Stretching them while they dry haha

AnotherOriginalUsername · 14/05/2018 06:57

Well I must have changed shape because I've actually lost weight this week but my trousers definitely do not fit. I have a million pairs of black trousers in sizes 14-20 (yo-yo dieter alert!) but all that fits this morning is a pair of black cropped jeans. Ah well, it'll have to do for now!

Newdad82 · 14/05/2018 07:47

Now has started the time of random acquaintances walking towards my wife with arm outstretched..

Everyone thinks they can touch her tummy? Is this normal? We’re both finding it very weird. People also telling her they can see a bump?! She just feels bloated but no real bump? When people still are convinced she has one, it just comes across rude?

ellsharks · 14/05/2018 10:01

@Newdad82 I think that comes part and parcel with it lol. My best friend told me I had a bump the other day but I just told her it ain't, it's a shit load of gas!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 14/05/2018 12:39

Lord help anyone who touches me Hmm

HanahMarie · 14/05/2018 13:21

I am dying to have my bump now - keep thinking it's there but it's just food or air mostly then is gone by the morning :( we are currently referring to baby as 'bumpy' which feels bit weird as it's like the invisible bump right now...

AaronPurrSir · 14/05/2018 13:36

I’m 11+2 and I definitely feel like my stomach has popped in the last few days. It’s hard now, and I can no longer suck it in. No one is going to be shocked when I announce it Grin

ellsharks · 14/05/2018 15:45

I'm 12+2 and something's definitely changed! When I laid flat before my belly sunk, now it's still popping out! Wahoo!

FASH84 · 14/05/2018 16:17

Can I join? 33, PCOS, told we'd need fertility treatment but to TTC for 9 months first, conceived less than 6 weeks after coming off the pill 🙈. Just started a two year secondment at work that means I'm travelling the country, haven't told them yet and funny know what this will mean as they've replaced my old role... I've booked in but no scan date yet. 10 weeks since last period and think I'm about 8-9 weeks, I was using a tracking app just to monitor length of cycles and because I've been away a lot it is fairly easy to pinpoint when conception probably was! Lovely to see all of the scan pictures, SIL announced their second last week due November but we've not told anyone yet.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 14/05/2018 20:13

Welcome aboard @FASH84, congratulations!

I'm pretty sure that if I wasn't so fat I'd have some sort of bump today! I'm 10+3 based on my early scan and I usually have pretty good abs (under the flab) but there's definitely stopping me sucking it all in today!

Emma198 · 15/05/2018 17:32

Congratulations @Fash84!

Emma198 · 15/05/2018 22:11

I got maternity bras today. I'm 11+4. Already gone from 36B to 38C 😭😭😭 no wonder my tops aren't fitting very well.

ReiofHope · 15/05/2018 22:38

I'm 12 + 2 and I've been living living in maturnity bras for two weeks. I was a D/DD before I got pregnant. I dread to think of the state they'll be in after baby!

I'm also a 14/16 so sure my bump would be there if i weren't so fat. There's definitely a hardness under the flab now.
My scan is on Thursday and I can't wait!

MrsCrumbtious · 16/05/2018 08:07

Sports bras are my friend atm!
Have my booking in appointment with the midwife this morning at our house. Is that common to do that these days?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 16/05/2018 08:20

@MrsCrumbtious I think most places have a team of community midwives for more straight forward pregnancies. I have a practice based midwife and don't stand a hope in hell's chance of giving birth anywhere other than a hospital ward due to my medical history

ellsharks · 16/05/2018 09:54

@Emma198 where have you bought them. I was a 36C and now thinking il be more like a 38D!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 16/05/2018 10:29

Just looked at today's diary at work - my midwife is coming in for an appointment this afternoon Confused

HanahMarie · 16/05/2018 11:12

What are people's experiences with water births?

When I first heard about them I thought it would be horrendous having stuff all floating around you Confused but now that I'm pregnant and seriously considering these options suddenly it's not sounding like such a horrible idea - I love relaxing in the bath and like the idea of trying to replicate that environment for birth - I've so far been labelled a low risk pregnancy so it's currently a viable option to explore...

ellsharks · 16/05/2018 13:04

@HanahMarie I have always wanted a water birth! My friend had one and loved it. She only needed paracetamol!

HanahMarie · 16/05/2018 13:17

Omg can you imagine only needing paracetamol!!! That would be amazing Shock I do like the idea of not being drugged up but equally I don't wana be in excruciating pain so I guess you just have to weigh up the pros and cons a bit

AnotherOriginalUsername · 16/05/2018 13:19

I've always thought I'd be one of those that just breathes it out. I have an incredibly high tolerance for pain but my birth has been dictated to me and starts with an epidural straight away!

Emma198 · 16/05/2018 13:26

@ellsharks went to Debenhams. I reckon M and S would be good too but ours is really small where I live.

ellsharks · 16/05/2018 13:27

I really don't want an epidural. Not because I'm against them I'm just scared of them 🙈! So I'm gonna attempt hypnobirthing in water... like a proper hippo. I mean... what will be will be

HanahMarie · 16/05/2018 14:53

@ellsharks are you doing Wise Hippo?

ellsharks · 16/05/2018 15:28

@HanahMarie yeah that's what my hospital use! X
