Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

I think you are supposed to be but I can’t remember really, they def take blood & urine.

Mariposa123 · 06/09/2018 11:27

I had a pre booking in appt with the GP when I was 6 weeks, and I was weighed then. I've got my first midwife appt next week.

I'm finding trousers are definitely starting to get harder to zip up!

Chivari · 06/09/2018 17:55

Good afternoon ladies. Just wondering, has anyone bought maternity clothes yet? If not, when are you planning to?

I haven't bought any yet as I don't want to jinx it! But has seen some lovely things....

CrystalBlaze · 06/09/2018 19:15

Evening everyone. How are we all feeling?

Know what you mean @TheMagicTorch on feeling massive. My eating is totally off kilter now. I am either ravenous for specific things (usually either toast or cereal or some really bad burger) or I don't want anything at all.

Got low level nausea now too but not like I'm going to be sick, more indigestiony.

I haven't bought anything yet @Chivari but have been looking! Thinking I will definitely need a new coat.

Unicornandbows · 06/09/2018 19:20

Hi just joining team April found out via scan I am 6w+6 today. I have HG and suckssss

Chivari · 06/09/2018 19:25

Welcome @Unicornandbows 😀 sorry about your HG! Sounds awful. Sending hugs

I have been looking at next maternity range @CrystalBlaze and it's lovely! Agree and think I will also need a new coat that will do up over the bump. Feeling a lot better today on the nausea front. Woke up feeling sick and a bit retchy but since about 3pm I have been feeling almost normal which is a really nice change.

Got my first midwife appt next Thursday and have just booked myself a mini spa day and massage afterwards. Can't wait. Although just discovered I can't use the sauna or steam room! 😕

Unicornandbows · 06/09/2018 19:39

Thanks am just taking each day as it comes am so exhausted!!

Spa day sounds so lovely I am excited for you lol 😂

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 06/09/2018 20:51

Chivari sounds fabulous but from memory I think they’ll only let you have a massage if you sign a disclaimer and I think there are only certain weeks it’s recomemded :(

TheMagicTorch · 06/09/2018 20:53

@Chivari I've bought a couple of bundles on eBay for a bargain but not wearing them just yet 😊

Jellyfishgal89 · 06/09/2018 20:54

I'm due 9th April! Congratulations all xx

unicornxo · 06/09/2018 20:54

I got in from work at about 5pm and went straight to bed and I've only just surfaced. I feel so drained and so sick!! I'm not complaining though cause just keep thinking it's a good sign I hope 🤞😴

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 06/09/2018 20:55

Your blood volume doubles in pregnancy so they need to have done specialist training, there is something about not touching feet as it can bring on labour and they don’t do in the 1st trimester due to increased risk of miscarriage (I think that is generally but obviously they don’t want to have a connection to that) sorry :(

Chivari · 06/09/2018 21:33

Thanks for the massage advice ladies! I will give them a call tomorrow to question it. I know they do a pregnancy massage so may have to swap to that!

Unicornandbows · 07/09/2018 14:00

Hey how is everyone doing... I just want to give up can't deal with being sick every half an hour I am so drained just want it to end now. My mood is low today and can't help feeling useless hope you are all having a better day than I am.

Mariposa123 · 07/09/2018 14:20

@Unicornsandbows poor you, that sounds miserable. Are you at work?

I haven't been sick yet but if I don't eat every hour I feel awful. Today today I can't stomach anything.

On the plus side, tomorrow's the weekend!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 07/09/2018 14:25

Unicorn sending you big hugs I think there is a HG support thread on mumsnet, you will get through this, is your doctor supportive, you might need to be admitted and put on a drip if it is effecting you so badly :(

Stay with us too x but it might help to chat with other people in the same boat. I’ve had to put a sick bowl in the car as I’m feeling so rubbish in the mornings, I’ve had so much to do today and not done anything!

Unicornandbows · 07/09/2018 14:57

Thank you ladies. I went to the hospital to have anti sickness Injections but since then it's just back to how I felt sick I've even increased my dose of tablets still to no avail. I am going to book another doctors appointment as I can not live like this. I have been at home all week I can't physically get myself to go anywhere my body is exhausted and my upper stomach pains from retching bile.

How do people find pregnancy enjoyable I feel I've been missold the joys of pregnancy anyone have a customer service line I can complain to lol 😂

dellabrew · 07/09/2018 15:19

You poor thing @Unicornandbows , I've been badly sick but its not HG and every time I think how on earth do these women that get HG manage...seriously take my hat off to you :) and dont be afraid to call an ambulance, it can be so dangerous if you get too dehydrated etc :(

Dont know about anyone else but I REALLY cant wait for this first trimester to be over!!!! Everyone keeps telling me it gets easier in the second...I really hope so!!!

Chivari · 07/09/2018 18:23

Been sick twice today 😫 first thing this morning and then this evening when I got back from work. No where near HG though, so sending big hugs and love to you @Unicornandbows. Take care of yourself!

purplestar9 · 07/09/2018 20:12

I'm sorry @Chivari I hope the sickness is short lived! How are you feeling now?

We told my brother and sister in law this evening. What a reaction!! The best reaction yet! And that is from my protective big bro! They have 3 DC themselves and they were so excited for us!

Just thought I'd share some positive news! 😃

Chivari · 07/09/2018 20:18

Hi @purplestar9 I'm feeling ok. Off to bed now! Basically fell asleep as soon as I got on the sofa.

Awww that's such lovely news! 😀😀

CrystalBlaze · 08/09/2018 08:25

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is okay. So sorry for your struggle @Unicorns and your sickness too @Chivari!

In lovelt glam news my gums have started bleeding every time I brush my teeth and I am still the most exhausted person that has ever existed. Had a horrible day at work yesterday too so planning to spend today lazing about.

How are you doing @purplestar? Any sign of more symptoms?

CrystalBlaze · 08/09/2018 08:26

Oh and forgot to say - that sounds like such a lovely reaction from your brother! Smile
