Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

@ChaosMoon I guess it's just frustrating as it's so lovely to watch them on the screen 😊

ChaosMoon · 14/11/2018 20:34

It really is! 😍😍😍

Buttons28 · 16/11/2018 09:59

@beaa2712 I'm 17+5 and I haven't felt any movement yet. Had my 16 week appointment on Monday and got to hear the heartbeat so I know it's still doing fine in there. She even said she could hear it moving when listening to the heartbeat.

20 week scan booked for 3rd December so not too long to wait. Symptoms have eased but now battling a cold 🙄

Hope everyone is well x

wjlar · 16/11/2018 12:00

I feel like I'm way late with this. But I'm here anyway. This is mine and my husband's first! We're due April 22!

beaa2712 · 17/11/2018 18:05

@Buttons28 ah okay well hopefully Its just normal that I haven't felt baby love just yet! Just want to feel it now as even after hearing the heartbeat still feels so unreal! Have our 20 week scan 30th November so nearly there. As am I battling a stinking cold and have been pretty ill over the past 4-5 weeks since having the flu jab!🤧

ChaosMoon · 17/11/2018 21:29

Welcome @wjlar and congratulations!

@beaa2712 I'm full of cold too and I've been feeling very dirty doggie myself. It sucks not being able to take anything but my adorable DS has made me homemade cough medicine which has a wonderful placebo effect! 😂 I hope yours clears soon.

beaa2712 · 17/11/2018 22:25

@ChaosMoon yes that is the thing isn't it not being able to clear it with any medication!! I work in a nursery as well so constantly catching something!!!

MigMog · 18/11/2018 10:08

@beaa2712 same on the bugs. Since my jab/hitting the second tri I've just had bugs.

A chest infection which went for a day, then resulted in thrush, then an other cough. And now my asthma is terrible. I had to go for an anti d last night as the pessary caused spotting. I was there ages because my heart rate was high, caused by my inhaler because my asthma was just not shifting.

Feel like I've been falling apart recently. Just want the lovely part of the second tri that everyone talks about.

Today I'm feeling a bit better but lots of niggles, I think my uterus and muscles are having a stretching out day.

TooSkoolForKool · 18/11/2018 15:31

Hey 👋 can I join in? I'm due my 1st on 30th April so just make this thread. We are super excited although I feel like I actually know nothing haha

LittleTopic · 20/11/2018 15:15

waves can I Join? Smile

Currently 18 weeks pregnant with our first - due 23 April :)

No real movements yet but some odd wiggly sensations!

Buttons28 · 20/11/2018 23:12

Welcome @LittleTopic @TooSkoolForKool @wjlar how are you all?

How are everybody's colds and bugs doing? Hopefully getting better? I'm still struggling to shift mine and I've just had my flu jab so hopefully that won't delay me getting better. It's really hard not being able to take anything for it.

Can't believe we are around the half way point already 😁

wjlar · 21/11/2018 00:24

I'm good! We went to Window to the Womb a couple of days ago and found out we've got ourselves a little baby boy! We don't have many boys in the family, out of the 30+ cousins there are only 3 boys! So I'm happy the first great grandchild has broken it and is a boy!

ChaosMoon · 21/11/2018 10:11

Hi @TooSkoolForKool and @LittleTopic!

I hope you're feeling better soon @Buttons28. And @MigMog. Have you seen a consultant about your asthma since you got your bfp?

And happy halfway mark to everyone hitting their 20 week mark!

My anomaly scan isn't until next week but I have an internal scan tomorrow to measure my cervix. I have a family history of late miscarriage so they want to see if I might have a weakened cervix too. I'll be glad when it's done and I can tick that worry off my list (more or less...)

I just don't know if I'll get a quick look at the baby at the same time. It would seem mean not to, right?

LittleTopic · 21/11/2018 10:23

Thank you @Buttons28 and @ChaosMoon!

Thankfully all has been well so far...but I never knew your coccyx could hurt quite so much Shock

@wjlar I had a Window to the Womb scan too - I keep wanting to go back!

MigMog · 21/11/2018 15:08

@chaosmoon I have a couple of times. I think maybe it's just taken a turn recently. So on my way to an other review. It's been fine since the weekend but best to check up just in case I get a bad flare up again.

ChaosMoon · 21/11/2018 15:19

Definitely, particularly if your reliever wasn't getting it properly under control. I hope they're helpful @MigMog.

Unicorn234 · 21/11/2018 16:55

Hey guys how crazy is it to think some of use are nearly hitting the half way mark! I'm 20 weeks next Tuesday which is crazy!
I remember first posting on here when I was like 5 weeks 🙊 time is going so quick! 💗💙

Melrose86 · 21/11/2018 17:43

I find the time is going so much quicker in the 2nd trimester. I'm 21 weeks already! Really starting to show now!x

Unicorn234 · 21/11/2018 20:51

Yeah I'm 19+1 and I'm already showing lol... feeling lots of movement aswell now 😊 can't wait for him to properly kick and Daddy can feel 😁💙

Anyat212 · 21/11/2018 23:04

Ah I’ve never seen this thread before! Been watching out for April 2019 too! I’m due on the 13th April with my first and find out on Friday if it’s a boy or girl Smile

How do people not find out? You have so much patience & I’m jealous. I feel like I’ve waited 20 years for this day! Although I can’t believe I’m almost half way through now..

Is anybody else having really achey cramps on a night? As soon as I’m in bed I get cramps in my lower stomach Sad luckily a hot water calms them down but they are uncomfortable!

Dmc2018 · 22/11/2018 11:03

First baby due April 23rd.
I was sick constantly during the first trimester and am having time off work because of it. Now I’m in my second trimester (18+2) and the anxiety has kicked in massively! I’m scared about everything and finding it really hard to sleep or even relax. Please tell me I’m not alone?!

CrystalBlaze · 22/11/2018 11:47

Not posted here in so long, how is everyone doing? I'm 17+4 today. Think I may have felt a few flutters in recent days but can't be sure.

Is anyone checking out any black Friday deals? Have been looking at prams and things but have no idea where to even start.

Buttons28 · 23/11/2018 12:35

@CrystalBlaze I'm also keeping an eye out for Black Friday deals but not spotted anything yet in the few chances I've had to look online. I'm kinda leaning towards an UppaBaby Vista pram with the hope that it will last two pregnancy's and loved it when we saw one in the shop but the price hasn't really moved from what I've seen today.

Have you spotted anything?

MigMog · 23/11/2018 12:47

@dmc2018 I think the surge of hormones tends to make anxiety and stress worse as well.

My biggest anxiety is that at next weeks scan something is wrong with baby. I'm so attached to it now.

Buttons28 · 23/11/2018 12:51

@Anyat212 happy gender reveal scan day! We are hoping to keep it a surprise but it's very difficult knowing you can find out. DH is of same opinion so that makes it easier. No cramping here to report of at night. Is it painful or just uncomfortable? Might be worth mentioning at your next appointment?

@Dmc2018 has the sickness eased now you are in the second trimester? Sounds like your anxiety is really bad. Is there anything in particular you are worried about? I found I was getting anxious between the 12 week and 16 week appointment but the moment the midwife said everything is fine and I heard the heartbeat I felt better. Since then I've started to develop a bit of a bump which is making it more real. I know I'm going to be nervous again just before the 20 week scan. When is your next appointment? It might be worth mentioning it then or speaking to someone before if it's really that bad?

I'm 18+5 and still patiently waiting to feel the fluttering of baby. Hope everyone is doing ok 🙂
