Hello

I thought I'd start a new thread for people who have are due late Nov/ early Dec

A bit about me...

I'm 28 have been married nearly 2 years and we were very lucky and managed to fall pregnant first month TTC...

I've self referred on the NHS website and am awaiting my booking in appointment 🙂

What's your story? ❤️

If I’d seen this I might not have needed to add a thread of my own...the stretching pains might be what I’m experiencing but mine felt like a strong shooting pain, I called out because it was so sudden and hurt. :/

EL332 · 22/05/2018 08:16

I've been having pains in my hips and lower back and then sudden sharp pains behind my belly button, when I spoke to my consultant she explained that the placenta emits a hormone that relaxes your joints which can then cause the stretching and parting of stomach muscles... it's called 'relaxin' but the result is definitely not relaxing!

I seem to be really changing shape now... but not really weight... in fact I'm 4lb lighter than when booking in...

I look like I've put weight on as all my extra weight has gravitated to my tummy!

Have other people gained or lost in the first trimester?

I haven't weighed myself 🙈 but I have a definite tummy. 12 weeks 4 days today x

Poppylizzyrose · 22/05/2018 08:43

Before I was pregnant I was quite a big drinker, socially and just in evening after work. I’ve found I’ve lost lot of weight in the face and arms and such, as I would touch it or smoke pregnant. But I’ve got a tummy, showing quite a lot at 11 weeks, my legs and everything else have stayed same so far.

ellsharks · 22/05/2018 09:19

@EL332 I lost 4kg since my booking in to my scan 🙈 good aversions. Haven't gained weight but belly is definitely different.

I walked around London Saturday and the baby is punishing me this week with the pains! @Poppylizzyrose mine have occasionally been like being stabbed! I got out the car when my OH was throwing my pass out the window to me and doubled over on the floor. Never seen him move so quick. Went after about 15 seconds but fuck me it hurt!

Poppylizzyrose · 22/05/2018 09:25

Yeah you’ve described the shooting pain, these weird pains come out of nowhere for me. I’m worried I’m a massive wuss how will I cope with the birth?! My emotions are still nuts, if I cry I can’t stop for ages. Hope you had a lovely time in London x

MouseLove · 23/05/2018 07:47

Hey just dropping in. Pains... the weird and the wonderful. Don't move too fast ladies. WOMP!

I had my scan yesterday and I am sooo relieved to say everything looked beautiful. Baby was very active and wriggling about.

Looks like I've got a tall one though as they dated me at 13 weeks yesterday rather than the 12+3 I should be (early scan and cycle tracking) so my EDD has now moved to 27th Nov. ☺️

Hope everyone's scans have been going well recently and do continue to do so. X

ellsharks · 23/05/2018 09:06

@mouselove ahh my due date is 26th!

I had the worst pain yesterday and today it feels like someone is pulling something deep down there and letting it go every like 10 seconds.

This is going to sound twisted but im glad im not the only one in pain haha... its settling to know its normal.

hammeringinmyhead · 23/05/2018 10:05

I'm 15+1 today. I had my midwife appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat! Whomp Whomp Whomp.

I have also lost weight in my face and arms but gained in my belly and bum. I look a bit like an egg! I think it's from no wine and hardly any lattes.

Emma198 · 23/05/2018 12:32

Does anyone else swell up at night time? I have to take my rings off in the evening.

This thread will be full soon we'll have to make a new one

EL332 · 23/05/2018 22:11

2nd attempt at my dating scan today and after rolling around and being sent for a walk, baby moved from laying on its tummy so they could get the measurements and we now have November 29th as our expected due date, making me 12 + 6 today ❤️

As brilliant @EL332 congratulations! X

ReiofHope · 23/05/2018 23:50

@EL322 same due date as me!
Congratulations

Does anyone have painful skin on their face and spots? Any idea about treatments or products?

EL332 · 24/05/2018 07:41

@ReiofHope twins! 🙂 I had awful spots appear on my neck - I've been using a garnier millecular water for oily skin and it's really dried them out and no more have appeared 🙌🏼 apparently pregnancy acne is a thing! 🙄

OP posts:
Emma198 · 24/05/2018 08:00

I got a few spots within the first weeks of finding out I was pregnant. I suffered when I was a teen - freederm gel and sudacrem work for me. Might as well stick up on the sudacrem now! 🙄🙄

AnotherOriginalUsername · 24/05/2018 08:17

My skin is awful too currently. Also gone back to the products I used as a teenager.

I feel pregnant today. Still no real symptoms but my (one size bigger purchased 5 days ago) work trousers are tight and even I don't get that fat that quickly. I also feel like my posture has shifted and I'm getting low back aches Confused

GreenGooner · 24/05/2018 11:01

Just had my screening NT results and screening came back as 1/100000 for each. So relieved!!

Hope everyone is well. 13+1 now but still being sick! Feel so much more positive about everything though.

EDD now 28/11. Time is dragging x

Emma198 · 24/05/2018 12:45

Aw that's brill! Had my scan today, moved my due date from 30 Nov to 26th! That makes me 13 weeks 3 days! Nuchal fluid was 2mm which is in normal range so just need to wait for results to come back. My sickness went but came back. Booo.

mummyamy12 · 24/05/2018 14:14

Hi
I am Amy, i am 12 weeks pregnant :)

I am 20 from Birmingham and engaged to an amazing man who i have knew since i was 12!

Super excited for our first baby :)

GreenGooner · 24/05/2018 14:36

Welcome Amy!!

@Emma198 have you brought anything yet? For some reason I can't bring myself to yet... also when I push down on my flab I swear I can feel a bump 😂

Is anyone finding out the sex?

mummyamy12 · 24/05/2018 14:43

Hi @Emma198

I could not help myself. Got a couple of bits like this super cute jumper from Asda.

I am having a gender reveal cake! Is any one else announcing gender in this sort of way? :)

GlamBump · 24/05/2018 14:53

hi! im 21 and been with my partner just under a year but been living together since we got together. Unplanned but we're both so excited! I'm 14 weeks 2 days, and due 20th November :)

GlamBump · 24/05/2018 14:58

@mummyamy12 i am! we booked an early gender scan on the 9th, and my partners mum and family are throwing a lil gender party for us. They're really over the top and celebrate everything, so im excited. It's our first baby so we've said since day 1 we wanted to know the gender - need to get all the right coloured baby bits!! hehe

Emma198 · 24/05/2018 16:05

@GreenGooner not yet - i said i wouldn't until my scan. First stop is some maternity jeans cos I can't wear my jeans anymore 🙈 🙈 Also want a maternity pillow because my back and legs are hurting already!

I think I might wait until 20 week scan to buy baby stuff. Telling my Nanna tomorrow so no doubt she'll wait before she's bringing stuff up, she's mad!

ellsharks · 24/05/2018 16:14

@mummyamy12 @greengooner I am finding out the sex, I wasn't sure on it but my boyfriend is desperate to know!

We're gonna just have a BBQ on the Sunday and invite mine and his family and do a "pop the balloon" thing haha. Its so corny but seeing it in a balloon makes it a bit more exciting than a sonographer saying "you're having a boy" so sod it!
