Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

@Chivari thank you for that. I'm hoping that is the case🤞🏼

foreverhopeful7 · 20/08/2018 16:57

@FSlater very sensitive/sore nipples here too! Actual boobs not too bad, they just feel a little heavier. I've also been having some cramps (only this morning and seem to have gone now) so hoping nothing to worry about...

Gupster · 20/08/2018 17:01

Hi lovely ladies,I am 6 +2 and this is my first. I had an early scan Friday as I had a scare the week before, all is well I saw the little bean and it's heartbeat and no signs of any issues.
I have sore nipples, tired all the time, have cravings for tinned tomatoes and have gone off chocolate already.
I think these groups are great and so helpful.
Good luck to you all, looking forward to hearing and sharing our experiences over the month's to come xx 😁

Gupster · 20/08/2018 17:06

Oh and nauseous ALL the time which I'm hoping will pass, as I hate feeling like this

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 20/08/2018 17:08

Gupster that’s so funny I was addicted to tinned tomatoes in my last pregnancy :)
I’m 5+1 due the 21st April :)

donna474 · 20/08/2018 18:28

Have got my booking in appointment for 16th September, very excited for that. Was thinking of starting a Facebook group for people in this group to join, good opportunity for posting about specifics and pictures etc. Would anyone be interested in joining if I sorted it? Would make it a closed group obviously so your mates wouldn't all see you are in it!

No FB for me, I love the anonymity of mumsnet :)

jellybeann · 20/08/2018 19:22

@MrsBonnie I’m hoping so too!! This baby wasn’t planned (I’m sorry if that upsets anyone, I can’t imagine what it’s like to hear about people unexpectedly getting pregnant if you’ve been struggling) so I’m just hoping that I’ll be able to cope with University and being a Mummy at the same time!

My GP said she would refer me to midwife, but rang the midwife centre myself over a week later to book myself a dating scan because it was taking a while and she said my GP must have forgotten/there was a mistake somewhere in the process as I wasn’t on their system. My GP also told me to go back and see her a week after my scan, which I am doing tomorrow, but today the midwife rang me and said she didn’t understand what my GP is doing as she would’ve thought I would be having my booking in appt within the next week or so! I have never used this GP before as I moved into the area recently, but I definitely don’t have a great opinion on them so far! :(

Evening all. Hope everyone is doing okay! I'm am absolutely exhausted, boobs are killing me and I am SO BLOATED by the end of the day. Not felt sick so praying it keeps away.

Chivari · 20/08/2018 20:15

Same here @CrystalBlaze I'm extra exhausted tonight. My exhaustion starts at about 2.30-3pm and that's me done for the day lol by the time I am walking out the office I can't wait to get home and lie down (and take my work clothes off that are getting more fitted over my stomach by the day). Tempted to buy some maternity clothes but don't want to jinx anything.

I'm with @SheRaTheAllPowerful @donna474 Lovely idea but I love the anonymity of Mumsnet. My DH and I are keeping our pregnancy confidential at the moment and would hate for it to leak early.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 20/08/2018 20:20

jellybeann mine was a surprise too, I’m nearly 40 with 8 year old twins, I thought I was on the home stretch & it’s back to babies! Am delighted though, I’m hopeful it will all work out well!

clara318 · 20/08/2018 21:13

Hey! First pregnancy here! I think I'm 7 + 4. Got my booking appt with MW tomorrow so hoping it'll all feel more real - I've just taken a test because I still don't feel pregnant really. Haven't been sick yet - never thought I'd be sad about that! Hope you're all well!

Lisaloo15 · 20/08/2018 21:15

My boobs are actually bursting out my bra already!! And I'm only 4+5??!! Went to GP today who has put on my records that I can get medication for hyperemesis without having to get an appointment first so that's a comfort for me! Made a phone call to the midwife unit too so she said they would see me around 12th sept Smile all feels a bit more real now! So excited for us all and hoping for happy healthy pregnancies and of course babies!! I've gone right off sweet things already too and feeling very picky over food!

donna474 · 20/08/2018 21:33

@Lisaloo15 I'm 4+5 today too. I feel like I have a craving for something but cannot put my finger on it, drove me mental walking around Asda today not sure what it was that I wanted but just knowing that it was something!

Lisaloo15 · 21/08/2018 06:59

Yes!!! It's so frustrating even drinks aren't easy to choose, I don't remember being like this last time so early on lol

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 21/08/2018 11:20

I'm 7 1/2 weeks. Only DH knows, and I'm hoping to keep it that way. :-) Weeks 10-12 we'll be on holiday with the in laws, so I'm not sure how well I'll be able to hide it, but I'm going to try!

TheMagicTorch · 21/08/2018 11:33

Hi everyone can I jump on 🙂 Expecting our first little one 21 April 2019
5+2 and got an early scan booked for 7+1 so can't wait.

My boobs are heavy and nipples so tender! Little nauseous but no sickness yet, and just feeling excited and nervous in general.

@FSlater I have been feeling so bloated too!

Saw my GP last Wednesday who said she would refer me to midwife but haven't heard anything yet so might ring the practice tomorrow to see if I have to do it myself.

CrystalBlaze · 21/08/2018 11:43

Hello @Themagictorch! Lovely to see you over here! I am also really bloated. Going to go for a swim today I think

HollyMcA · 21/08/2018 11:50

Hi, can I join? I'm 5wks +6 today and this is our first , due around April 19th Smile
I have my booking appointment on the 31st and an early scan as i'm under the care of the miscarriage clinic at St James, Leeds.
Super nervous!

donna474 · 21/08/2018 14:59

@TheMagicTorch good to see you over here. I went to my GP last Monday who sent off a notification of pregnancy form to midwife. I actually rang midwife yesterday as wasn't sure when they would contact me, she found my paperwork and booked my appointment with me there and then so may be worth just calling your local midwife team. That's how it seems to work in Shropshire anyway

Love that loads of our babies are due between 19-21 April 19! 🍼🍼👶🏼👶🏼

donna474 · 21/08/2018 19:14

Felt panicky today as if something was wrong, all in my head as got a BFP when I tested (couldn't help myself), wasn't the strongest of lines but my wee was very very light, will test again in a few days if feeling doubtful again. On the other hand I'm a bit emotional today, just cried watching Friends when Ross finds out he's having a boy!

OP posts:
Chivari · 21/08/2018 19:44

Awww @donna474 I know the feeling. I am aiming to test once per week until my scan just for piece of mind. I am also mega emotional and feel like crying at the slightest thing. But apart from sore nipples, tiredness and bloating, I don't feel pregnant so have also felt a bit worried that I'm not pregnant or that something is going to go wrong. Just relaxxxx 🙂🙂

LynzSxx · 21/08/2018 21:39

@Chivari @donna474 I feel the same! I'm constantly worrying and I don't have any symptoms😔

Vegemiteee · 21/08/2018 22:33

Congratulations everyone on your exciting news! 💕
I'm 6+6 weeks with my first after casually trying since February, found out at 4+2 ❤️ Feeling magical about it all and food is just bloody amazing right now 😂 I discovered Vegemite today and put it on pasta because I love it so much!! Can also get through a big jar of gherkins in 2 days!
Does anyone else have any funky cravings? I miss coffee so bad, I'm a children's intensive care nurse and struggling doing 12.5 hour shifts without it! Taking naps most days when I'm not at work!!
How are you getting through the wait til scan? I'm a bit nervous about having to wait so long!! Mines not til 5th October because I'm on holiday and my booking appointment is the 15th Sept.. I've told family and a few friends to try make it seem more real and keep positive! xx
