@whyhastherumgone I’m so sorry 😢 that’s the only problem with the early tests, sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Thinking of you today. Again, I’m so sorry Flowers

zaalitje · 18/05/2018 13:19

So sorry whyhas

Thinking of you

mummyjl15 · 18/05/2018 15:30

@Anxiousfeelings my due date is 14th December but I didn’t ovulate until day 20 (usually day 9-11) so I’m expecting to get a later due date at my 12 week scan. Just as long as it’s not Christmas Day haha! Looks like the Christmas shopping will be done in october this year!
My first came 3 weeks early but I was told the whole way through I was measuring big. I’m sure they just got my dates wrong though so she probably arrived right on time!

BertieBotts · 18/05/2018 15:50

It's not at all ridiculous, I had fortnightly scans until 12 weeks as is pretty standard in Germany and it was a great help.

Thanks for all your kind words team! You've made me feel a lot less like I'm insane for wanting regular scans! Hope everyone has got a relaxing weekend planned.

When in early pregnancy, did anyone struggle with their appetite? I literally cannot stop eating. I don't know if it's giving up smoking or pregnancy, but I'm starting to get really concerned. It doesn't help that I'm so so bloated by 3pm.

leanne9312 · 18/05/2018 18:19

@TimeWaitsForNoWoman I keep eating and eating too anything I can just tends not to be sweet things unless that's all that's left haha feeling fat and puffy tbh. And full of spots all over my face lovely 😩

BloominMoomin89 · 18/05/2018 18:26

Hi all - i am now measuring at 11 plus 4 days today. We saw a very wriggly active healthy baby. So so relieved especially after a pretty pants week of fainting and nausea, i am starting to trust my body a little more. Only 9 weeks to the next scan if i can wait that long!

mummyjl15 · 18/05/2018 20:45

Oh man @TimeWaitsForNoWoman I know!! I’m eating ALL THE TIME!! It’s the only thing that’s easing the nausea. Started when I was 6 weeks and I’ve basically just been grazing ever since!
I didn’t have this with my first, in fact I went right off food for a few weeks.

@BloominMoomin89 ah congratulations!! So exciting! Pleased to hear all is ok :)

Flatwhite32 · 19/05/2018 06:17

@whyhastherumgone lovely to see you, but so sorry about your Clearblue digital Sad. I have read on here that they can be less sensitive. Might it be worth re-testing with a FRER?

Anxiousfeelings · 19/05/2018 07:47

@mummyjl my due date is currently 13th December so very close!

@bloomin congratulations, that’s great news!

Paranormalbouquet · 19/05/2018 09:02

@TimeWaitsForNoWoman eating carbs too much here too. Seems to curb the nausea.

Booking appointment today (didn’t know they did Saturdays!). Dreading the scales.

Maggi85 · 19/05/2018 09:05

@Paranormalbouquet I would go to your reoccurring miscarriage appointment even though you are pregnant - they give really good support and you may get additional support throughout this pregnancy xxx

Paranormalbouquet · 19/05/2018 15:47

@Maggi85 thanks, midwife said the same today. HIGH RISK written all over my notes. Reassuring!

whyhastherumgone · 19/05/2018 17:40

thank you for your kind thoughts everyone, and I hope everything goes smoothly for all of you

@flatwhite32 thank you x I did do FRERS and got all positives, although they were getting lighter before I got the negative clear blue which is what's made me think it's a chemical. My period hasn't appeared yet so if it hasn't in a week I will test again but I don't think there's much hope tbh. Hope everything is going okay for you after the stress of the reduced movements xx

intelligentPutty · 19/05/2018 19:01

Fingers crossed for you @whyhastherumgone
Hope it works out well. Xx

BertieBotts · 19/05/2018 19:02

First trimester appetite is standard in pregnancy for me. Even the ones I lost at 6 weeks I was ravenous for those two weeks I had them!

Just had loads of fresh blood Confused

BloominMoomin89 · 21/05/2018 06:13

How much is loads peaches? Have you spoken to EPU?
It might just be you'll have a mini period still like lots of women do?

zaalitje · 21/05/2018 06:51

How much is loads peaches ?
Are there any clots in it and have you had any cramping?

Around 8 weeks I had a sudden heavy fresh bleed, assumed it was all over, but a scan showed a tiny HB still beating away and they could also see a patch on my uterus where there had been a bleed - subchorionic haematoma - was warned I might get couple more similar bleeds through pregnancy, but didn't, I'm now almost 39 weeks.

Fingers crossed for you that there's a similar explanation.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/05/2018 07:18

@peaches I’m hoping that there’s an EPU near you where you can self refer. If not get into the doctors straight away so that they can refer you and get a scan ASAP!

As mentioned above there are different reasons for even a lot of blood at any stage in pregnancy. It doesn’t always mean the worst although I totally get that your heart sinks into your backside when you see it, it’s the worst feeling.

Thinking of you and hoping for he best outcome! X

Paranormalbouquet · 21/05/2018 07:56

@peaches, like zaalitje I’ve had fresh bleeds and have a subchorionic haematoma. Which is terrifying but not necessarily an issue.

Have had a rough weekend with nausea and dizzy spells. Anyone else suffering from dizziness? Have been getting waves of it for past few days.

@zaalitje how are things going? Did baby turn?

zaalitje · 21/05/2018 08:13

paranormal he did, and engaged, bum first. Not entirely convinced he's stayed where he's supposed to though. Was alowed home and now on mat leave.

Have a section scheduled for later this week due to breech presentation. still can't believe this might actually happen.

zaalitje · 21/05/2018 08:16

paranormal are the dizzy spells nausea related?

Could it be a low blood pressure or blood sugar thing?

Paranormalbouquet · 21/05/2018 08:30

Dizzy first, then nausea. Sometimes just lightheaded. I’m sure it’s blood pressure related, just don’t remember it on any of my other first trimesters! I’ll make an effort to drink more water this week and see if it helps.

Best of luck with your section, hopefully all will be straightforward. With DD I had an emergency section and found afterwards the hardest bit was sitting up in bed so I’d hold onto all the pillows you’ve probably amassed while pregnant! Otherwise breastfeeding wise in the first few days found the rugby hold easier as no pressure on wound, and also using a pillow for feeding worked great. If this one works out I hope to master feeding lying down ASAP, took me ages to get the hang of it last time and it’s a game changer!

peachesarenom · 21/05/2018 08:40

Thank you everyone. I called epu through the night no answer phone. Today they said it should have gone through to gynae. Anyway, no slots, so I have to wait till tomorrow. I might get a private scan. Bleeding has stopped. I don't think it was that much now actually. Fingers crossed.
