not alone. Pregnancy nausea sucks! x

Mayjane5 · 27/12/2018 14:25

@Georgeofthejungle I think we can give ourselves a few days off this week between Christmas and new year perfect time for relaxing and doing nothing. I have a list to do in new year, how old is your little one, my daughter is 4 next week 😊

Georgeofthejungle · 27/12/2018 14:29

That’s a good idea @maryjane5. Maybe a list would make me feel a little better. For when this horrid 1st trimester eases off. I might download the kon Marie book in the mean time. Maybe it will motivate me. I really want to go crazy with it and just throw myself in.

My DS is 2, 3 in feb. He’s a good boy for the most just a little bit naughty now and again. Thankfully, I’ve not got the energy for the other way round Xmas Smile

HayleyHaystack · 27/12/2018 17:45

Totally get you @delilah7. I find early pregnancy support is just so crap (unless you come here) there’s no one to hear your worries or anything. It’s a scary time and although you just have to “go with it” there’s so much going on inside of you you can’t actually think straight! Remember you have had positive scans up to now. Remember it’s far more likely for it to go right than for it to go wrong. And then honestly all you can do is wait. It’s crap, but it’s nearly time. Will be thinking of you X

Delilah7 · 27/12/2018 17:46

@HayleyHaystack thanks Hun. Just want the scan to hurry up! told the kids and their reactions were amazing 😍 they cried x
