@ShanC97 have you spoken to your midwife?

EllMae · 02/05/2018 18:52

@sososotired aaaaaahhhh!!! I’m so excited. What time is yours? Xx

sososotired · 02/05/2018 19:07

Mine is at 13:10, what time is yours?

surreygirl1987 · 02/05/2018 20:33

@niclw my school has just advertised my post (English teacher) finally, although I told them weeks ago! Department is getting a bit worried...

niclw · 02/05/2018 20:43

@surreygirl1987 That's good. My department have all applied for jobs as they don't want to be in a dept without a head of it. Hopefully the advert will be out this week after my nagging. I'm still worried with resignation deadline being only a few weeks away though. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

Ktn35 · 02/05/2018 21:26

Hi ladies, I'm having a terrible day. My partner and I have been arguing so much and I feel like it's causing me so much stress and worry. Sometimes I worry we are not going to make it through this pregnancy. I don't think it's my hormones or anything - he is genuinely in the wrong 😞

itallhappensforareason · 03/05/2018 10:28

Hope things get better Ktn35 Flowers

DH took me out for a lovely meal last night as a treat. I was so looking forward to it and this place is quite expensive (about £25 on average per main course). My appetite has been getting better and better recently so thought it would be ok. Ate some focaccia bread for starters ok, main came out, took 1 bite of it and felt so sick. Went to the bathroom to compose myself a little and was able to pick at little bits of it but hardly ate any - thanks baby!!! I was sooo upset :(

snowy1982 · 03/05/2018 10:58

@itallhappens I’d be raging if I were you.

I left 2 messages with midwife (1 on mobile yesterday and 1 to office this morning) with no reply (except from what I assume is the MW son calling me back and hanging up) so still not too sure about this movement stuff Sad

EllMae · 03/05/2018 15:01

@sososotired how did it go for you? We had ours earlier and so excited to announce that we are having a baby boy!! All very happy and healthy x

itallhappensforareason · 03/05/2018 15:19

sososotired · 03/05/2018 16:05

Bibijayne · 03/05/2018 16:58

Anyone else with an anterior placenta?

Katjolo · 03/05/2018 17:41

20w scan for me next Tuesday. Does anyone else have theirs next week?

niclw · 03/05/2018 19:46

@sososotired and @EllMae Congratulations on your baby boys.

@Katjolo I've got attempt 2 of my 20 week scan on Wednesday next week. I'm hoping that baby is in a better position this time.

itallhappensforareason · 03/05/2018 20:14

Congrats @sososotired! Lots of boys 💙

@bibijayne yes I do.

snowy1982 · 04/05/2018 08:25

So ended up in assessment unit last night. Finally got talking to midwife after having barely any movement all day. They told me to get something to eat and a cold drink and lie on my left for an hour and to come over if still concerned. I did as they suggested and baby didn’t move once in the hour so we went straight over.

Baby is absolutely fine, seems like it is a stubborn wee shite like it’s father. MW did urine sample and my BP, pulse rate and temp before listening in to baby, she said everything was perfect but that I did the right thing in coming over.

As soon as I got home baby decided it had had enough of being still and movements started up again Smile

niclw · 04/05/2018 10:43

@snowy1982 I'm glad that everything is alright and that you got reassurance that you needed

bluees · 04/05/2018 16:49

Did anyone try maternity support belt.
I am having quite pain in lower back n round ligament pain. Someone suggested to use belt but i am not too sure.

  1. Mother care brand is really expensive
  2. It looks like same typical belly band so wondering will it really help

Any experiences 😒

Katjolo · 04/05/2018 18:22

@niclw exciting. Mine's on Tuesday.

Katjolo · 04/05/2018 18:26

Naively went shopping today for some maternity wear (after struggling to do the button on my jeans, I decided it was time 😂). I never knew how difficult it was to buy maternity wear! Mostly told to look online. Clearly a gap in the market.

sososotired · 04/05/2018 18:46

@bluees I wear a belly belt as I'm on my feet all day at work so needed some support for my back, bought mine off eBay for about £15 I really find it helpful my back pain is gone for now :) it also strangely helped for the period like pain which I believe is just stretching ligaments :)

dinomad · 04/05/2018 20:41

Had our 20 week scan today, all went ok and found out we're having a girl, due 19th sept!!! So relieved the scan went ok, neither of us have told many people just in case there was a problem so feel so relieved. Can get excited now!!!!!!! And look at what to buy Smile
