Hello aches and cramps. And here I thought things were getting better 😥

SoozC · 30/04/2018 21:30

How far along are you, Unicorns? Sorry to hear you're cramping. I've been cramping a fair bit but they've gone now and I've not had any bleeding. I'm only 5+2 though, so still very early days. I cannot wait until I'm past 7 1/2 weeks.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 30/04/2018 22:24

I'm nearly 16 weeks (on Wednesday). Probably completely normal really but I associate cramping (albeit mild) with nothing other than bad news (as I'm sure we all do really)

kirinm · 30/04/2018 22:29

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I've had cramping on and off and I always assume it means I'm going to bleed again as that's what I spent the first 17 weeks of this pregnancy doing. I think they might truly be 'normal' though as I've had cramping without bleeding which is unknown territory for me. It still scares the shit out of me. As does everything.

Paranormalbouquet · 30/04/2018 22:29

@UnicornsandRainbows1 hopefully it’s just your uterus growing.

. @SoozC we must have similar EDDs? My scan puts my EDD as Xmas day!

No bleeding today, hope it stays away. EPU say they’ll only scan me with a GP referral, can’t get a GP appointment for 2 weeks. I left a message with my lovely GP who hopefully will call me back. I’m definitely going to see about going elsewhere for EPU, they really have been so unhelpful.

intelligentPutty · 30/04/2018 23:16

@Paranormalbouquet hope it does stay away. Big crossed fingers here for u. X

SoozC · 01/05/2018 07:13

I think mine's around Dec 29th or thereabouts, Para. Glad to hear you'd no bleeding yesterday.

Unicorns, I know what you mean. I do exactly the same thing when I have mild cramps: panic. Not a pleasant experience, I hate having my joy tainted by my previous loss. Hopefully all is fine with you.

My breasts and nipples have been sore lately and I'm taking it as a good sign as I don't remember having that last time.

Paranormalbouquet · 01/05/2018 08:06

Mine are sore on and off, but not very. So I’m alternately reassured and unreassured again.

Nausea started yesterday, mild and on and off. Suddenly couldn’t eat beef for dinner (managed the carbs just fine though).

LisaSimpsonsbff · 01/05/2018 12:29

I know that other people's experiences aren't really that comforting - what you want to know is whether your pregnancy is ok - but I had so many points in the first trimester when I thought all hope was lost because my symptoms were so mild and fluctuating, but it wasn't. My breasts stopped being sore by around 7 weeks, and nausea - which was very mild and manageable - only came in at around week 9. I really think the constant 'feeling sick is a great sign!' and so on is incredibly unhelpful - it's designed to comfort women who are feeling rubbish, but it comes at the cost of really panicking those who aren't.

Paranormalbouquet · 01/05/2018 12:34

@LisaSimpsonsbff I agree with you on that point. With DD I had around 4 episode of sickness that lasted a few hours at a time. And was very mild. No sore boobs, just some tiredness. And she measured about 5-6 days behind even though I was totally sure of my dates (DH was working away and had only been home for one night!).

With my MMC I had sore breasts constantly and nausea from week 5 on.

I keep trying to reassure myself that symptoms mean nothing!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 01/05/2018 12:39

I also think that the way you measure symptoms (unless they're very severe) is different when you're highly anxious after loss. Looking back now, I had frequent (if very mild) nausea and constant tiredness, and I think lots of women who weren't worried would have described that as clear symptoms, and indeed as quite inconvenient. Because I craved constant reassurance that I 'felt pregnant enough', though, I completely dismissed them and described myself as having no symptoms. When you're constantly searching your body for signs no symptoms will ever fully reassure you, as there will always be some fluctuation, and that will always panic you.

Paranormalbouquet · 01/05/2018 12:49

I’m finding it hard to assess my fatigue as I’m sleeping badly. Because I’m anxious probably!

Anxiousfeelings · 01/05/2018 14:20

@Lisa and @paranormal I completely agree with both of you! I don’t remember even thinking about symptoms when expecting my DD but now I constantly analyse everything. Each of my last three recent pregnancies have been different. This one seems the most even in that everything is there but it’s mild. The last one (MMC) had strong nausea and extreme fatigue so outwardly was ‘reassuring’ but in fact led to nothing. If this one is also an MMC I really will lose all trust in symptoms .....

MsMGS · 01/05/2018 14:47

I ended up staying in overnight, home now. @mummyjl15 thankfully my hcg levels are dropping, so a standard MC.

Thanks for all your wishes everyone, sending positive thoughts all your way, hope you all have thoroughly uneventful pregnancies. X

Snorebrown · 01/05/2018 17:23

12 week scan today. Measuring a couple of days ahead and all seems ok (touch wood). And breathe... :-)

SoozC · 01/05/2018 19:18

So sorry, MGS. Sad

Paranormalbouquet · 01/05/2018 19:24

Sorry @MsMGS, I hope you are able to rest today.

@Snorebrown congratulations! 12 weeks is a milestone.

Nausea has vanished again as quickly as it came here!

Flatwhite32 · 01/05/2018 19:24

So sorry @MsMGS. Take care of yourself. Xx

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I text my midwife at 16 weeks as I had awful pains that would stop me in my tracks. Turns out they were stretching pains! As long as there's no bleeding, it's very likely to be everything stretching.

SoozC · 01/05/2018 21:03

Snore, so good you had a positive 12-week scan!

Lisa, I know what you say is true. And I haven't really been pregnant much (about 8 weeks in total between my two) so I've no idea if I have a "normal". Right now, I'm trying to enjoy the symptoms, but not read into them too much. Only time will tell, I guess.

intelligentPutty · 01/05/2018 23:02

Sorry to hear that @MsMGS
Look after yourself and hope to see u back here soon.

@Snorebrown so pleased to hear u got to 12 week scan. Grin

So far as symptoms go. I'm not sure I had any in any pregnancies. Very occasional sore boobs. And I think I'm tired. But maybe I am just tired.
I reckon it's just something we can use to drive ourselves nuts in these early days.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 02/05/2018 05:27

@MsMGS, I’m so sorry. Take care of yourself.

Thinking of you x

Snorebrown · 02/05/2018 06:27

Thinking of you MsMGS. Take care xx

Snorebrown · 02/05/2018 06:31

The problem is the scan went well but now I am filled with anxiety about the blood test results :0(

keeponrunning85 · 02/05/2018 08:20

I am so sorry MsMGS. Be kind to yourself these next few weeks.

Great news on the scan snore. I'm sorry the reassurance has been short lived. I hope your results come through quickly.

I'VE MADE IT TO 24 WEEKS! For so long I never thought this day would come.

Snorebrown · 02/05/2018 08:29

How long do the combined results take from everyone's experience?
