Ooo sore. Rest up and use deep freeze!

snowy1982 · 22/06/2018 09:53

My whole body just ached all night, felt so uncomfortable. Seems to be better today though so obviously no real damage was done.

niclw · 22/06/2018 19:14

@snowy1982 Glad to hear that it seems better today. Keep resting and take care of yourself.

niclw · 24/06/2018 17:40

I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere with the nursery and baby stuff this weekend as I've finally made some decisions. I've got a colour scheme and curtains, and I have virtually all the furniture just need an Ikea trip for the rest. Also got loads of bits in the mothercare sale. I really wish that I could stay home and get it all sorted tomorrow.

snowy1982 · 25/06/2018 09:02

@niclw, I have a colour scheme too, planning on grey and mint green (I don’t know what i’m having so thought that would be neutral enough). Am torn between adding so pale yellow to cover all bases.

Haven’t bought anything yet (other than ordering main pieces of furniture) as I decided ages ago I wouldn’t buy more until 30w, I will be 30w on Friday so I imagine my credit card will take quite the battering over the weekend Smile

niclw · 25/06/2018 13:41

I've just got in from work. Have been told by triage to lie down on left side for an hour to see if I can get baby moving. I think work related stress is the problem so hoping baby starts moving now I'm home. I think I may get take tomorrow off too as we have Ofsted in.

@snowy1982 Im going with grey too as I don't know either. I had problems finding a paint colour as the curtains are a light grey and the greens and yellows didn't look right. So now having an off white wall but adding more colour with decorative bits.

snowy1982 · 25/06/2018 13:44

@niclw, hope baby starts kicking up a storm for you soon. Although don’t necessarily panic if they dont, just take yourself over to assessment. The night that I went over I followed all the instructions, lay on left side, had a cold drink etc, didn’t feel a single think in 1hr so went over to get monitored. Everything was 100%, I just seem to have an awkward baby.

niclw · 25/06/2018 14:03

@snowy1982 Thanks. Had a couple of small movements but not much so will ring them back when I teach an hour.

snowy1982 · 25/06/2018 14:38

Definitely go up if your not happy when the hour is up

Marriageoftrueminds · 25/06/2018 15:39

Hope all is well; the midwife said to me that it’s almost always fine when babies go quiet for a bit, but they like to be cautious. I went in a couple of weeks ago as baby had been very quiet and I lay down etc for two hours and felt absolutely nothing, it was quite scary! But as soon as the midwife put the monitoring thing on my belly, baby started to try and kick it off! I sure you'll be fine but you’re doing the right thing to check.

niclw · 25/06/2018 18:07

Just got back from the hospital. Everything is good. Was put on the monitor for over half an hour. After 20 mins I started feeling movements again. There were 3 if us in there with due dates within a few days of each other so today must be the day for it.

Katjolo · 25/06/2018 19:24

Good to hear all was well @niclw. How many weeks along are you now? I've bought the travel system but not much else. Need to get looking.

niclw · 25/06/2018 20:11

@Katjolo Thanks. I'm 29 weeks tomorrow.

I wasn't planning on getting most things until after 30 weeks but wanted to make the most of the sale. I've still a few odd things to get though.

snowy1982 · 25/06/2018 20:45

Glad everything is ok @niclw Smile

Ktn35 · 25/06/2018 23:29

@niclw glad everything is ok 😊 and good luck for Ofsted tomorrow. Just what you need in a heat wave three weeks before term ends 😩

niclw · 26/06/2018 07:57

@snowy1982 @Ktn35 Thank you. I've decided to stay home today as the midwife said it might have been caused by stress. I'll aim to go in tomorrow for day 2 of the inspection. I'm now counting down till the end of term only four weeks then 9 months off!

Katjolo · 26/06/2018 08:21

@niclw good idea to stay and rest. Work is not worth the stress. Depending on the outcome from today at your school, they probably won't come back tomorrow under the new framework. Don't go back until your ready.

Ktn35 · 26/06/2018 16:23

In my experience they always bloody come back! Hope you are feeling better 😊 xx

niclw · 26/06/2018 20:08

Feeling much better thank you. They are definitely back tomorrow. Not sure whether to go in or not yet. Will decide on the morning.

CharXo · 26/06/2018 22:53

Hi! Have any of you ladies had any Braxton Hicks yet? I’m nearly 30 weeks and been getting them since 26 weeks! Not painful just really uncomfortable! Also got some nice toes digging in my ribs which is really uncomfortable when I sit up!

Only 10 weeks to go!

mamaiFifi · 26/06/2018 23:45

Anyone with sharp
Stabbing pains in boobs? They have started last few days its a strange feeling

OliveOrTwist · 27/06/2018 13:45

Hi Ladies. Can I join? I was on this thread way back in the early days but kinda dropped off it. I'm due 15th Sept, team yellow!

bluees · 28/06/2018 05:17

@snowy1982 m in same boat as well. Painted walls grey. Will add colour with other bits.

snowy1982 · 28/06/2018 06:23

@bluees we just moved into our house last year and walls in all rooms are painted light grey so that helped decide our colour scheme.

My plans over the next week or so is to get everything I need for the hospital bag so I can tick it off the list

itallhappensforareason · 29/06/2018 15:41

Hi all, hope we are all doing well and enjoying the third trimester (if we are all there that is)! I've not been around for a while, seem to have been so busy recently but finally got a quiet day. I'm "working" from home and been sat in the garden all day - really lovely to finally get a chance to have some peace.

We've painted the nursery baby blue, I'm hoping to paint the door white tomorrow and then that's the painting done. Also hoping to pop to Dunelm at some point for some black out blinds and curtains. Was getting impatient waiting for our furniture delivery from Mamas & Papas (WHY does it take soooo long?!), I contacted them on Wednesday and they said they had managed to bring delivery forward by 2 weeks, so will be getting that at the end of July. Can't wait to get it all built and for the nursery to actually look like a nursery!

We've almost bought everything now. Just little things left now like things for my hospital bag and toiletry kind of things, i.e. nappies, water wipes, breast pads, maternity clothes/knickers for hospital etc. Also trying to get a good deal on a second hand breast pump on ebay, don't want to spend money on a full price brand new one as I might not get on with it, but I feel I want to have it in the house and ready.

30+1 today. Not long to go..... Getting nervous about the whole birth thing!!! Hmm
