Think someone posted a link to it on here the other day so I had a read through it...

ellsharks · 16/05/2018 16:01

Yeah well it sounds like a dream lol whether or not your birth is as straightforward is another thing. Postive thoughts... Positive outcomes!!

ND348 · 17/05/2018 09:34

How are you coping with feeling unwell/picking up bugs ? I've picked up a full blown cold and can't reach for the trusty Lemsip to help out. Its now causing bad sinus headaches too. Combined with that today has greeted me with bad diarrhoea (sorry if tmi!). Mixed in with pregnancy tiredness and nausea I'm feeling like a big bag of poo (literally 😂). Any advice would be welcome x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/05/2018 21:33

Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish @ND348, I can't really help there as I've fortunately been absolutely fine so far.

Besides tired. I'm so tired right now I think I might die of tired. I'm on a 55 hour week this week and I've just been roped in to working Saturday night for charity. I think I could cry.

EL332 · 17/05/2018 22:24

@ND348 I had a horrible head cold about a month ago and it knocked me out, I wasn't able to stay on top of my nausea and that's when I was being quite sick ...

I ended up having to take a few days off work and just slept and slept and slept and drunk so much lemon and ginger ...

I was really worried about taking and medicines so just stick with the above - it hung around longer than a cold normally would for me but I think that's because our immune systems are so low in early pregnancy!

I hope you are able to rest and be kind to yourself ❤️

Oh @another how are you doing that?!

@nd the worst I've had that I'd normally take something for is a headache x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/05/2018 01:07

@Emma198 I'm fine in the morning but my awakness/feel good/general tolerance dwindles as the day goes on!

ND348 · 18/05/2018 07:26

I caved last night and took a paracetamol at 3am as hadn't managed to sleep at all. It took the edge off but I felt guilty for taking it even though at my booking appointment the midwife said it was fine to take! The joys of pregnancy...

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/05/2018 08:16

@ND348 don't feel guilty - there's people out there who drink and smoke throughout pregnancy and their babies pop out fine!

Are you feeling any better this morning?

I've decided I need to get back to some sort of sensible eating...wish me luck Confused

EL332 · 18/05/2018 08:31

@ND348 my consultant told me paracetamol was fine too 🙂 I hope you start to feel better soon!

@Another I also need to star trying eat a bit more of a balanced diet now that my nausea is subsiding!

I'm just getting ready to head off for my dating scan!

Eeeeeeeeek

Good luck!

ReiofHope · 18/05/2018 11:00

Oh my goodness, it's a baby!

I was told I was exactly 12 weeks so my due date has moved to 29th November.

Tiny one is doing well and has a strong heartbeat, it was wriggling about and was sitting on its head though so we have been asked to return in a week so that they are able to complete all the measurements when baby is hopefully a little calmer! 🙂❤️

@ReiofHope 'it's a baby!' Is exactly how I felt - still feel a little bit shocked at just how baby like it looks! Congratulations to you on your lovely photo 💞

Lovely pics, but very jealous...... how will I cope with waiting another 17 days!!!!!!

ReiofHope · 18/05/2018 17:27

@EL332 your baby was exactly the opposite of mine! My baby was too still and they made me have "half a wee" and cough a lot but that didn't work so I had to go walk up and down stairs outside the unit.

In the last week I've been sick twice, I wasn't sick at all before that. I really hope I won't have sickness in my second trimester! Sad

HanahMarie · 18/05/2018 17:39

Lovely pics guys 😊👍🏻

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/05/2018 19:46

Aw great photos! Still a week to go until mine, it's taking forever!

ND348 · 18/05/2018 19:49

Love the photos! I had to go to a conference with work today and everyone kept asking if I was ok as apparently I looked awful, nothing like a compliment to make you feel better! Weekend will be full of rest I'm hoping

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/05/2018 20:51

Well my attempt at being healthy went out the window...my boss bought us all pizza for lunch!

I'll take my nice healthy salad I made for lunch tomorrow instead!

Emma198 · 19/05/2018 13:46

Anyone else getting stretching pains down your sides?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 19/05/2018 14:13

No, but I keep pulling my lateral abdominal muscles when I turn over in bed or stand upright from bending over. Most annoying!!

ellsharks · 19/05/2018 22:05

@Emma198 @AnotherOriginalUsername I get aches which I've been told are stretching pains and like you another, if I move too quickly it feels like I've pulled a muscle! Usually getting out the car which is weird but not sure what that is x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 20/05/2018 12:48

Ok today I've got what may be described as a stretching feeling, probably the round ligament I'd say which is probably also responsible for the twanging pain I get on the other side when I turn over

Emma198 · 20/05/2018 13:04

I'm twanging and stretching when I turn, stand up, sneeze. Stretching down my sides and round my hips.
