@aisling18 Its hilarious when we forget!!

I woke this morning after a nap with my 6mo, put her in her jumperoo then ran to the loo, as we must 😁

So after, I looked in the mirror and realised my lips were a funny colour and thought 'oh no I must've bitten my lip while I was napping'.

Upon a closer inspection to locate the injury I realised it was chocolate from the double chocolate gateaux I had for breakfast 😂😂😂 ... actually smeared all over my lips like old lipstick!!

That's mild tho compared to my last pregnancy lol My best baby brain moment involved a uni tutorial, another student and a very public humiliation on a student chat group 😂😂😂😂

I'm dreading what else I'll do 😂😅

Bunnybaubles · 13/12/2018 14:19

@GabbyGal Aww nooo, lucky it was only a lift and not the train 😂 I feel sorry for you all having to have baby brain at work! I'm quite lucky, I stopped working after having DD in June, im doing my degree online, so most of my baby brain moments are safely carried out at home... although my best ones do tend to happen when I go out 😁

ReginaPhalange89 · 13/12/2018 14:43

Haha I'm also at home ! We decided I wouldn't go back to work after I had dd2 and knew we'd have #3 eventually . Tell you what it makes having morning sickness less awful. I don't have to run along the road to puke in the works toilet now 😂😂

hipstercat · 13/12/2018 14:56

Hi fellow July mums-to-be! Can I join your gang please? I just had my first scan at 7+2 weeks and it confirmed my EDD of July 30th. After two years of trying (was about to prepare for IVF!) and one miscarriage I'm anxious to say the least, and finding it hard to believe it's real!

ReginaPhalange89 · 13/12/2018 19:20

Congratulations @hipstercat! It must be difficult to believe it after what you've went through, I still feel like that and I haven't had the trouble you have lol! I had a private scan last night and they've dated me the same as you , 30th July !

FuzzyPixel · 13/12/2018 19:57

@hipstercat, I'm with you there. Just over four years of trying, three and a half years of infertility investigations and treatment, and we got our first ever BFP earlier this month. After years of professionals telling us we can't get pregnant, we are in so much shock. It's a delight, but it doesn't feel real!

hipstercat · 14/12/2018 09:12

Yay, thanks ladies! Congrats to you too! @Regina (love your name!) that's so cool that we're date buddies! How did your scan go? It definitely helped me to feel more like the bean is actually there. :) @FuzzyPixel that sounds like a rough journey you had. I was feeling so low after 2 years already, and my heart just sinks every time I hear these stories of couples going through so much more. I feel like if this one works out, we had such a lucky escape! Did you conceive naturally in the end?

ReginaPhalange89 · 14/12/2018 14:31

Haha thank you @hipster. Yes it went well ! I had to go on my own so I was nervous but it was fine, measuring a day behind my lmp date but that's fine with me ! I'm guessing it'll probably end up being an early August baby lol. Also had my first midwife appt yesterday too so it definitely feels more real now for me too! I'm so impatient to tell my parents now, we're trying to hold off til next weekend so we can do it face to face ! Now I've had a scan I just want to tell them though !

Delilah7 · 15/12/2018 15:33

I feel I need to rant 😭
So on Thursday I was sick over 10 times, most I've ever been. Luckily I can keep fluid down and wee seems to be ok at the moment. However lips are chapped and I'm exhausted. Bare in mind it's been confirmed about HG which is shit. I can't do ANYTHING. Don't even wanna get out of bed tbh... signed off work for next week. I had a MC in August and would never normally say this but I'm wondering ' am I really cut out for this ' I can't handle it and how it makes me feel.

Loujonesy · 15/12/2018 15:58

@Delilah7 I'm totally feeling you. I feel so bad it's horrible. Got midwife in morning so going to see what she suggests. Felling that I can't cope at mo 😢

Delilah7 · 15/12/2018 15:59

@Loujonesy I'm going out to our friends to have a movie evening and I've got so much anxiety. Mainly that I'll be sick and the smell of food will make me sick 😭

Loujonesy · 15/12/2018 17:18

@Delilah7 try and relax and have a good time. I'm not fit for anywhere at mo. Constant sickness or nauseous. Had this worse in my previous pregnancy but struggling at mo to get through the day. Luckily the hubby is great. ❤️

ReginaPhalange89 · 15/12/2018 17:41

My sickness hasn't been awful but it's kicked up a bit today , however , omg, I have never felt exhaustion like this before ! I could sleep standing up. Doesn't help that my toddler had me up all night.

ReginaPhalange89 · 15/12/2018 19:27

Girls what do you think of this.... My sil is a few days late for her period. She tested this morning and it was negative after 3 mins so she binned it. Out all day and came home to this. I know you shouldn't read them after that time but I've never seen one end up like this ?! Evap lines are normally colourless aren't they ? 🤔

Flyfisherlady · 15/12/2018 20:04

Does anyone’s symptoms fluctuate. I’ve been quite lucky so far. Lots of wretching but no follow through. Today, nothing....

Bunnybaubles · 15/12/2018 20:17

OMG I told my parents tonight! I've been putting it off for ages cause my mum kept presenting me with reasons I shouldn't get pregnant again lol.

She was delighted, I was so shocked 😂 So glad that's out the way.

@ReginaPhalange89 wow that does look like a positive line. Ive had negative tests in the past that never priduced a line like that later on. Hopefully another test will be more clear tho, fingers crossed for her 😊

Georgeofthejungle · 15/12/2018 22:43

@reginaphalange I’d say it’s a positive. Similar thing happened to me with this pregnancy.

I am also KNACKERED! It just hits me like a wall throughout the day, one min fine next I’m zombie mum xx

Jummynbean · 16/12/2018 05:09

@flyfisherlady my symptoms feel like they have eased off which is worrying me. There are times when I think they might be back, but I'm not sure if it's just me.... Mw said it's nothing to worry about yet, so trying to stay calm and wait it out.

Flyfisherlady · 16/12/2018 09:20

I’m pleased it’s not just me. I did eat my supper, feel full then spend some minutes wretching which was reassuring. Similarly my boobs still hurt.

Bunnybaubles · 16/12/2018 09:49

@Flyfisherlady I was the same, not really got any major symptoms. I keep squeezing my boobs to see if they hurt even just a little to reassure me, but nothing 😂 So I'm relying on the 5 positive tests, being exhausted and feeling a bit grungy and off my food. Was going to book a private scan for extra extra reassurance but there's no available dates till my 12 week one is due which is a month away, so gutted lol.

Laura1609 · 16/12/2018 10:36

Hi all

Can I join too? My EDD is 3rd July. I have my 12 week scan on Thursday and I’m terrified. The sleepless nights have already started because of the nerves. Wishing the next 3 days at work away (also because I’ll finish for Christmas too!) x

BlueberryCat · 16/12/2018 11:08

I have worked out I should be around 21st July! Still awaiting first scan though x

roobine · 16/12/2018 18:24

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing ok.
I'm 9+2 now but already starting to develop a bump which seems ridiculous?!! Of course I realise it's not caused by baby, but my shape has rapidly changed - I've got a proper tummy, I've gained weight and my boobs have gone up 2 sizes!!!
I've had 2 people that didn't know I was pregnant guess that I am, and people that know me think I'm further along than I think...
Just not sure what to think..? I was tracking my periods so don't think I'm further along. We've no history of twins in our family. It's also my first so wouldn't expect anything for weeks yet...
Has anyone else had this so early with their first???

Jummynbean · 16/12/2018 22:10

@roobine I'm exactly the same, got I nice big round pot belly for a size 8 and boobs have grown to an E. Luckily no one has mentioned anything and it's possible I am about 8 to 9 weeks too but not sure. Got private scan booked for Thursday as my symptoms have pretty much gone. Just need peace of mind. How are you feeling? Any nausea or hunger?

hipstercat · 16/12/2018 22:33

Welcome Laura! I hope your scan goes great!
My symptoms also fluctuate a lot, within a day as well as over the weeks. Week 7 has been easier on the stomach, but I do feel more tired. Went for a short walk in the forest today which normally I really enjoy, but barely made it back and had to put myself to bed as soon as I got home! Feel like a grandma more than a mum haha.
