Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

Sorry you’re feeling so bad Chivari, I’m feeling horrendous but I’m fine with liquids. I bought some fruit pastilles this morning and they’ve helped, I just feel so tired and have zero energy to even put the tv on.
I’ve got work I need to do from home and 2 weeks worth of ironing :( just doing have the energy to do anything.
Plus I’m phone watching waiting for the EPU to call with my appointment....

NewSparkle · 11/09/2018 12:56

Hi @llondbol, been spotting the last week, have had 2 scans & all seems ok but have been told to only come back if bleedings heavy or I’m in pain. Thankfully I’m neither at the minute but incredibly anxious. Advised no intercourse & no heavy lifting. But all I can do is sit and wait. Still exhausted & nauseous so taking these as good signs. Fingers crossed.

Chivari · 11/09/2018 13:17

Hi @Mariposa123 and @SheRaTheAllPowerful make sure you see the GP if it gets really bad. Being dehydrated can increase the chance of miscarriage. I also wouldn't worry about doing any house chores, they can wait! I'm hoping to go back to work tomorrow but not looking forward to it. Don't know how long I'll last...

Unicorn234 · 11/09/2018 15:42

Got my scan through for my 12 week scan 😁😁 so excited xx

FSlater · 12/09/2018 12:51

Had an early scan last Friday! Put me at 7 weeks 1 day so my new due date is 25th April 🎉. Have had AWFUL nausea and sore boobs but that has just gone overnight. Trying not to worry!
Also - has anyone else not had the urgent need to wee that everyone talks about? I haven’t at all!

@FSlater touch wood I haven't had that either!
I get the sudden urge every now and again for a number 2 😧 and have to run but no extra urges to pee!

Chivari · 12/09/2018 13:55

Lovely scan photo @FSlater 😀😀

On a different more negative subject, why do people feel the need to ask if you are pregnant?? Having been off sick for a few days due to hyperemesis, one of my colleagues asked me if I was pregnant 🤦🏽‍♀️ I def wouldn't tell them anyway, but why ask when I haven't said a thing? Planning on keeping it a secret from work until at least 15/16 weeks if I can. I just think people have no courtesy sometimes. For all they know I could have been having fertility problems.... 😤 anyway, rant over

Emilyvalentine24 · 12/09/2018 14:00

My work management already know as been really poorly with morning sickness and my colleagues guessed and I couldn’t help but smile it’s so hard x

Chivari · 12/09/2018 14:38

I have a senior role with quite a big team under me and don't feel ready to share yet. I may need to tell my manager soon though if the HG gets worse. We will see!

Emilyvalentine24 · 12/09/2018 15:08

My team very small work in small nursery and we all very close x

dellabrew · 13/09/2018 08:05

I've had to announce it to everyone, just been so ill and had to cancel doing anything socially, I would rather tell people and it be a surprise rather than they have already all guessed! Feeling so awful atm - went to hospital on Tuesday night as was in loads of pain, but thankfully everything is fine, and I got an early scan into the bargain! The doctor thought I had probably pulled a muscle from being sick or something - nothing to worry about anyway. Only thing I am a bit gutted about is she said the baby is measuring too small to be as far on as I thought (according to my dates I am 10+4) but she says I am only 9+5 - I know they often tell you a different date but that is almost a week different, just seems a lot? Did anyone else get told this at an early scan?

dellabrew · 13/09/2018 08:07

Oh and here is the little alien :)

@dellabrew
This happened to me I went for a private scan at 7 weeks and they put me back to 6 weeks. Anyway I've been feeling so anxious so I went for another private scan yesterday and I had caught up by 4 days so only 3 days behind now 😁 the man who did the scan yesterday was so hopeful and said it will change again by 12 weeks and it's not really accurate until then. So I am 8 weeks 4 days today instead of being 9 weeks Smile

dellabrew · 13/09/2018 09:35

thats good to know! She did say it could change by 12 weeks so fingers crossed! I know its not exact or anything anyway but didnt really love the thought of another week lol!

51Sunflower · 13/09/2018 12:24

Lovely scan photos ladies. I thought I was ticking along ok but the nausea has turned into vomiting! Not so great when you are doing presentations 😜
Fingers crossed it's all good though. Had my scan yesterday 7w2d. Was so great to see the little heart beating ❤️❤️

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 13/09/2018 13:26

My scan went well, I forgot to ask for a picture as they didn’t offer one at EPU but all was ok, only one in there and a healthy heartbeat. She said my dates looked correct.
Any older mums considering a panorama or harmony test?

unicornxo · 13/09/2018 14:23

@SheRaTheAllPowerful glad it went ok. I think we are on the same dates now 😁

Llondbol · 13/09/2018 14:35

Loving the scan pics 😍

Had a missed miscarriage in January so we've opted for an early private scan... Saturday morning at 8+2 the anxiety is building now!! But glad we went for it as well have clarity on how our little raspberry is getting on.

Bless you @NewSparkle it must be such a worry but it sounds positive that all is ok. Keep us posted on how you're getting on x

donna474 · 13/09/2018 17:10

Anyone else struggling with brushing their teeth in the morning? I'm finding as soon as I start brushing I'm instantly gagging and then end up dry heaving over the toilet and sometimes being sick
@FSlater my urge to wee has certainly dissipated recently, at one point I was at the toilet all the time

I've been feeling a lot brighter these last few days. Still plenty symptoms but I just don't feel as groggy or tired. I actually had the energy to do some tidying and sorting st home. I'm nearing 10weeks this weekend, so hoping it's a nice turning point on the run up to our scan.

lovelyhealthymama · 14/09/2018 03:25

Hi
I'm 8 weeks pregnant and due on 21st April (at the moment). First pregnancy after TTC for a while do feeling pretty nervous but very happy. Struggling with tiredness though especially working 12.5hr shifts

starrrgazer · 14/09/2018 06:24

Any tips for managing anxiety regrading missed miscarriage? I'm working in a maternity hospital at the moment and know the exposure to more problematic pregnancies isn't helpful or representative of my likelihood but I still am finding it very hard to relax! I have a scan on Wednesday but finding the time passing so slowly!

Chivari · 14/09/2018 06:35

Welcome @lovelyhealthymama we have the same due date! Although having an early scan tomorrow so this could change....

51Sunflower · 14/09/2018 12:49

@starrrgazer I have been really struggling too and have turned to mindfulness to help keep me grounded and not so anxious especially at bed time. I listen to a relaxation app in bed. At first I just got annoyed with it but it does help if you persevere. Fingers crossed for you Smile

beaa2712 · 14/09/2018 12:50

Had my scan come through so very excited now!
