Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

@Redken24 it depends on what sort. I am too small for them yet, but too big for my normal trousers. Only because they normally have the belly 'pouch' which is very obvious if you don't have a big enough bump.
I have some Primark jeggings from last pregnancy I've pulled out which seem to do the job for the moment 😊

frankiefumbles · 20/10/2018 06:27

@everythingisnew I had a very similar scan yesterday afternoon and saw the leg and arm kick. Madness! Massive congratulations. It feels like a step in the right direction.

Due May 2019
frankiefumbles · 20/10/2018 06:27

Should have said. That was at 9+3 according to measurement and LMP.

buntingandstarcharts · 21/10/2018 10:24

@frankiefumbles that's so lovely ❤️❤️

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/10/2018 14:28

Hope you don’t mind me joining this board. Going from my LMP im due 1st of June 2019 but as it’s so close I thought I would have a peek on here too!

Had a MMC at 10+3 in June (baby measured 9+3) so have fallen again pretty quickly.

Currently 8+1 so edging closer to the date I lost at in June. Good luck to everyone!

Twinningsloverbutnotanymore · 22/10/2018 10:23

@Redken24 first time posting on this but I saw your comment and thought the exact same! I'm not big enough for size 12 clothes but my size 10 are becoming uncomfortable. I bought maternity tights from Mothercare on Friday, and they are doing wonders at work today! Jus that bit extra for my excess fat I appear to have had!!

Also, I went to Primark as @expatlife suggested and they have wonderful leggins in and the tights they currently have in for winter are fluffy inside! Until I get big enough with the bump I will use the tights :)

LeslieLR · 22/10/2018 11:16

Welcome to the board @Iswallowtoothpaste!

So we just came back from my 12w scan and all is well. Baby measuring at 11+5 so growing as it should compared to previous scans. Due date is now officially May 8th!

We again saw a very active baby, moving around non stop, kicking arms and legs! Good news all around :)

Time to start telling people the news as so far, we only told my sister and my boss!

em254 · 22/10/2018 11:59

Hi Ladies, how is everyone getting on?

I’ve been a bit quiet recently as been feeling really anxious. Just to recap, I’m currently 10+6 due 14th of May and already had a private scan & all was good. This is my second baby and first pregnancy went well. However recently a friend at work lost her baby at 7 months, which is devastating. I have been reading a lot on news about Stillbirth and watched the Chanel 4 documentary child of mine. It has been stillbirth awareness month. I think it is a taboo subject that needs to be addressed. However my mind is now in overdrive and I’m constantly thinking “what if this happens to me”. Does anyone else ever have these thoughts? I feel totally consumed at the moment thinking something will go wrong when I have no reason too.

Sorry to sound negative, I just needed to let it out. Xx

everythingisnew · 22/10/2018 12:08

@LeslieLR great news on your scan Smile you must be over the moon! That's the big milestone I'm waiting for.

@em254 yes, I completely get how you are feeling. I had a private scan at 9 weeks and all was perfect, but it doesn't make it any easier to stop worrying about anything and everything.

I am 9+5 today and I felt great all weekend. Yippee some might say... no, it had me in a constant state of worry. I spent all weekend googling why my symptoms had disappeared'. I didn't feel tired or nauseous or anything. However come this morning, and back emptying the contents of my stomach and having to go for a lay down! Perhaps baby is just unhappy about me working (thankfully from home).

How is everyone else feeling and how have your symptoms been so far - little, lots, constant, changing?

Lorrie3 · 22/10/2018 12:24

@em254 and @everythingisnew I am so glad to read your posts I had the very same worries all weekend, my symptoms totally disappeared and it freaked me out. In had a scan at what should have been 11 weeks but it was only 8+3 by measurement but we saw a heartbeat and they were happy as I wasn't ttc so unsure of my dates! Had mild nausea and some aches here and there and major bloating. I think I'm just constantly worried its not growing, so anxious. Funnily though as u say @em254 now that I'm back in work today I feel some of the mild symptoms returning!!!

buntingandstarcharts · 22/10/2018 13:15

@everythingisnew I am 9 weeks today and have had so few symptoms (barely a thing) that I've already had two scans! Everything looking healthy and good, cute little heartbeat etc. Just haven't had any sickness, tiredness, aches or pains. I did get big boobs early on but even that has died down. Anyone else in a similar position? You could say I'm lucky but also it makes you crazy as you don't even feel pregnant! Xxxx

Noodella18 · 22/10/2018 13:45

Congrats to everyone for the successful scans!

@em254 Flowers I can imagine it must be particularly nervewracking for you. Fingers crossed.

I'm 11 weeks today and feeling fairly rough, had a particularly brutal vom sesh this morning because I didn't get toast into my system fast enough! Gotta love some pre-8am bile. Those of you not getting morning sickness - I do understand that must also be disconcerting, but once you know all is fine please do look back and feel grateful because it's utterly horrendous!

I'm nowhere near needing mat clothes, nothing to see here. I'm not even sure what to buy when I do need them - do the bump bits stretch or do you get different sizes for different stages?!

bumblebee39 · 22/10/2018 13:47

May 20 according to due date calculator.

❤️💙

Will you be finding out the gender? Will this be your first child?
& do you have names in mind already?

Xx

bumblebee39 · 22/10/2018 13:48

Anyone else showing already? Xx

em254 · 22/10/2018 14:28

Thanks everyone! Actually just saying it outloud on here has already made me feel a little better. I know I need to just think positive and make the most of where I am at the moment. Most of my nausea has disappeared, I should maybe be celebrating that instead of worrying! Roll on the next 6 1/2 / 7 months until we can all hold our baby’s! X

LeslieLR · 22/10/2018 14:33

@bumblebee39, I wouldn't say I'm showing just yet but I definitely had to invest into a belly belt as button wouldn't fasten on my jeans anymore. It's mainly bloat to be honest. I'm very slim and petite (got to thank my inherited super strength metabolism for that...) so I figured I'd show on the early side. And I've been eating like a madwoman so already gained a few kg...

frankiefumbles · 22/10/2018 15:26

@Iswallowtoothpaste how can you swallow toothpaste?!!! ;)

@bumblebee39 I have a list of names already and definitely finding out gender but convinced it's a girl. Mainly I tell everyone this so they can laugh when I'm wrong! I've got a lot of bloat and a bit extra podge but when you look carefully there is a distinct little bugle at the bottom of the tummy/top of pelvis that is baby related!

@em254 having had two MCs I am definitely continuously concerned about having another. I don't think there is anything to improve the nerves other than time. The only consolation is that your friend must have been incredibly unlucky and the chances of that happening to you as well are incredibly remote.

Welcome to all newbies and congrats on the positive scans!

Redken24 · 22/10/2018 18:44

@Twinningsloverbutnotanymore

I had some maternity trousers hemmed today cause now I have had my 12 weeks scan I'm like flick it - want to be comfy.

My scan today put me at 13 weeks an two days which means an April due date.
But I'm going to go with my original as I think just a long baby x

Tayel · 22/10/2018 21:33

Im with you other ladies who are worrying! After 2 miscarriages im so scared of another missed miscarriage, I had a scan 7+3 which showed heartbeat and growing well and ive just booked another for Thursday ill be 9+4.

Wish i could have a nice pregnancy with no worry like I would have if i hadnt experiences the miscarriages.

Lorrie3 · 22/10/2018 21:52

@tayel so sorry to hear of your losses however please don’t be hard on yourself you will see from my post above I worried sick and very anxious and I fortunately haven’t experienced any losses this is my first pregnancy! The worry is still there regardless x

bumblebee39 · 22/10/2018 22:03

I think because this is DC3 (4 if you count an early miscarriage I had before DC1) I am really showing already. I had only just lost my tummy after DC2 and not completely.

Don't want to see any of my extended family and friends right now I'm sure they'll be able to tell! Xx

Iswallowtoothpaste · 23/10/2018 05:56

@Tayel, I’m in a similar psi toon to you, had an early MC then a MMC and I’m a week away from the date where I lost the baby last time so getting quite anxious.

MMC is the worst, it really is.

frankiefumbles · 23/10/2018 06:48

Tbh any mc sucks but mmc is my fear. Are you both aware of

Pregnancy after loss: spring 2019 edition (The Brexit Babes) 🐧www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3325046-Pregnancy-after-loss-spring-2019-edition-The-Brexit-Babes

For the "penguin huddle" with extra support? It's sometimes easier to talk about mc fears there as obviously you are amongst others who have had similar experiences.

expatlife · 23/10/2018 07:51

I had another scan last night and all going well. Such a relief - I was very anxious prior to the scan! I'm 11+3 and measuring correctly.
I'm convinced this one is a boy and the sonographer winked at me when I said that at the scan - so although too early to know, I am going with my gut feeling! 😂
We've already started a name list, different cultures for me and my husband so always make it interesting deciding! Our DC has quite an unusual name, without being too unusual I think (?!), so the challenge is on for the next one!

frankiefumbles · 23/10/2018 08:27

@expatlife my sonographer indicated at 9+4 I was right that it is a girl, but what a cheeky wink. I'm sure it's too early to tell!
