Hi guys 👋🏼 today i woke around 10. Pottered around for a while doing house work. Around 3 I started to feel exhausted. I fell asleep on the couch until about 5.30 and I've been feeling really sick since about 8. Not like I'm going to get sick but very nauseous. Should I be feeling this bad at this hour in the night? I feel miserable... hope it's not a bug on the way!

Bunnybaubles · 16/12/2018 23:23

@aisling18 I've been feeling nausious all day today. I feel sick so I eat something, either egg on toast or something sweet, and it goes away for 10 minutes, but then I feel sick again. Been like this for a few weeks. And I am so exhausted all the time!

My last pregnancy I had pregnancy migraines all the way through but no sickness. I'm not sure what's worse!! 🤢

aisling18 · 16/12/2018 23:30

@Bunnybaubles thank god I'm not alone I thought there must be more wrong with me than just pregnancy symptoms! I didn't think it'd be this awful! Migraines are awful I hope that doesn't start for you this time! I'm gonna try go to sleep shortly but u doubt I will - I'm sleeping all day 😂

Bunnybaubles · 17/12/2018 00:08

@aisling18 Aww you're doing great! It does get easier (Most of the time) once you get into the 2nd trimester.
I just gave birth in June this year so I thought the exhaustion was my body struggling with being pregnant again so soon but reading everyone's posts it seems normal.
I don't sleep well either, I'm either up feeding the baby or running to the toilet - haha I love a challenge 😂
I hope you get a good sleep tonight.

roobine · 17/12/2018 07:23

Ah @Jummynbean that's reassuring!!
My symptoms come and go; some days I'm sicky some days I'm fine. Not really getting hunger so much - if anything the opposite - not fancying anything but then becoming really nauseous if I have an empty stomach. From all the (extensive 😂) reading I've done it doesn't seem like it's anything to worry about if your symptoms aren't consistent.
Lovely that you have a scan booked 😊

hipstercat · 17/12/2018 15:15

@aisling I feel more sick in the evenings too!

ReginaPhalange89 · 17/12/2018 15:20

Oh wow @bunnybaubles, you only gave birth in June ? You're brave lol!

I've a wee one who's around a year and 8/9 months and honestly this is the hardest pregnancy yet, even though my sickness is no where near as bad as my previous 2! I've never known exhaustion like this . I'm in my bed for 8 most nights ! I think it probably doesn't help that she's not sleeping very well right now so some nights I'm up for hours 🙈
Also feel super unorganised for Christmas because I just don't have the energy to even think about it this year ! Lol. Not feeling festive at all either, so unlike me ! Think it's just cos I've got so much on my mind though so struggling to think about Christmas

Loujonesy · 17/12/2018 15:28

Is anyone else in tears a lot? I have quite bad sickness and nausea. Currently signed off work due to this. Feeling bad for saying I'm not enjoying the pregnancy so far. 8 weeks and 1 day at mo 😢😢

GabbyGal · 17/12/2018 15:47

Nausea is killing me the past few days, today is the worst yet.

Bunnybaubles · 17/12/2018 16:25

@ReginaPhalange89 Yup, June hahaha I know!! I'm crazy!!

DD is Dp's first, she was born in June and we decided we wanted her to have a sibling to grow up with. (My DC are 18 and 19yo).

But I'm doing my degree just now so had to plan for the birth to fall during the summer when I have 4 months study free... So had either September and October this year to try and if it hadn't worked then September and October next year. That's the reason behind the madness 😂

I don't envy you tho, it's definitely harder being pregnant with a toddler!! My baby still loves her sleep, she's a lazy wee thing and can't crawl yet so the only running about I do is to the fridge for chocolate cake 😁

ReginaPhalange89 · 17/12/2018 16:32

@Bunnybaubles aww that'll be lovely though, they'll be so close! I always wanted a smaller age Gap, which I'm getting this time , there are 5 years between my 2 girls and honestly it was so easy ! I'm now starting to worry how I'll cope with a newborn and toddler ! Lol especially doing the school run etc , I remember being glued to the sofa breastfeeding last time and not being able to get the 3 of us ready to leave the house 🙈

Mayjane5 · 17/12/2018 17:40

Hey ladies hope you are all doing well. My god yes nausea kicking in now feel worse on an evening though. Also been suffering with headaches is that common? Paracetamol not working anything else I can take?

Squeakybubbles26 · 17/12/2018 19:07

I feel all your pain, I hate the nausea :( I'm off certain foods, plan meals for tea then don't want them just want carbs and junk! Feel like I'm gonna puke and then nothing comes off it except gagging! Give me strength! I know it eases into the 2nd trimester but my god I feel awful!

@ReginaPhalange89 I know what you mean about Christmas, I have no spirit more feeling sorry for myself :( bah humbug! X

ReginaPhalange89 · 17/12/2018 20:42

@mayjane5 I've had headaches too, it's definitely common in early pregnancy! Unfortunately don't think you're allowed anything other than paracetamol , paracetamol touches nothing does it ?! 🙈 I never take it as a pain killer any other time lol.

@Squeakybubbles26 I'm the same, I feel constantly hungry but I'm not in the mood for any proper food either, I'm surviving off toast at the minute !

Mayjane5 · 17/12/2018 21:23

@ReginaPhalange89 I know it really does nothing to help, thought it may be because of being busy at work/lack of rest have a 3 yr old and not drinking enough water. I also need to start eating breakfast and maybe just have small meals/snacks throughout the day. It’s totally possible to study with a baby i managed to do my degree with my little one was hard but worth it 🙂

Bunnybaubles · 17/12/2018 21:24

@Mayjane5 I had really bad headaches in my last pregnancy. I was referred to nurology who told me i had pregnancy migranes, apparently a common side affect. I told them I couldn't bear the pain so I was prescribed child's dose of dyhydrocodine and paracetamol which i was told was perfectly safe. My headaches started around 8 wks and suffered every day till about 30 wks.
They returned a few weeks later but only cause i developed pre-eclampsia.

If yours don't go away, might be a route to explore with your midwife if they are unbearable.

I am so glad I don't have them this time!!

Flyfisherlady · 18/12/2018 12:00

Hello. Wouldn’t mind a prayer or two. Had dreggy end of period stuff in my underpants. Called the midwife she said not to worry. Was in hospital anyway getting some blood tests so thought I had better get checked. Went to a&e was referred to Early Pregnacy unit. Had scan. Little one should be 8 weeks but is only reading at 5 to 6. No heart beat. All hope not lost yet but not looking good. Sorry to f**ck up everyone’s Christmas. Was meant to have colleagues round for a party last night and cancelled. Three colleagues of ours have died this year. I told them as wanted to cheer them up. Can’t face them now. Feel so selfish for having told. I regret it. But Then should I feel ashamed?

GabbyGal · 18/12/2018 12:08

@Flyfisherlady I’m so sorry to read this, I really hope all is well and hope is not lost. I’m also sorry to hear you’ve lost 3 colleagues, you’ve obviously had a tough year.

But you absolutely should not feel ashamed. You shared your news because you wanted to share some happiness with your colleagues, and I’m sure they’ll want to support you if you get bad news. It wasn’t selfish to tell them, and you’ve nothing to feel ashamed of.

Crossing my fingers for you Flowers

AJJS89 · 18/12/2018 13:28

Had my 12 week scan today Grin
Anyone any good with the nub theory?

Mrstobe90 · 18/12/2018 13:40

I'm so sorry @Flyfisherlady! Look after yourself xxx

ReginaPhalange89 · 18/12/2018 14:09

So sorry @flyfisherlady ! Definitely don't feel ashamed for telling people. I hope things work out for you

@AJJS89 I knew instantly from looking at my last babies scan that she was a girl, it was a very clear nub! Post the pic and we can have a guess :)

Mayjane5 · 18/12/2018 17:35

@Flyfisherlady don’t feel ashamed it’s been a hard time for you, sending prayers to you x

Mayjane5 · 18/12/2018 18:12

So been feeling like I want to throw up all day any tips for keeping sickness at bay? Eating helps for a little bit. @Bunnybaubles I really don’t know if the headaches are lack of sleep etc or the pregnancy. I do get migraines and felt sick today with a headache but not sure if it’s pregnancy or a migraine? Will mention it to the midwife at my first appointment it’s not until the new year but don’t think I’d get seen any quicker with Christmas. Hopefully it will just go away, completely different to my first pregnancy had no problems in first trimester

HayleyHaystack · 19/12/2018 12:38

July babies, who is having their 12 week scan this month? Mine is tomorrow! Anyone planning Christmas announcements?

GabbyGal · 19/12/2018 12:45

Lucky you @HayleyHaystack, mine isn’t until 15th Jan. We already told our parents after an early scan last week and we’re planning to tell siblings at Christmas, but will wait until after the scan to tell anyone else.
