I'm due a week after you and am SO ready! (In terms of discomfort - in terms of actually being ready I'm nowhere near!).

Was offered a c section on 20th Sept today, and am so tempted to accept, just so I can meet this baby sooner... I kinda want to try a natural delivery though, so I guess I'll have a few more weeks... wouldn't mind a natural labour starting around 39 weeks though!

I guess they'll come when they're good and ready though :)

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 13:46

Yes,exactly! My first daughter was 2 weeks late,my youngest was 2 weeks early 😂so who knows! Ohh really, have you had a previous section?xx

Due just before you. The countdown is on... Tired of being pregnant now.

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 14:03

Are you still at work @reader1984? I don’t finish till the 6th September so tired xx

Due 13th September and so done with being pregnant 😂.
Going to start doing anything i can to try and bring Labour on and get this baby out early. All the best ladies

DailyFailAreTwats · 20/08/2018 15:59

Due on 22nd! Over pregnancy now, but the thought of actually having a baby still seems quite unreal!

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 16:30

I’ve heard the best thing to start you off if your ready that is,is sex!!! Something in the mans sperm can help your contractions start xx

Due 30th September. Starting maternity leave 31st August. Cant wait, im exhausted, uncomfortable, i cant concentrate properly, im just done.

All along ive had a big bump but its been very neat. Think football under my top. Today i woke up and literally overnight my bump has spread out. Im suddenly very sloppy. Anyone else have this around 34 weeks??

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 16:37

No I’m the same bump wise just like a football and no weight anywhere else, lucky really. I’m having a boy after two girls completely different pregnancy xx

I'm a teacher so luckily enjoying 6 weeks off. Doubt I'll go back but haven't decide yet...

ichifanny · 20/08/2018 16:53

I’m due 23rd September but booked in for a c section the 6th of September , I’m so excited , got mostbthings ready now .

HollyGoLoudly1 · 20/08/2018 17:06

Due the same time + I've been complaining for about a month already that I just want the baby to hurry up + get here 😂 Roll on the first contraction!

K9pal7 · 20/08/2018 17:07

I've read that sex is meant to be good to start labour, no wonder am always trying to get it every night now🤣
I always do a lot of walking.
Lucky my bump hasn't been too big all the way through out my pregnancy (36+4) i thought I'll have a massive bump and put 10 stone on

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 17:17

From 37 weeks which is a week on Friday for me I’m starting to get into action and try get things moving xx

I'm due 22nd and about to order exercise ball and probably raspberry leaf tea as well. Mat leave has started so going to try and get everything organised this week. My fingers have started to feel... Weird. They're not swollen but feel as if they are.

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 17:38

I started the raspberry tea at 33 weeks just one cup a day it only helps prepare the cervix and speeds up second part of labour,it did help with my youngest. The joints hurt in my fingers? Really odd xx

OP posts:
SlimGin · 20/08/2018 17:45

Ah great I'll get some in! I guess it is the joints it's hard to explain, they don't hurt just kind of ache!

birdybirdbird · 20/08/2018 19:05

C section booked for the 21st. I’m a teacher too @Reader1984, planning to waddle in for first 2 weeks to get more time off at the end (taking SPL
with DH). We’ve got all the ‘big’ things - car seat, crib, pram etc - but feeling unprepared on the small stuff! Have hardly any clothes, no nursing supplies, clothes for me etc. People keep asking if I’ve packed my hospital bag yet but haven’t really got anything to put in it!

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 19:52

Make a list of things you need and go get it all in one that’s what I did and came out with this lot! Only went in boots and matalan all sorted! £170 lighter but made me feel so much better 👌🏼

I'm due on the 15th. Have a growth scan tomorrow as the baby was measuring too big at 32 weeks. Then have to discuss options with consultant, with the option being induction. I really don't want an induction so hoping growth has tailed off a bit and we're back in the normal range.

I've been on raspberry leaf tea for a few weeks now and have just started on the dates and the ball bouncing!

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 20:39

My best friend was induced on 7th August due to her baby measuring really big. She had him on the 9th ended in an emergency c section bless her,she had a really hard time of it xx

OP posts:
OliveOrTwist · 20/08/2018 21:16

Oh no Lucy that sounds traumatic. How big was her baby in the end? And at what gestation was she induced? Sorry for questions, I'm just really not looking forward to this appointment tomorrow.

Does everyone know what they're having? We didn't find out, so impatient to know now!

Anjied · 20/08/2018 21:39

I am due on 16 Sep. C section booked for 10 Sep. 36wks now & working till 31 Aug. Had growth scan at 35wks as baby on small side & head is already low in pelvis

LucyLou19 · 20/08/2018 22:19

@olive he was born at 37 weeks and weighed 9lb 3 😮 she had 6 failed sweeps then induced but pushed for two hours in the end they did her a section. We’re having a boy after two girls! We’re so bloody excited it’s unreal xx

I finished work on Saturday and soooo glad to be on maternity leave now!

Just need to decorate his room now and then I'm good to go. I'm happy for him to arrive any time after 1st September really
