Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

@lifechanginglemoncake same here.... some nights I'm up loads through the night and can't sleep because of how pregnant I feel and then I'll have a couple of nights where I'm totally normal, don't need the loo, feel completely not pregnant and panic! 😂

Redken24 · 09/10/2018 19:39

Heya guys glad most are OK. It's a funny time waiting for the 12 weeks.
Is any of you first babies? Sorry if that is insensitive. This will be my second child (hopefully) I have stopped drinking water after nine at night I was tired of getting up through the night 😂 was at the dr today due to severe reflux (don't remember the being that bad last time)

CeeCee88 · 09/10/2018 20:52

Hi @Redken24 I'm pregnant with my first. It's so odd because I keep going through days where I don't feel any different and other days where I feel super pregnant. My boobs seem to have doubled already, which I'm actually delighted about. Grin
I've had very little nausea but am constantly tired.

The wait is getting to me but I've decided to try and not stress out over everything. Fingers crossed we all have sticky little beans. Smile

LeslieLR · 09/10/2018 21:16

So we're back from the scan and it's all good news. Measuring 9+4 with strong heartbeat. Little peanut was very active moving around and pumping its arms. I might have shed a couple of tears when I saw that! Now I just need to wait until the 12 weeks scan so I can start relaxing a bit!

Redken24 · 10/10/2018 04:45

@ceecee88

Aw I hope so! Have you told anyone else yet? First time around I told my pals n that before 12 weeks. But not this time. Not sure why.

Rubberduckies · 10/10/2018 08:12

redken Yes this is my first too. Despite mahusive boobs, morning sickness, ridiculous night peeing and falling asleep on the sofa by 7pm each night, I'm still struggling to believe I'm pregnant. Got an early scan tomorrow at 7+3 which I'm very excited about. I've told 2 people at work - one because I was being sent on a very expensive course and I wanted to know if I was 'stealing the place of someone else who really wanted it (I wasn't and the course was fab) and also my boss because I'm struggling in the mornings so needed to change all my early shifts. And I need some adjustments to the patients I see.

leslie that's great news about the scan. So pleased it was all fine.

lemoncake I'm finding I'm weeing every couple of hours at night, but seems to have stayed the same during the day. Not sure why that is, but I'd much prefer the other way around, I'm knackered!!

Has anyone got any foolproof morning sickness cures? Mine was to avoid brushing my teeth until I'd been up for a while and has some toast and tea. Failed this morning because I threw up in the kitchen sink while my toast was toasting.....

Rubberduckies · 10/10/2018 08:12

The paragraphs disappearing is really winding me up.....any ideas why it's not working?

Kimberlily · 10/10/2018 10:28

Ladies, does anyone know when we are supposed to start 'blooming?' I am so fed up looking like a half shut knife all the time, and a fat one at that!!! X

Bluebird4 · 10/10/2018 10:46

Hi @Redken24 this is my third (ten year gap) I had identical twins when I was 30. May as well be my first... I seem to have forgotten everything!

CeeCee88 · 10/10/2018 10:55

@Redken24 So far we've only told our best friends and the management/HR at work. Work was basically informed because we went through IUI and they've been super supportive so far, so wanted to keep them in the loop.

We're wanting to keep it quiet until the 12 week mark if possible, but are planning to tell our families in person at the beginning of November, as we'll see them then. (both our families don't live locally)

@Rubberduckies I can see the paragraphs fine in your post. Did you maybe look at it on your mobile and it's played up there?

I can sympathise on the mahoosive boobs btw. I'm usually very flat-chested and feel like I've nearly outgrown my bras already... [schock]

Hope your morning sickness gets better soon!!

@Kimberlily Not got a clue, so far I just feel quite bloated all the time... Hmm

buntingandstarcharts · 10/10/2018 12:24

Ladies! I am so happy to say that we had our early scan and the little heartbeat was there pumping away! 7 weeks 2 day! Woop! So no sicknsss wasn't a cause for concern thank god! Xxx

expatlife · 10/10/2018 18:36

@buntingandstarcharts congrats! Such a relief to see the heartbeat on the scan!

buntingandstarcharts · 10/10/2018 19:22

@expatlife thanks so much! I was just so nervous as I seemed to have so few symptoms. I'm just so relieved. Xxxxx

Rubberduckies · 12/10/2018 07:58

I had my private scan yesterday at 7+3. She couldn't pick up much transabdominally but with the dildo scanner we saw our little bean, standing on it's head, with its little yolk sac and flickering heart beat!

I though it would all sink in a bit once I saw that but if anything I feel even more disbelief! It's like a very detailed and elaborate dream.....

The computer measured it as 7+1 but apparently it is still fine for 7+3 so she left the due date as it is. I hope we keep it, its our wedding anniversary!

Noodella18 · 12/10/2018 10:49

Hi all,

Due May 13th, first baby :)

Had an early scan last week at 8+2 because midwife was concerned I was having daily spotting. Saw the heartbeat so feeling a bit more confident now.

Currently suffering with sickness and acid reflux which is really shit and stops me wanting to eat (which makes the morning sickness worse).

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

buntingandstarcharts · 12/10/2018 13:00

@Noodella18 and @Rubberduckies yay that's wonderful ❤️❤️

CeeCee88 · 12/10/2018 13:23

@Rubberduckies I actually cannot stop laughing at the "dildo scanner"... too funny!

Amazing news though, I bet you're so pleased!!

And @noodella18 that's brilliant!! I'm sure all will go well. How's the sickness and acid reflux now? Have you found anything that helps?

Noodella18 · 12/10/2018 15:42

@ceecee well I cracked and went to the doctor who gave me some omeprazole for the reflux and cyclizine for the nausea whilst the omeprazole kicks in. So far not really seeing any effect of either Confused but really hoping they kick in soon!

Have you been suffering too?

Redken24 · 12/10/2018 17:13

Reflux is awful I have been suffering something awful as well. Have u tried apple cider vinegar or even sparkling water both are awful but after five days of feeling like shit. These actually help me, have been prescribe omepraxole and ranitidine to take both byt was doing nothing.

Noodella18 · 12/10/2018 18:32

@redken oh right, so did the vinegar work? How did you take it? Did you carry on with the omeprazole and ranatadine at the same time? I’m not getting pain, just it feels like I have a lump in my chest, it’s so uncomfortable and nauseating :(

Redken24 · 12/10/2018 18:50

After two days of double dosing the drugs I was googling like a crazy person. And I seen this "test" in case the reason I'm getting so much reflux is due to not enough acid. I didn't have any bicarbonate in to do the first one so attempted number two which is a teaspoon of ACV in a shotglass of water. And after a wee while it had subsided! Couldn't believe it 😂 honestly the pain I had on Monday was so OTT all week been feeling drained and waking up through the night. Hopefully just a first trimester thing - I normally don't suffer as badly! The sparkling water is so disgusting but not sure what it doing in my tummy but definitely helped. Managed to eat my dinner first time this week. X

Lorrie3 · 12/10/2018 19:32

Hey ladies gonna join here if thats ok was over in the April chat but had my '12 weeks scan today and my dates were quite off so I'm actually only 9weeks and due may 23rd
But so relived to see the little bubs and a heartbeat!

Bluebird4 · 13/10/2018 08:32

Hi @Lorrie3 welcome to May's board! Yes.... it's a relief to see a little heart beat isn't it?

Tayel · 14/10/2018 00:55

Hi Ladies,

Im joining a bit late but due 26th May, currently 8 weeks after 2 miscarriages so nervous is an understatement!

Had a scan at 7+3 which showed heartbeat which is a massive relief but still so worried :(

My scan showed at 5cm cyst on my ovary... apparently this is fine and will only be an issue if carries on growing and gets painful. Has anyone ever had this? X

Mummab3ar · 15/10/2018 08:11

Hey ladies hope you don't mind me joining. I'm due on the 8 May. This is my third, and I am SO bloated Shock!

I feel like I look further along than the 10+5 I am. Perhaps I'm just noticing it because I was very slim before? Who knows. Also has anyone else got really sensative nipples? (sorry if tmi lol). I literally can't go in the showered because of how sensative they are, baths are my staple at the moment lol.

I have my booking appointment on Wednesday (when I turn 11 weeks), but haven't had my scan yet Sad. Hopefully that comes through sooner rather than later. Is anyone else still waiting on their scan and getting a bit anxious?

I know I still have time, but I just want to make sure they are able to do my checks.
