@intelligentPutty do you mean 1 in 150? I know that sounds high compared with 1 in 10000 but it’s still 149/150 chance all is ok.

I’m so sorry you have all this extra worry to contend with. I really hope all goes well with the harmony- how long for results of that?

peachesarenom · 15/05/2018 18:30

Thank you Paranormalbouquet that's really reassuring! I really needed a day off!

peachesarenom · 15/05/2018 18:36

Oh congratulations kirinm 24 weeks is awesome!

peachesarenom · 15/05/2018 18:38

I'm sorry intelligentPutty, I hope the results are good, fingers crossed x

intelligentPutty · 15/05/2018 18:59

Hi @Paranormalbouquet
I meant 1 in 127.

It's high risk if less than 1 in 150.

Harmony says it takes 5 to 7 days. Hopefully that's worst case. Don't know if I want the results sooner or later tbh.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/05/2018 19:06

It’s classed as high risk but do remember it’s still only 0.78% chance if that helps at all. You’ll be better once you have the info either way. I have booked in for harmony in 2 weeks- just want to know everything is ok prior to the cerclage as it will make things more complicated, and won’t have nhs screening back in time.

SoozC · 15/05/2018 19:07

Good luck, Putty, that sounds tough.

NoCatsHere · 15/05/2018 19:29

Oh putty i have everything crossed for you. I know that worry so well. I have been on google so much reading every positive story i could lay my hands on when i had crap results at 10 weeks. My NT is ok, 12 week scan was today, but i'm still nervous for my bloods. There are so many good positive outcomes out there. I really hope the Harmony results come back ok. I will be thinking of you.

intelligentPutty · 15/05/2018 19:50

Thanks guys.
I was talking to the screening midwife today and getting all these % off her
Then I just said 'I don't know why I'm writing it all down, it's just luck isn't it'.
The odds mean less and less to me these days
1 in 100 ectopic. Had that
1 in 4 (Or is it 5?) has a mc. Had 2 of them.
I'm starting to ignore stats now.
But yes. 0.8% is a good number I suppose.

My friend had said you need to start to enjoy the pregnancy at some point or you will regret. So I started to. And now I'm bt again. Arghhh! At least they could fit me in for harmony pretty quick.

Glad to hear your scan was good @NoCatsHere really great news.

@Paranormalbouquet I had to remove my Fitbit hr last year after being so disappointed at BFN when HR looked positive. I couldn't handle the stress / constant checking my HR. Maybe I'll put mine back on sometime. If I can handle that.
Now I'm using a app on my phone to check it occasionally. So it's a bit more controlled.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/05/2018 20:08

Oh @intelligentPutty I’m much more rational when I’m talking to someone else I know. I’m not sure what I’ll do if there’s a high risk of downs to be honest. My big fear is Edwards or patau syndrome. And I understand that stats might not be reassuring- after 3 losses in a row I don’t feel the stats are on my side either.

I’ll keep everything crossed that things are ok with Harmony.

intelligentPutty · 15/05/2018 20:31

Thank u. You are a sweetie.

intelligentPutty · 15/05/2018 20:32

If it's any consolation my Fitbit hr never warned me in any way about my mmc.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/05/2018 20:58

Funny thing is it never warned me of mine either. Yet here I am worrying. Nausea has been more settled last few days too overall which isn’t helping I think!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 15/05/2018 21:09

Hi ladies. Havent posted on this thread for a while so thought id update and see how everyones getting on.
At my last midwife appointment on 10th may she measured my bump and said it was measuring small & she mentioned static growth. On 15th may i had a 36w scan to check if my placenta had moved as it was low lying, and they checked babys growth as well, turns out hes small apparently (around 4lb 5 i think), very frustrating as this could have been picked up weeks ago if theyd kept an eye on us regularly instead of just leaving us to it after the 20week scan.. been pretty much decided for me that hes better out than in and ive been up at the hospital very regularly for CTG monitoring, today i was up to see the consultant and she gave me a stretch & sweep and confirmed my induction for thursday when il be 37weeks. Very nervous especially as the midwife told me my stillbirth risk has increased. I just want my rainbow baby here safe and well so please keep your fingers crossed for us ladies xx
Hope everyone is well, will read through the pages and catch up xx

intelligentPutty · 15/05/2018 22:07

@xxmissbrightsidexx sounds like you have a tough time here at the end. Can't believe they just leave u for so long after 20 week scan. Didn't they measure i and notice. Obv not I suppose. At least you re being dealt with well now and really hope all goes good for you.
X

mummyjl15 · 15/05/2018 22:47

@Paranormalbouquet I feel exactly the same about the stats. Had my doctors appointment on Friday and he said ‘funny how the body works isn’t it? 1 in 4 chance of miscarriage which is quite high...you’ve just been unlucky with 3 in a row’...errr funny?! It certainly didn’t feel that way! Can’t believe he said that to me.

@xxmissbrightsidexx sorry to hear all this stress you’re going through. But that’s not a bad weight at all, i know twins are smaller but they’re often born at 5lb or less so keeping everything crossed for a healthy baby arriving for you soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻

mummyjl15 · 15/05/2018 22:50

Sorry for TMI but I’d it normal to lose like a mucus discharge at 9/10 weeks? I lost a large clot sized punt today but only other discharge I’ve had is when I first found out I was expecting.
No pains, aches or spotting/bleeding but it’s made me worry something’s going to go wrong now.
I’m 9+4 weeks and have all my pregnancy symptoms. Got my next scan on Tuesday which I can’t wait for to check all is ok! Then my first booking appointment with the midwife is next Thursday.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 16/05/2018 08:51

@zaalitje Hope you've been okay the last few days! :) if you're reading this

kirinm · 16/05/2018 09:02

@Paranormalbouquet I thought I'd show you how erratic my heart rate is at the moment. It's dropping because I'm exercising. Before I was pregnant, my HR was average of 58bpm so it hasn't actually risen that much,

leanne9312 · 16/05/2018 09:08

@mummyjl15 I've heard that it's the mucus plug regenerating xx

mummyjl15 · 16/05/2018 09:16

That’s what I hoped @leanne9312 I just had a bit of a panic as I had that just before the bleeding started with my first miscarriage. All ok now though and trying to stay positive.

Paranormalbouquet · 16/05/2018 09:25

Thanks kirinm. I've woken up symptom free again but heart rate up again!

Have appointment with pre-term planning team today. I'm hoping they will scan me again. Although last time I attended this clinic they picked up a MMC.

leanne9312 · 16/05/2018 14:39

@mummyjl15 I'm pleased I could help, it's a worrying time for us all when you've lost one before but jeeep your chin up 😀

Paranormalbouquet · 16/05/2018 14:52

Scan shows a heartbeat, measuring 8+3. My cervix is incredibly short, hard to find. There’s a meeting to discuss the plan.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 16/05/2018 14:56

@Paranormalbouquet is this more promising than you’d expected with regards to the heartbeat?

Surely they’ll be able to do something about your cervix being short? I don’t know anything about anything but can they put a ‘suture’ in place?
