Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

@Blgb awww amazing 😊 we're literally 2 days apart as I'm due the 16th 🙊
Already booked my 16 week scan to find out what we are having.. so exciting 💙💗

clared55 · 14/10/2018 16:37

Hi all, hope you don't mind if I join this thread. It's my first pregnancy and I'm due on 12th April. Congrats to everyone and looking forward to chatting with you over the next few months!

51Sunflower · 14/10/2018 20:58

@purplestar9 any joy in changing your scan date? I had mine on Friday and it defo takes after dad as was stubborn and wouldn't get into a good pose without me jumping up and down @Lorrie3 glad your scan went well despite the change in dates Smile

Lorrie3 · 14/10/2018 21:53

Thanks @Sunflower51 nice too see all is well such a relief. Bit bummed going back in dates but it makes sense based on bfn tests before the strong bfp so just gonna have to suck it up

purplestar9 · 15/10/2018 07:49

@51Sunflower No, I called the hospital to see if they have any earlier appointments but they said they only do these scans on a Thursday morning and this week is full. I could phone another hospital to see if they can fit me in but it's half an hour away instead of 5 minutes so we decided just to wait! Week on Thursday ours is! How did yours go?

51Sunflower · 15/10/2018 08:39

@purplestar9 fair enough. It went well thanks. Took nearly an hour to get the baby in a good position but all seems well. Been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so no more treats for me. I'm not really surprised as my age and history are risk factors. Just bored with testing by blood sugars four times a day

purplestar9 · 15/10/2018 08:46

@51Sunflower I'm sorry to hear that. I bet that is a bit frustrating having to do that!

NothingisForgotten · 15/10/2018 15:19

Hi
I was due 21st, but scan last Wednesday puts me at 18th April

elpreggo27 · 15/10/2018 15:35

I'm due 20th march with my first so may tick over into April...

51Sunflower · 18/10/2018 13:13

@purplestar9 thanks. It is frustrating but if it means a healthy baby I'll cope. It means lots more scans of the little peanut so that's all good. Nausea is beginning to ease a little now. How is everybody else doing?

CrystalBlaze · 18/10/2018 15:04

Not been on here for a while - how is everyone?!

@Sunflower sorry to hear about the diabetes. Someone I know was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago too. What do you have to do apart from monitoring?

@purplestar9 my scan is a couple of days before yours. Will be 13+4 I think.

Anyone else showing? I don't look that much different in the morning but by the middle of the day I have a full on bump.

51Sunflower · 18/10/2018 16:11

Hi @CrystalBlaze glad you are well. I have had to change my diet quite a lot. No more sweet stuff and reduced carbs!

purplestar9 · 19/10/2018 07:42

@51Sunflower that's nice that you get more scans then, it'll be reassuring :)

@CrystalBlaze it just feels like we've been waiting forever doesn't it! Did you have an early scan or will this be your first? How have you been feeling?

I've been dealing quite bad bloating and trapped wind again recently which is pretty uncomfortable. But it seems to be easing now, I am starting to show a little, there's a definite little bump but no else has noticed because of the clothes I wear to work!

CrystalBlaze · 19/10/2018 21:16

It really does @purplestar! I've been mostly fine, haven't been sick once which I'm eternally grateful for!

How about you?

I've started to show in a massive way. Not in the morning but by the evening I've got a full on bump.

purplestar9 · 20/10/2018 07:37

@CrystalBlaze I am also extremely grateful for not being sick. I had a few weeks where I did feel sick when I got hungry or tired which was a lot. I couldn't deal with food so my DH was doing all the cooking and cleaning up after, I felt so bad but I'm pretty much back to normal in that sense now. I'm still very fussy with food though!
I definitely can't wear my normal jeans anymore, my friend has given me a pair of maternity jeans that don't fit her and to be fair, they're great! They're not huge so I'm probably going to start wearing them now!

CrystalBlaze · 23/10/2018 08:54

How is everyone? We finally have our scan this afternoon. So nervous and excited!

Buttons28 · 23/10/2018 13:03

@CrystalBlaze enjoy your scan appointment this afternoon. It's truly amazing to see the little baby in there. Let us know how you get on 🙂

TheMagicTorch · 23/10/2018 14:05

@CrystalBlaze Good luck for this afternoon, hope you enjoy it! I was delighted at ours to see the baby wriggling around and getting comfortable! Sonographer said they were very photogenic! (They probably say that to everyone!)

I'm definitely showing now too, I'm slightly overweight anyway, but when I breathe in there's definitely a bump that doesn't go away when I'm sucking in! 15 weeks today, I rejoined slimming world this weekend now that my sickness has subsided. Need to get my healthy eating back on track, not too fussed about the numbers going down on the scales just need a bit of control!

@Unicorn234 My new due date is 16th too!

MigMog · 23/10/2018 17:20

Oh @themagictorch you are a day behind, I'm April 15.

With you on the bump front. It's appearing and is pretty hard now too. Plus I cant get the roll of fat we all have and squish it anymore.

My other hint is my tights just roll on down below the bump now.

I discovered how totally rubbish the high street stores are for maternity wear this week.

CrystalBlaze · 23/10/2018 18:16

It was so amazing!! Everything looks good and healthy. It moved so much too.

Unicorn234 · 23/10/2018 19:00

@TheMagicTorch awww amazing 😊 I've got my scan a week today to find out what we are having 💙💗 just couldn't wait till the 20 week scan, I'm so impatient 😂 xx

purplestar9 · 24/10/2018 08:01

@CrystalBlaze I'm so glad it went well for you! Mines tomorrow, I'm probably the last one in the group to be having the 12 week scan! I'll be 13+2 tomorrow so hope my dates aren't too far out!

51Sunflower · 24/10/2018 09:16

@CrystalBlaze so glad it went well. It's all so exciting once you see the baby moving and jumping around isn't it?

CrystalBlaze · 24/10/2018 20:21

Good luck @purplestar! Let us know how it goes! It was so amazing @Sunflower, had no idea how much moving about they do!

elpreggo27 · 24/10/2018 20:57

I'm due 20th march but it's my first and could well tip into April...
