Sharp pains at 39+5 😬

For the past 4 weeks I’ve been having regular Braxton Hicks some 6 minutes apart...this is baby no3 but my eldest are 10 and 8 so it’s been a while since my last baby.

Last night I was having windy type pains in my tummy and tightenings. I’ve lost my mucus plug and at my last check up 2cm dilated but able to stretch to 4cm...I’m having contractions regularly today but not very painful! I know baby will be here any minute but it’s so frustrating not knowing how long I’m going to feel like this 😩 so excited to meet my baby girl!
I’m currently eating a whole pineapple bouncing on my ball 😂😂😂 anyone else bored with the wait?? Xxxx

I’m 39 weeks too with first baby. I was in pain all day yesterday (not lots of pain, more uncomfortable). Braxton Hicks all day and evening. Woke up in the night to bad period pains.

Now totally fine Grin I really want it to get going!

Hi ladies! I had period type pain over breakfast but it’s eased off now! I really think she’s going to stay in there until she’s two!! Had all the signs just no “GO” which is annoying because I keep getting my hopes up 😩 xxx

Naked I'm not giving up yet that this baby will be one out of three on time. They always show up eventually though don't they. I'm just living in hope that they say to me tomorrow oh we won't let you go ten days over. Another week I am mentally prepared for but another ten days not so much.

I really wish I was!! 😂😂 my mum said to me she expected to see me pushing a pram today not waddling through the front door! 😩 oh I do wish that was true!! I’ve given up on all the home remedies to induce labour now and every contraction I get is being ignored because I’m so used to them now! I’ll go into labour and think it’s false again though I bet xxx

Debbie im the same. Have lost faith in all the home remedies they can all go hang out together and be useless together.

I got two minor pains earlier I thought we had lift off Talk about wishful thinking. Oh well. I am so exhausted now I don't know if I even have the energy to give birth this week.

Twobambinos im the same now...I’ve made tea and I’m ready for a bath and bed! I’ve been through my nesting :( I feel very sickly tonight, quite crampy too!! Going for a little walk with the OH, kids and Dog soon and hopefully my body will decide what I’m doing for the evening before I settle down for bed- Sod’s law I’ll jump into bed and my waters will break or something when I’m absolutely exhausted 😩 xxxx

Debbie im actually afraid to go on the gym ball tonight in case anything kicks off I'm so tired. I'm lying in bed now trying not to sleep because I'll only sleep for two or three hours and be awake half the night again

I hope things progress for you OP. I'm in the same boat. 38+4 here with DC3.

Have been having cramps on/off for the last week. Lost a bit of my plug a week ago. I woke up today and my pelvis was in AGONY. I have pgp and sciatica but this took it to a whole other level. I could hardly walk to school and then had plans for the day which involved 3 hours of walking! I've either massively overdone it or I'm in labour. Feel sick, cramps have massively ramped up (all in my back as with previous two) and been stuck on the loo - also passed some more of my plug earlier. Have called our babysitters to pre warn them but have a sense that I've probably just overdone it after an early start and busy day!

It’s soooo frustrating!! OH has had me walking up hills tonight because he’s so excited! How come they get all the good bits ey? Ha ha ha xxx

Debbie, I know this is the most laboury I've felt so far. Then again I have seriously overdone it today and my first two were 10 days and 15 days overdue. I'm currently on my birthing ball rolling around to get comfortable. I'm even contemplating sex to try and encourage baby to appear. It's seriously the last thing I feel like (I feel so unwell) - it's been WEEKS because my PGP has been so bad.

I hope one of us has a baby soon! The prolonged suffering is awful.

Was reading this earlier today .
I'm 38+5 today and sooo ready to meet this baby
Have had pains and tightenings on and off this last week.

PGP suddenly got worse last week and I spent a few days on crutches and I couldn't weight bear on my right leg st all

Seen a chiropractor and she is working miracles. I can just about manage 5 mins walking outside, which is amazing as last week I could barely get around the house with crutches.

Anyone else struggle to tell what are tightenings or what are baby stretching in to painful positions??

Sex is completely off the agenda tonight 😂😂 I’ve had contractions through my bath so lay on my left side now to see what happens :/

I had very very bad SPD with my second baby (he’s now 8) so I completely understand how painful it is!!! It’s soooo bad :( I really feel for you!! Make sure you rest up!! I get very confused between baby stretching out and BH but I find if the whole tummy is hard it’s usually a contraction xxxx

Sympathies all, the waiting is simultaneously super exciting and awful...

Loads of movement very low down; when the baby hits my cervix it's the most weird feeling, like someone poking their finger into my belly button
