Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

Have you ladies put on weight yet? I went on the scales and have put on about 1.5kg! 🙈 I think it's mainly boob growth and water retention. Work trousers are getting tighter by the day but resisting mat clothes just yet

CrystalBlaze · 23/08/2018 22:20

Yes @Chivari! Got on the scales yesterday and nearly had a heart attack!

TheMagicTorch · 23/08/2018 22:37

@MigMog I've been woken up twice so far during the night with stomach pain- I was panicking thinking it was something bad but everything seems okay still.

@donna474 sums it up perfectly, between my boobs and the bloating in expanding much quicker than I expected! I can't wait to have my scan and tell people so I can just embrace it !

My work jeans are getting tighter by the day 😂

donna474 · 24/08/2018 08:51

@Chivari I seem to be fluctuating up and down about 2lbs, 2-4lbs gain a month is what's expected during the first trimester apparently.

That's good then @donna474 I actually feel less heavy today, but maybe it's because I have a comfy skirt on which isn't digging in to my bloated stomach! Still no morning sickness - 6wk Sunday

dellabrew · 24/08/2018 12:07

I am losing weight like crazy...not too surprising this morning it felt like I puked up my organs it was so awful :( hate it so much spending the rest of the day in bed thankfully but i keep having to run to the loo and puke up the ginger cordial I just drank....:( Sorry to moan....its just been a crap week!!!! Really really hope that the sickness goes once we get to the second trimester xxx

CrystalBlaze · 24/08/2018 12:15

How far along are you @della? So sorry you're feeling so crap. Have you had sickness all the way through?

donna474 · 24/08/2018 13:28

I've been feeling nauseous today, just went to meet my SO for lunch in town and ended up having two bags of ready salted hula hoops and an Orangina as it was all I could handle.

TheMagicTorch · 24/08/2018 13:47

I feel the same today @donna474 😣 Really fancied a tuna toastie for lunch, ate it but just feel queasy now. I sort of think I'd feel a bit better if I was throwing up but the constant queasiness is so annoying.

Hope you feel better soon.

@dellabrew Bless sorry to hear you've been feeling so crap 😣

Lisaloo15 · 24/08/2018 13:58

I'm now 5+2 and embracing very much the fact that I'm not puking yet, after the last HG pregnancy! Although I'm VERY aware that it could hit at any time, last time I was hospitalised by week 7! I've been feeling sick but not like I'm physically going to be sick yet. So tired, especially come 5/6pm ish and into evening! I was showing a horse yesterday at Blair and I wore two bras, a normal with a sports bra over the top! My boobs are just so big and sore and it was the only way I could think of to get them not to jiggle when I ran lol, pleased to say it worked! I'm sure I'm expanding round my tummy too already, my kilt was out a hole from usual 🙈 Does anyone else wish their booking in appointment would just hurry up!!!! I'm so impatient lol

Chivari · 24/08/2018 14:04

Thinking a bit of sickness has started today 😫 for about an hour I have felt dizzy and a bit of a sicky feeling....

donna474 · 24/08/2018 14:09

@TheMagicTorch I'm now cooking a culinary delight of oven chips. Think potato based products will be my saving grace!

Awww man yes on the booking in appointment!!! one more week...time has just gone SO slowly since I found out lol :) I'm 7+4 @CrystalBlaze - going to announce it this weekend as I think my disappearance from literally everything in the last few weeks may be a big hint to people anyway!!! Ive only had sickness the last couple of weeks, week 4 and most of 5 I was completely fine ....then 6 came and oh boy it really hit...! Hardly been able to eat anything - weirdly, ready salted hula hoops are about the only thing I can stomach...which is odd coz I dont normally like them!!! I still cant believe how something SO tiny can make such massive differences to you even so early on!

donna474 · 24/08/2018 14:31

Anyone else cold all the time? Usually I'm the type of person who is always hot but I just can't seem to warm up properly at the moment.

MigMog · 24/08/2018 15:15

Got such an uncomfortable swollen gland appear under an arm pit today. Anyone had anything similar? I'm sure its just immune system going mad.

Gupster · 24/08/2018 20:11

Good evening ladies, in the nicest way I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling queasy ALL the time, since the beginning of week 5 I've been feeling it a d in the last couple of days I've started vomiting, I'm tired all the time, the bloating is awful by the end off the day and since yesterday I've been cranky (can you tell) lol. On the plus side only another week until my booking in appointment and hopefully things will start happening and we can start feeling like it's real. How are you all getting through these early days when you feel so crap but you can't talk about it because no one knows 🙈

MigMog · 24/08/2018 20:23

@gupster tricky isn't it. My closest at work know, but I know others will have realised I've not been myself. Today I didn't really want to talk to anyone. My fam know too, little sis pops in a few weeks and bigger sis has a toddler. So they have been useful.

donna474 · 24/08/2018 20:31

@Gupster I'm 5+2 today and nausea has hit today. My day has consisted of toast, ready salted hula hoops, chips, and a chip butty to finish me off. All sandwiched in between snuggling under a blanket feeling blah.

Hi ladies. Can I join you? I'm a bit nervous to as I had a missed miscarriage in March with my first pregnancy.

I'm 39, live in shropshire and have known I'm pregnant for just over a week - I'm 5+1 today. So hoping this little one is healthy and grows the way they should after the last experience. I'm really happy but anxious just in case the worst happens again.

Symptoms wise, I'm knackered, belly feels strange (bubbly/pully/occasional crampy sensation), boobs grown and tender, and weeing more often, especially at night and then I struggle to go back to sleep.

My first scan will be on 19th sept - just hoping with everything I have it all goes ok.

Aslan35 · 24/08/2018 21:18

Hey! I’m currently 8 weeks today so due in 5 April!! Very nervous. I’m 35 and this is my first. I’m petite build and size 8 already started to show, it’s not a bump just bloating!!! No real problematic sympatoms just tired and boobs sooooo sore! X

Nicbos89 · 24/08/2018 21:35

Evening all
Is anyone experiencing pain in their ribs? Tonight that they are really sore...been reading up and seems to be a normal symptom of early pregnancy...but seems like everything can be a symptom Confused

jellybeann · 24/08/2018 21:55

I’m 8+3 today and have been experiencing pretty bad back pain. It’s quite sharp and takes my breath away a little, but it’s not in my lower back - it’s about where my bra strap is. Anyone else had/heard of anything like this?

Feeling nervous today as tomorrow I’m going to tell my parents - I know they’re going to be super supportive and excited eventually but I’m only 20 and this baby is very unexpected as I was on the pill when I became pregnant, so I’m a bit worried about their initial reaction!

Melrose86 · 24/08/2018 22:10

Hi everyone. Does anyone else feel like it is taking forever to get to the first scan date? And I'm having to wait til I'm 13+5 for mine because I am on holiday on the original date they gave me x

Aslan35 · 24/08/2018 22:19

Hey Melrose! Yes I’m also having to wait until about 11 weeks. I’m really nervous as I’ve never had a blood test at 35 not sure how I’ve got away with that one!! I’m assuming our scans will be very shortly after that x

Melrose86 · 24/08/2018 22:31

I had my booking in appointment last week where i got blood tests. That was when i was 7+4 so a 6 week wait between that and my scan
