@para I get the dizzy spells at times too. I think it is low blood sugar with me, although I generally also have low blood pressure. Drinking water and eating salty things helps and baking sure you don’t stand up too quickly! If you do feel dizzy, do sit down and rest a bit, once I fell down stairs because I tried to ignore it.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 08:54

@peachesarenom, pleased it’s stopped. A little bit of blood looks like loads, especially when you’re panicking. All the best for tomorrow. How far on are you?

peachesarenom · 21/05/2018 08:56

I'm 9+3. Honestly I'm devestated. I'm gonna try and get a private scan.

Anxiousfeelings · 21/05/2018 09:02

@peaches sorry to hear about this. All the best for tomorrow or getting a private scan

zaalitje · 21/05/2018 09:10

peaches hold out for epu tomorrow, private scan places rarely diagnose and you'll just end up waiting on epu anyway.

My first mmc was picked up at a private "early reassurance scan" at 8 weeks, they told me I must have dates wrong (by 3 weeks from their measurements - impossible as I'd been testing positive for that long), I just got ushered out the door. I worked out about self refer ing to EPU :for myself.

If it is bad news at least EPU have the facilities to be able to help.

The fact bleeding has stopped sounds promising, my SC bleed bled for a few hours and stopped. I'll keep my fingers crossed it's the same for you.

BloominMoomin89 · 21/05/2018 11:32

Around where i live i can access 2 different equally distant epus, are you tied to that one.?

mummyjl15 · 21/05/2018 14:08

Sorry to hear this @peachesarenom How do you feel? I know some bleeding is completely normal and if you still have your pregnancy symptoms that’s a really good sign too :)
Fingers crossed for that heartbeat tomorrow!

mummyjl15 · 21/05/2018 14:11

I had my 3rd reassurance scan today and I’m so relived baby is growing well and moving around so much now! Got my booking appointment on Thursday which I’m dreading as I always have problems with blood tests and no one can seem to do it! I always get multiple nurses trying before anyone’s able to actually find a vein! 😱

Paranormalbouquet · 21/05/2018 14:44

@mummyjl15 I took my own bloods at booking appointment. I can get blood from anyone (and have terrible veins)! How many weeks are you now? Im 9 weeks and have my next scan next Thursday at someplace between 10+3 and 10+5 before the harmony test.

peachesarenom · 21/05/2018 15:08

Hi everyone, thanks for your support! Baby is fine. They don't know why I was bleeding though.

Great news peaches.
Keep your EPU appt for tomorrow, they'll have a proper look for Subchorionic bleed, if it was a SC bleed, be aware you may get some more blood.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 21/05/2018 17:03

Great news peaches, but sorry you've had such a horrible worrying day.

Pleased to hear that he's turned enough that they're no longer keeping you in hospital zaa - and that you've got your C-section date. Only a few more days of this pregnancy worry for you to get through.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 17:55

@peachesarenom this has made my day! So pleased you and baby are fine! Thank goodness!

peachesarenom · 21/05/2018 18:06

Thank you all.

I also had my booking in appt today so I popped into epu, they said they often can't locate the bleed so cancelled by appt for tomoz

Paranormalbouquet · 21/05/2018 18:18

Peaches delighted all was well. I’ve had bleeding on and off this time with subchorionic haematoma. It’s scary every time.

Glad I got baby on board badge for tube now. Tube is hot and I’ve been so dizzy. Just need to remember to take it off getting going to work!

Flatwhite32 · 21/05/2018 19:08

@peachesarenom so glad all is ok. What a worry!

peachesarenom · 21/05/2018 19:56

I hope there will be no more bleeds!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 21:21

I’ve just had a bleed, pink with a small red clot in it - exactly how my last M/C started. Have had sore boobs and have been nauseous all day, still have the nausea (although that could just be anxiety) but sore boobs have gone and im starting to get back ache.

peachesarenom · 21/05/2018 21:27

I'm sorry Iswallowtoothpaste call epu asap. It may be nothing.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 22:03

I’ve called them, told them about the one sided pain I’ve been having over the past couple of days and still they need a doctor’s referral to see me for a scan (which I’ve asked the doctors to do TWICE now)

This pregnancy has been such a rollercoaster already and just thought we were beginning to turn a corner, just starting to enjoy it and yet again hopes are dashed. Still clinging on to the hope that this bleeding might be nothing but I’ve got a gut feeling now and I can’t shake it. My symptoms have gone this evening (although I’ve been having them in full force all day, WTF!?)

I know that nothing can stop a M/C, if it’s going to happen then it’s going to happen but I can’t stand this uncertainty and getting my hopes up and then bleeding and ring devastated and panicking all over again. At least if I knew the worst, I’d be able to move on and it’d be closure. I don’t want to pay for an early scan as I’m not sure that they’ll be trained in what to do if they baby has passed, would much rather an NHS one where they can look for any problems too.

whyhastherumgone · 21/05/2018 22:11

@iswallowtoothpaste just wanted to say I hope everything is OK. How upsetting for you that you need the doctor referral for the EPU to scan you :( It's so frustrating how care differs from region to region.
Will be keeping everything crossed for you x

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 22:16

@whyhastherumgone I’m thinking of you. Hope you’re as well as you can be - I’m sorry for ranting, I know you’ve had an extremely upsetting couple of days x

I know, it’s a nightmare, we live near Whitby in North Yorkshire and they’re building more and more houses but shutting down all of the outpatient services in the local hospital. It’s such a shame and makes no sense at all. We have Scarborough hospital in one direction and James Cook hospital in the other - both of which require a doctor’s referral unless you’ve had a previous ectopic.

whyhastherumgone · 21/05/2018 22:19

@iswallowtoothpaste oh don't you worry about me, I'm okay and rant away - it's so so upsetting when you're in limbo. I feel much better now that I actually know, can draw a line under it even though it's gutting.

That sounds mad, and so stressful for you. I really hope your doctor takes you seriously - are you going to try and talk to them tomorrow? Is there an A&E you can go to (nightmare I know, I avoid it like the plague if I can help it) if you get desperate? xx

whyhastherumgone · 21/05/2018 22:19

thank you for thinking of me though, I didn't mean to come across as rude! Read that back and thought it sounded off! :D

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 22:23

@whyhastherumgone not rude at all! That’s exactly how I feel! I’d be much better if I actually knew what was happening, it’s the awful limbo that’s just the worst.

The nearest A&E that’s actually open at this time of night would be Scarborough. However got DD fast asleep in bed and pain has died down now so will see how tonight goes and act on it tomorrow.

Thank you for offering me support when you’re going through a hard time yourself, I really appreciate it.
