Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

@Chivari I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning. Weighed the other day and I'd actually lost some weight but the last two days I've felt flabby. Will see what scales say tomorrow

I'm feeling tired but not as much as I thought I would after having last week off work, thought it was gonna hit me hard this week!
I haven't weighed myself since last week, not sure if I dare to be honest! I do feel like I'm eating more often but maybe not actually quite as much, I'm not liking big meals, just smaller snacks

unicornxo · 05/09/2018 08:20

@purplestar9 I had last week off work too and I thought I would be so tired this week but so far I don't feel to bad. Although I do feel more tired each day 😂

Has anyone got any early scans coming up? I love hearing about them they are so exciting.

purplestar9 · 05/09/2018 08:57

@unicornxo I am getting increasingly tired too. Although it's so frustrating that I go to bed because I'm knackered and then can't sleep. It's still only normal time too so it's not even like I'm going to bed early.

CrystalBlaze · 05/09/2018 10:36

I must have put on loads of weight already. Can't stop eating! Feel you on being knackered and not being able to sleep well @purplestar. It's a killer isn't it 😴

Mariposa123 · 05/09/2018 10:42

I"m first time, due April 18. I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow, and morning sickness kicked in last night Angry I've been getting some cramping too so hoping that's just normal!

Chivari · 05/09/2018 12:14

@unicornxo yes we have one next Saturday 😀😀 it will be at 8+6. Can't wait!

Sorry about your morning sickness @Mariposa123 😕 it sucks, I know. My advice is just don't let yourself get hungry. Eat every hour or 2, like a little snack of some kind. Also, make sure you get lots of sleep as being tired makes it so much worse.

Chivari · 05/09/2018 12:17

Also, earlier, I swear I felt a little butterfly flutter in my tummy! Maybe wind or maybe baby)? I am 7+3

MigMog · 05/09/2018 12:32

@CrystalBlaze with you on the tired but can't sleep. It's like insomnia. I think our bodies must just be in overdrive.

@Mariaposa I've had similar cramping. Yesterday. These painful niggles. No pattern to them. All on the same side. Gone today. I'm putting mine down to ligaments and muscles I think. I've had such a bad hip on that side.

Mariposa123 · 05/09/2018 12:50

@Chivari thanks for the tip, I've been eating dry crackers and cheese all morning! I woke up in the night feeling awful though so tired today. Hope that doesn't become a thing!

@MigMog Yes, mine are always on the left side. They come and go, but no bleeding so I'm not getting worried yet. I don't see the midwife until next Friday, so I'll have to lurk around here for reassurance Smile

purplestar9 · 05/09/2018 13:20

@CrystalBlaze I feel like that too. Eating to stop any sickness feelings. But I'd much prefer that than feeling sick!
Horrid isn't it, I just want to sleep! DH came up to bed about an hour after me last night then after half an hour complained he had to change position to sleep now cause he can't sleep ... After an hour and a half of me trying to sleep I just wanted to push him out of bed!! Haha.

LittleDoveMum · 05/09/2018 13:24

Hello, yep I'm due in April and is my first. I'm 8+2 . Feeling very queasy all day and knackered but it's reassuring I suppose! Not used to feeling groggy in used to bouncing about all over the place.
Also I'm eating loads more than usual to stop me feeling sick Blush

Llondbol · 05/09/2018 17:43

I'm 6+6 today and have been on constant "knicker watch" after my missed miscarriage in January.

Today I've had the most minuscule amount of brown discharge and now I've got into anxiety overdrive 😭 Anyone else experienced this?

In January it all started with the tiniest amount of pale pink discharge at 5+3 so trying to take comfort in the fact it's old-blood colour, but it's really unnerved me today 😭

NewSparkle · 05/09/2018 19:27

Hi everyone, was still slightly bleeding Monday morn so my GP sent me for a scan. Everything is fine thank goodness, ended up with three internal exams which were actually fine almost glad to have that over me. Heard the little heartbeat too which was a wow moment. Hope everyone’s well x

donna474 · 05/09/2018 19:55

@unicornxo I've got my early scan on Saturday. Feeling apprehensive as could obviously go either way but not had any concerns that pregnancy isn't progressing as should be so fingers crossed all is ok.
My weight isn't changing much, I'm going up and down a pound or two like I normally do but certainly feeling bigger. I'm snacking more but not big meals so probably not eating a massive amount. Trying to track my calories to stay at this trimesters suggested calorie intake, I'm under eating otherwise.
@Llondbol I've not experienced that myself but can empathise the worry, I guess there may be reassurance in that others have had old blood bleeds and all been ok.

I had an early scan last Friday and I thought I’d share it with you all. My partner was with me and the woman doing the scan kept saying she was sorry it wasn’t very clear but didn’t explain why. Afterwards I looked at my scan report and it explained that I had gases blocking the view 😂😂😂😂

vicki6356 · 05/09/2018 20:08

Other than that tho she picked up the heartbeat straight aaay and my dates I worked out matched perfect so I’m all pleased with that ☺️

LittleDoveMum · 05/09/2018 20:28

I agree on feeling bigger, I've only put on half a pound but I really feel like I've put on a stone! My stomach is so bloated just feel massive. I'm sure all the extra food will be catching up soon if I don't curb what I'm eating to counteract the sickness soon!

TheMagicTorch · 05/09/2018 20:32

@vicki6356 oh bless you! I had the exact same thing! But the woman said to me: oh I can tell your nervous I can see all the gas. And she said it wasn't a clear picture because my bowels were in the way 😂😳 my poor DP having to hear that!
She said straight away though she could see the heartbeat.
She offered me an internal which I agreed to and was much clearer!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 05/09/2018 20:32

Vicki that’s hilarious!

Llondbol · 06/09/2018 05:29

Glad your scan went well @NewSparkle xx

Mariposa123 · 06/09/2018 09:31

I weighed myself this morning and I've put on near 2kg in a week. Is that normal at 8 weeks, or am I going to have to watch how much I'm eating when I have my hourly snacks? Blush

Chivari · 06/09/2018 11:10

@Mariposa123 not sure if it's normal but I am the same!! 2kg as well 🙈🙈

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 06/09/2018 11:14

Yes me too, imagine it’s all the carbs I’m eating :( oh well.
I want to ask at my booking in appointment if they have my weight from my last pregnancy 9 years ago now!

TheMagicTorch · 06/09/2018 11:15

I haven't dared weigh myself yet 🙈 I feel 'flabby' and awful, but I was slightly overweight with a big chest anyway! I feel like I've been eating less but more often because of the nausea so no idea what the effect has been. My clothes still fit for now until the evening bloat 😂

Will I get weighed at my booking in appointment? Have that on Tuesday so might just wait til then!
