Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

Congratulations @Hughem and welcome

em254 · 02/10/2018 19:44

Such sad news @TheEighthMrsSK look after yourself.

CeeCee88 · 02/10/2018 20:58

I'm so sorry to hear this @TheEightMrsSK - rest up and look after yourself and best of luck for the future.

Had my 8 week scan yesterday, baby measuring 8 weeks exactly with a strong heartbeat. Such a relief! However the sonographer was running 30 mins behind and had an issue printing photos (so I don’t have any) My appointment only ended up being around 5 mins as well so he could catch up. With the prices they charge for a private scan, I complained so I’m getting another one next week for free!

sprinkleofsunshine · 03/10/2018 09:04

Great news @em254 don't blame you for complaining.

expatlife · 04/10/2018 08:27

@em254 such a relief to see the little beating heart on the screen! And an extra scan 🤗

em254 · 04/10/2018 15:42

I definitely breathed a sigh of relief seeing that little heartbeat 😀

Ladies, I’m in desperate need of getting my roots done.. my hair is horrific! is it after 12 weeks you can dye your hair?

Floofsquidge · 04/10/2018 16:21

@em254 I have an existing appointment set for end of Oct when I'll be just shy of 11 weeks, also worried. Found this on nhs site though which suggests risks are very low
www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/pregnancy/is-it-safe-to-use-hair-dye-when-i-am-pregnant-or-breastfeeding/

expatlife · 04/10/2018 16:53

@em254 I think the risk is quite low. My last pregnancy I definitely had it done in the first trimester and I actually had my hair done a fortnight ago, I didn't even think about it Blush

Kimberlily · 04/10/2018 21:04

Hi @em254, I have had my hair dyed twice already, one a home kit and one at hairdressers. I think the risk is low but the only thing I would watch is the colour doesn't come out different from what you are hoping for. I am normally blonde and I turned completely brunette after using an ash blonde dye. They say your hormones affect the colour! X

gemwhitt · 04/10/2018 21:38

Hi Ladies, I'm joining rather late too! I'm 7+1, due 23rd May. Same as you @Pancakes7
I had a MMC at 10w in May this year, after TTC for 12months. I'm 35 so really want to get this show on the road!
I started getting morning sickness around 6w, but it's been coming and going. Yesterday I had a total disappearance of all symptoms, but have felt them come back today.
Decided to bite the £95-bullet and go for a private scan tomorrow after work. Just want to know if there is hope, or if I need to prepare for another MC.
Is anyone else being phenomenally lazy, for fear of dislodging something! I've watched a lot of TV lately.

Pancakes7 · 04/10/2018 23:10

@gemwhitt Wow that's exactly like me. Due date 23rd May and also mmc in May. I hope we are both lucky the time around. Let me know how your scan goes. Mines Saturday. You should join us over here. All women who've been through mc's and are pregnant again. Great support.

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 10:15

I've just gone to the toilet and wiped and had the faintest amount of blood, honestly like a dot but a few times on the tissue. What's concerning me is it was red not bright but a light sort of red orange. I'm 7+1 has anyone had this?

I'm absolutely freaking out, I've had two previous losses but very early before. I'm not having any pain, back has been aching for the last day but that's top of my bum around the coccyx area very low and it's more like it needs to click as opposed to pain iyswim. I hope it doesn't progress into anything, it's just knocked me as I've not blood this pregnancy and was hoping that was a good sign.

expatlife · 05/10/2018 10:21

@sprinkleofsunshine I haven't this pregnancy, but my last pregnancy I had a huge bleed and cramping. Was absolutely petrified, but went for a scan the next day and all was fine. I think I was about 8 or 9 weeks?
Can you try and get a private scan to check everything? Hope you're ok - I know how scary it is!

gemwhitt · 05/10/2018 19:59

Thanks for the link @Pancakes7. I'll check it out. I had my scan and it was great! So glad I did it. It measured a good size, putting it bang on 7+3 (I'm 7+2 today). There was loads of room in the sac (not like last time), and a strong heartbeat. Everything I could have hoped for really.
I know this doesn't guarantee everything will turn out fine, but I'm definitely more optimistic.
Good luck at yours tomorrow! I'm sure it will be great for you too.
The scan pic makes it look really rubbish, but it was actually amazing.

Pancakes7 · 05/10/2018 20:05

@gemwhitt I'm so glad your scan went well. I'm terrified for mine tomorrow. Feel so anxious.

gemwhitt · 05/10/2018 20:09

@Pancakes7, it's normal to feel anxious. I couldn't sleep last night for all the worry (although I think part of that was work).
Even if you get bad news tomorrow, better to know now, than later.
But the most likely thing is everything will be fine.
Keeping everything crossed for you, keep us posted!

frankiefumbles · 06/10/2018 08:11

@Pancakes7 good luck!

I'm on the first plane of three and I'm going all the way through until U.K. 6am tomorrow! Wish me luck. First flight 8h50.

Feeling really positive after scan yesterday showing a little heartbeat and fairly good measurements based on the expected late ovulation. 149bpm

sprinkleofsunshine · 06/10/2018 10:24

Good luck today @Pancakes7

The dr Called me in yesterday after I rang. Thankfully it was those few dots and nothing else and no pain or anything so hoping all is ok. I am however getting a scan on Wednesday.

Super anxious for that I'm sure I will be a mess on the day so know where too are coming from. I wasn't going to have an early scan but it will be great to hopefully see everything is all ok in there with little one.

Pancakes7 · 06/10/2018 13:02

Thanks @frankiefumbles and @Sprinkleofsunshine scan went well. Baby is measuring on track 7 weeks +2. Heart beating. Standing on its head.

Redken24 · 09/10/2018 12:14

How's everyone doing?

LeslieLR · 09/10/2018 12:46

Hey @redken24, counting the hours until my scan tonight, I'm so nervous!
My last scan measured me behind what I thought I was so have been having all sorts of scary thoughts that the peanut wasn't growing well etc.. I caved and paid for a private scan which is tonight. Depending on LMP or previous scan, I'm either 10+4 or 9+5 respectively.
I really hope all is well with a strong heartbeat and growing as it should!
Hope you ladies are all doing great x

expatlife · 09/10/2018 13:03

@Redken24 hi! Just counting down the weeks until my next scan (not for another 4 weeks - I'll be 13+1). I'm now not fitting any of my work trousers and had a colleague guess the other day, so feeling slightly self conscious (tbf I think it's pretty obvious!!). Sickness coming and going still, as well as pregnancy rhinitis appearing.
Hope everyone else is well. Good luck with your scan tonight @LeslieLR

Bluebird4 · 09/10/2018 13:17

Hi everyone 👋🏻 I'm glad it's not just me that's not fitting in trousers.... I'm defo starting to show 😳 at 10 weeks almost.

lifechanginglemoncake · 09/10/2018 14:21

Anyone else finding some days they have to pee constantly and other days less than before they were pregnant?
Last night I was up in the night and very early this morning but now barely needed to go all day. Assuming this is normal?!
