First babies due in April

Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

donna474 Me too I've been drinking hot water with lemon and honey, and using Vicks Vaporub - on my chest and mixed into some hot water in my bedroom/when I'm in the bath.

just got my letter through with my 20 week scan date!!!! aaaaah i’m so excited i can’t wait to see them again and hopefully find out if they’re a boy or a girl!! ill be counting down the days until november 12th now😍

@jellybeann that's so exciting! I'm still waiting for my appointment for the 12 week scan! I'm behind most people in this group because my estimated due date is currently 30th April! I can't wait for the scan though, as much as I know I'm pregnant, I kinda of just want that reassurance and to make sure everything is okay!

@purplestar9 I'm right there with you. Due date 29th April. Got my 12 week scan next Friday. I can't wait for the reassurance that it will bring

51Sunflower and purplestar9 with you too due date 30th and 12 week and 1st scan on friday coming. Like you both as much as I know there is supposed to be a little bean in there i really need to see it confirmed!

I've been worried about my dates. When I did my pregnancy test the clear blue one did show up 3+ weeks which fitted in with with my chart, that would make me 11 weeks currently. I know these tests aren't always accurate so I was thinking the latest I could be currently is 9 weeks if i caught later, which again I had tracked on my chart. Now we weren't going crazy trying so it could only have been these two dates ( I was waiting for my period to start after coming off the pill to start trying properly). Anyway I'm booked in for my 12 week scan on the 22nd October (feels like a lifetime away) and I think I'm cutting it close to being too late for the tests they do as I potentially could be 14 weeks plus by that point and I read they can't do one of the screenings after 13+6??

Well I caved in this morning as this date uncertainty has really been playing on my mind and I booked a private scan for this afternoon. I'm so glad I did! It was amazing to see the little bean jumping around inside, we even got a wave! The lady has dated me at 11+4. Do you think I should try and get my scan moved to the week before so I defo know all the tests can be completed?

@Buttons28 I'd contact the midwife unit and let them know. I had private scan at what I thought was 7 weeks and ended up being 6 days ahead. When I went to booking in they took the date from the scan as a baseline to ensure my scan would be within the right time frame. Let them know and they may adjust it for you

Just a little heads up for anyone that may be interested. Mothercare have the closer to nature set on offer at £64.99 And would usually be £159.99 so a very big saving!

@51Sunflower I've just phoned the hospital because I still haven't had a date through and my appointment is 25th October which will make me 13+2. Feels like an age away! Most people already know but there's others that we are waiting to tell till after the scan and it feels like it's getting further and further away!

@purplestar9 can they not give you anything closer? I would call them back. My first date that came through was for the middle of November!! I phoned them and they were able to bring it forward. Fingers crossed for you.

Had our scan yesterday and we are over the moon. Baby is absolutely fine so can finally relax a little bit and properly enjoy it now! Hope everyone gets their scans soon :) due 18th April anyone else due then?

@51Sunflower yeah, I'm thinking I might phone them again tomorrow and see if it can be brought forward. Wow, that would have been a bit late wouldn't it!

It's been discussed here before but im freaking out ive had a very small amount of pinkish blood the last 3 hours not nearly enough to fill a pad.... no cramping im 11+3 Have 12 week scan on Friday? Would i be right in saying it's normal and if it was a mc of know about it???

@lorrie3 I'm probably not much use, I've not bled. But I've read so much about people having similar and it being fine. You could ring the hospital just go check with them.

I've had success with moving my appointment forward, it's now on Friday! Nervous and excited now

@Buttons28 im all good i think thanks atill very nervous but it really was only one very light episode over 2 hours its all ive had all pregnancy. I've my 12 weeks scan and apt at the hospital on friday so I haven't contacted them

Hey everyone finally had my scan today after what feels like forever. Took ages to get the little bubba to get in the right position! But all looks good!

Hey ladies had my scan today all was good little bean with heartbeat but my dates werr off so actually only 9 weeks not 11+4 but all was good. I'm gonna pop over to the may thread but ill keep an eye here too!!

Had my scan today also. Everything looked good and it was a very active little baby. It kept jumping round, so amazing to see. Due date is 21st April which is Easter Sunday. Really looking forward to start telling our news to people now that we are through the first scan
