@SeattleKate that's so interesting, especially as I have a biology background. Can't believe how little room our organs have and how much room the baby takes up!!!

No wonder I get out of breath going uphill!!! I've been like that since about week 8!!!

sososotired · 28/04/2018 17:24

Is anyone still suffering from morning sickness? I'm really not enjoying this today 🤮

Monkeysocks30 · 29/04/2018 13:27

Could anyone please tell me if there is a sept 18 Facebook group, and if so, how I’d be able to join? Many thanks.

snowy1982 · 29/04/2018 15:37

Pram ordered 😄 went for the ocarro in the end, but in mulberry not sage

Gracey88 · 29/04/2018 16:28

@snowy1982 fantastic you're on the ball, I'm going to start shopping this week.

Is anyone feeling exhausted, low energy, sleepy? I'm 19 weeks and so tired.

snowy1982 · 29/04/2018 16:33

@gracey88, I didn’t intend to buy this early but I looked at website last week and the order time was 15 weeks so thought I should get moving. Checked today after we ordered and the time frame has gone down again (depending on the colour) so really wasn’t the big rush but sure it’s all sorted now. Also ordered cod bed and drawers for baby’s room, didn’t plan to order those as early but if we spend over a certain amount in one go we got a discount so thought we might as well. Nothing is being delivered until 4 weeks before due date.

I am also still feeling really tired, have notice a minor (very minor) improvement this last week, but am still pretty low energy wise

TheBlindspot · 29/04/2018 16:42

I see a few people have been asking about the FB group - to join just drop me a PM with your name and rough location (just county is fine) and I'll send you the info you need.

sososotired · 29/04/2018 16:50

@Gracey88 I'm still really exhausted and I feel like working is taking it all out of me at the moment! Dreading the summer to be honest from previous experience the heat made it worse!

@snowy1982 it's great to be organised you will feel way more relaxed knowing you have things in place :) I have my next to me crib and bugaboo pushchair sorted, only because my nephew out grew stuff that is being passed along

dinomad · 29/04/2018 17:04

@gracey88 I have suddenly got reslly tired about 5pm the last 2 days which I haven't had up to now. Hoping it's just because we've been busy!! Hope yours goes away too!!!!

Friendsinhighplaces · 29/04/2018 17:06

Hi. If you want to join the fb group then PM TheBlindspot.

niclw · 29/04/2018 17:06

@Gracey88 I'm exhausted as well. I've spent much of the weekend on the sofa as last week at work took all my energy. Had a 3 hour nap yesterday.

missamy94 · 29/04/2018 17:24

@TheBlindspot I don't know how to dm on here Blushany chance you can dm me so I'm able to join the Facebook group please! X

TheBlindspot · 29/04/2018 17:27

@missamy94 You can't DM on the app. You need to log into mumsnet via your internet browser, then you have the option.

amberandblue · 29/04/2018 17:52

@TheBlindspot thank you! I've messaged you now

itallhappensforareason · 29/04/2018 20:13

@snowy we ordered stuff today too! Gone for the Ocarro 6 piece in grey twill, got the sheepskin liner and footmuff too. Also ordered a 3 piece furniture set, mattress, a bedside crib, play mat, bouncer and some bed sheets. Not coming til 13th August - just hope baby isn't early 🙈😂

snowy1982 · 29/04/2018 20:39

@itallhappens, you ordered loads Smile. We ordered the mattress as well. We’ll hold off on ordering anything else until we’ve a bad a look at the stuff my brother has offered us, see if we can save a few quid

SeattleKate · 30/04/2018 08:57

I’m also super tired and sleeping really badly. Ordered a pregnancy pillow so hoping that helps as I think all the extra pillows in the bed were just making it uncomfortable!

We’re holding off buying things until after scan in a couple weeks, also hoping to borrow big things like a cot bed an mattress because we’re moving abroad and planning on buying over there so we don’t have to be cot-less for 6 weeks while we wait for our stuff!

Was very tempted by adorable baby-gros when we went pram-looking though!

itallhappensforareason · 30/04/2018 10:31

@snowy we ended up ordering the mattress with the coconut in it which I really don't think was necessary but hubby was quite taken by it lol. Fab if you can get stuff off your brother!

I'm also sleeping quite badly but then I've never been a great sleeper anyway. My hips are starting to get a bit achey so I might invest in a pregnancy pillow soon as well.

Handed my maternity form into work this morning - it's actually happening!!!

snowy1982 · 30/04/2018 10:45

@itallhappens, coconut??? I didn’t see that one

niclw · 30/04/2018 13:16

I recommend a pregnant pillow. I've slept better nearly every night since getting it. I did a bit of shopping around first but ended up with mothercares £35 one which I think is the cheapest.

Sushirolls · 30/04/2018 13:58

Just checking in, hope everyone is well Flowers xo

itallhappensforareason · 30/04/2018 15:13

@niclw I was just gonna be a cheapskate and get one from ebay for about a tenner lol.

Ktn35 · 30/04/2018 18:19

Pillow is the best thing I have ever bought. Wish I'd got one years ago! We just got one from amazon and it's fine!

I broke and paid for a private scan yesterday - I just couldn't take two more weeks! It was worth it to see the baby projected onto a giant wall like some kind of freakishly cute alien!

Here it is!

Just in case anyone's wondering the picture is a terrible close up if it's head!

niclw · 30/04/2018 18:29

A question for the teachers on here - have your schools advertised your maternity cover yet? I'm a head of dept and I've been up front with them from very early on in my pregnancy but am beginning to get really worried about September. We will have 12 GCSE classes, 1 sixth form class and only 1 teacher. My school keep saying they are going to advertise but haven't. We're in an undesirable location and in special measures so I'd have thought they would want to sort this out ASAP.
