Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

I think I see a line too. It's bloody nerve wrecking isn't it? I was expecting the worst the whole way through my last pregnancy. Going to try to be the opposite this time.

Fizzlekatz · 12/09/2018 22:07

Sending good thoughts your way LeslieLR and Momoa80 !

smcgregor1995 · 12/09/2018 23:40

Hi there, I am also due in May 2019 this is my second pregnancy I had a misscarriage on mother's day this year with my first pregnancy which was suspected twins so fingers crossed everything goes to plan this time round!

momoa80 · 13/09/2018 07:23

Thanks so much ladies. I've done a clear blue this morning and feel a bit happier with the result ☺ I'm not peeing on anymore sticks now Haha! Think it can become a bit of an obsession (definitely for me) - Momoa8o stay away from the tests 🤣🤣.

I just think once you've had a miscarriage it makes you so paranoid, also being older too.

God luck to all the ladies also waiting for a stronger line 🤞

Pebblespony · 13/09/2018 10:41

I definitely see a line there!

em254 · 13/09/2018 10:57

Hi ladies,

Sending you positive thought LeslieLR, fingers crossed it was just a bit early!

I'm currently 5+2 and due 14th May, I'm feeling okay at the minute but with my DS my sickness didn't kick in until 6 weeks.

I think I'm going to book in for a reassurance scan just to put my mind at ease as I feel like I'm constantly worrying! Confused

button86 · 13/09/2018 18:39

Can I join too? I’m 32 and this is my first. I think I’m due May 12. I’m trying to stay really positive and relaxed... and failing dismally! It doesn’t help that I’m not from the UK and finding the NHS pretty hard to navigate. Got my first appointment next week and hope that will help :)

Pebblespony · 13/09/2018 20:24

Anyone else suffering really bad cramps? I'm only 4+3 But the cramps seem to be quite serious. Don't remember this last time. Is it normal for No 2 ,I wonder.

em254 · 13/09/2018 21:51

Welcome @Button86 and congratulations! I know it’s a nerve wracking time and hopefully after your appointment next week your mind will be at ease. I think normally your first midwife appointment is around the 8 weeks mark and first scan is at 12 weeks, however that can all depend on your personal circumstances.

@pebblespony I had bad cramping and some bleeding around the 4 week mark but I think it was just implantation. I kept testing to make sure the line was staying strong.. I really panicked when i first felt the cramps, felt silly after I read it was quite normal! x

em254 · 13/09/2018 21:54

Anyone else dying to share the news? We haven’t told anyone yet and I’m so close to blurting it out! I think we will tell our family in a few weeks after the reassurance scan and that way we can share a pic! Everyone else I think will wait till we get to 12 weeks.

Time is going so slowly!!! 🙈😬

Amolly · 13/09/2018 22:03

Hi ladies. Could I join you please. I'm 29 and this will be my first. Currently 4+3 and due around 21st May.

@Pebblespony I'm with you on the cramp. Had it from about 3 dpo but the past 3 days have been worse. Keep expecting af to show up but so far no show.

Having to think about new bras already! The boobs have a mind of their own. It was my first symptom, tenderness then sharp pains on one side.

It's very hard not to get too excited. Looking at clothes and trying to agree on names. I really need to reign it back :)

Amolly · 13/09/2018 22:07

@em254 I'm feeling the same. We have told our parents and I told my sister aswell. This will be my mum's first grandchild so I want her to know everything. My friends know I was trying but I'm not sure if I want to tell them just yet or not. I'm torn. X

Dreamydaisy · 13/09/2018 23:14

Hi Everyone, congratulations on all the positive tests.

I got my positive today, still in shock abit I think. I Miscarried in april and now I'm scared to get my hopes up again this time. Have made my hubby promise not to tell a soul until after our 12 week scan, just wish time will fly by now. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean for us this time xxx

BGDino · 14/09/2018 07:07

@goldopals @expatlife

Hello from another Aussie! I’m due May 4th (Star Wars Day Grin). Have had my 5 week scan, confirmed intrauterine yolk and gestational sacs, will be having my 7 week on Monday to look for the heartbeat. (Monday can’t come fast enough.) Going privately for scans as we’ve been having fertility treatment for primary infertility (me). Conceived on round 1 of ovulation induction with letrozole. Think my vitamin D test was too low as well - too much slip slop slap wrap?! Getting used to having sore boobs and feeling sick every night/morning!

Russell19 · 14/09/2018 07:27

Hi ladies, I'm due around 21st may. How are we supposed to keep sane between now and 12 weeks? I'm already worried and panicking xx

goldopals · 14/09/2018 07:46

BGDino

I'm actually jealous of your due date. I've joked about wanting it to be early so it could have it's birthday on that day. I've even planned a star wars themed birth announcement.

I'm so glad that it is starting to get warm again and even more so that I'm under doctor's orders to get more sun. She even said that I still need to avoid sunburn but to cut back on slip slip slap!

I have to wait for the 24th for my private scan.

em254

We can't keep a secret and have told a few. I've told my immediate family and my husband's as well as someone at work so if something happens she'll be in the know.

I think I'll start telling people after the dating scan at seven weeks

expatlife · 14/09/2018 10:00

@BGDino welcome! Are you in aus at the moment?

I am terrible at keeping it a secret (my mum and a few close friends know. Although I told a random woman this morning at my DC's swimming lesson Blush(tbf she is heavily pregnant and was chatting about hospital options).

I have a scan in two weeks time for an '8 week viability scan' so once that is done will feel much more relaxed. Navigating a new medical system is always full of challenges!

MauisLeftNipple · 14/09/2018 10:31

Hey ladies, congrats on your BFPs! Feel free to join us on the main May thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3340422-May-2019-or-late-April-2019-due-date

Redken24 · 14/09/2018 14:30

My scan is 22nd October! Ages away - forgot about the hungover feeling. I'm tired of it 😂

TBay · 14/09/2018 14:55

Hi All, congratulations on all the wonderful news! Can I join too?

Took tests all of last week as I couldn’t believe it, we managed to get pregnant on the first cycle, wasn’t expecting it to be so soon! I’m 29 and my clear blue on Monday showed 3+ weeks so I think I’m due right in the middle of May! So excited but also experiencing a worldwind of emotions every day!! Not suffered with morning sickness yet though so that’s still something to look forward too 😩 what is everyone else experiencing? xx

Due May 2019
Popsalot15 · 14/09/2018 15:23

@Tbay exactly the same as me! It’s a slight shock and didn’t expect this so quickly. I am due around 16th May and have had no sickness yet just a weird bubbly feeling in my stomach sometimes. Slightly confused with how many weeks I am, the Flo seems to be adding a week saying I’m 6 weeks plus 2.

toomuchtv88 · 14/09/2018 15:48

Hello! Is it too late to join? I'm not very good with keeping up with the chat on these but I'm desperate for support!!
I'm 28, married for 6 years. Started trying in December and have so far had a loss at 13 weeks and two chemicals. I'm now approx 5 weeks :-)

Won't lie ladies I am terrified!

Russell19 · 14/09/2018 16:46

I'm terrified too!!! Ahhhhh

toomuchtv88 · 14/09/2018 17:08

@Russell19

It's so crap! I thought when we originally started I'd get pregnant and it would all be plain sailing ! Now I worry if I have symptoms, I worry if I don't! Today I don't seem to have any and straight away I'm worried baby isn't growing or something :-( even feel like I've jinxed myself joining this thread!
