I’m 17 weeks today and also nothing seems to be happening in there, like the rest of you I know it’s still early but I can’t help but be disappointed and concerned. 20w scan is 3 weeks on Monday and it can’t come soon enough

14 weeks today! Woohoo but seriously feels like I'm not pregnant at all today!

I’m sure if the majority of us are
Feeling the same, then it’s fine :) hopefully it’ll come in the next 2-3 weeks :)

I really wasn’t expecting to feel movements this early, but I am still ridiculously annoyed that I haven’t (I blame the hormones, my rational thinking seems to have been lost somewhere along the way Smile)

@snowy1982 that’s exactly how I feel! Wasn’t expecting it but annoyed that I haven’t hahaha. I was telling my friend that I also blame the hormones! She’s 4 months ahead of me and has been exactly the same. We’re normally pretty chilled out and rational haha

Do anyone of you feel as though your bump fluctuates throughout the day? I wouldn't say I have a proper bump yet, it has certainly got bigger but I think most of it is fat 😂 (but at least now I don't have to worry about trying to hide the fat and I can just get away with saying I'm pregnant as an excuse💁🏼‍♂️). I normally feel pretty flabby in the morning but throughout the day it gets harder and more bump like, which is probably half down to bloating but it gets very hard higher up nearer my breasts.

Has anyone got a proper obvious bump yet? I'm 17+2 today and hoping it pops soon!

@itallhappensforareason I’ve got a little bump but not obvious. If I wear baggy clothes you can’t tell at all. Even in tight tops I just look a bit chubby! Every time I tell someone I’m pregnant and 17 weeks they look at me like...Hmm haha. My mate pooped at 20 weeks so think maybe in a few weeks! It does change a bit throughout the day too. Probably still getting some bloat x

@snowy1982 I’m feeling very much the same, I was 17 weeks on Thursday and I keep thinking I might have felt something but in all likelihood it’s probably too early (or it’s indigestion Grin). My 20 week scan is actually not until I’m 22 weeks so hoping I’ll have felt the baby before then for sure.

@itallhappensforareason I don't have any kind of bump at all yet. I went for a maternity bra fitting earlier and the shop assistant couldn't believe that I'm 17 weeks as I've not got anything and my bra still fits perfectly. I'm a size 16 with F cup bra size so I think it's all hidden under my normal extra tyre.

My DD is 18 weeks on Tuesday and this is my first GC and I can’t wait. I bought the pram/ buggy combo last night. A sided by side cot, nursery furniture, cot and pram sheets, blankets, baby bouncer, steriliser, baby gros and lots of other things. You name it, I’ve bought it. Some things are duplicated because I will babysit. You can maybe tell I’m excited.

I'm only 14 weeks and have a bump...I'm still in my usual size 10 clothes but I live in leggings so not had to buy any new clothes yet. My bump is only little in the morning but then huge in the evening! Lol, I had to go buy new bras today as bursting out my normal ones 🙈

Hello can I join in , I’m 15 weeks today with baby number 4 who is a little surprise as I was convinced my fertility was kapuut but here we are , due the 23rd of September but will have c section a week or so before . Had some large bleeds last 5 weeks and had multiple scans and had a haematoma so signed off work just now , still so tired and nauseous.
Anyway nice to meet you all Smile

Is anyone else getting nose bleeds since being pregnant? I read apparently 20% of pregnant women get nosebleeds when pregnant compared to 4% non-pregnant.
I've never had one before in my life and have about 6 in the past few weeks 🙄
Also very jealous of those of you starting to feel your little one moving around I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and so I've not felt anything yet.

No actual nosebleeds, but my nose is constantly stuffed and whenever I blow my nose there is always blood

ichifanny · 02/04/2018 10:12

I remember from previous pregnancies progesterone and pregnancy hormones causes your nasal lining to dry out and become more fragile .
I’ve only had vague flutters but this is 4th baby .

PinkyPromise77 · 02/04/2018 12:18

Yeah @RockinRobinn got more since the start of the pregnancy. I am used to them as I got them often before but since the beginning they were getting so bad the GP had to cauterised veins in my nose. I still get them sometimes but they are much smaller and I can actually stop them.

If they get too bad speak to your GP.

I’m thinking of ringing the midwife if I haven’t felt movement at 18 weeks (I’m currently 17weeks 2days). Would that be ridiculous? I really don’t want to bug her, but getting a bit anxious and by then I feel I’d want some reassurance

Is anyone else still feeling sick? I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and still so nauseous, it's really getting me down Sad I'm not actually being sick anymore but the relentless nausea is so debilitating, I'm terrified it's going to last the full 40 weeks

@CJ1990, it’s still so early for feeling anything with the first, if you think a call to to the midwife might reassure of this then give her a call, but I really don’t think you have anything to be concerned about. (Also, are your friends sure about what their feeling??)

Report
Colabottles64 · 02/04/2018 15:47

Hey @cj1990 I didn’t feel movements until the evening of my 20 week scan with my first so I think it’s a bit early to be getting worried. Im 18 weeks and have had flutters but honestly they could be gas. Nothing that’s felt like a kick you could feel with your hand on tummy yet. X
