I was actually going to go for sola 2 as it’s cheaper, Ocarro would be my ideal though but have to sensible with the money

itallhappensforareason · 26/04/2018 15:01

We are probably going for the Ocarro 👍 I really liked the sage green colour but think it's more girly than boy-y. Will probably go for either the grey or navy blue now.

We have a personal shopping experience at Mamas and Papas on Sunday. Don't really want to do it but you get a free goodie bag and discount codes so will grit my teeth and bare it.

snowy1982 · 26/04/2018 15:05

I love the sage green, I thought it was pretty gender neutral.

snowy1982 · 26/04/2018 15:09

@itallhappens, do you have to have a personal shopping experience booked or if you just walk in will they still help you out with picking the best pram?

itallhappensforareason · 26/04/2018 15:22

@snowy you have to book if you want a personal shopping experience but they will still help you with finding a pram if you just walk in. We went in last time just to have a look and they showed us a demonstration of the Ocarro and let us take it out to see if it would fit in DH's boot. I'm sure they would be on hand to discuss any product with you to be honest.

I do think you could get away with sage green for a boy but I do see it as more girly, I don't know.... Will have to make a decision on Sunday!

snowy1982 · 26/04/2018 15:25

I like the navy as well Smile

deste · 26/04/2018 17:40

Snowy1982 we bought the Sola 2, did get a good price from Very but had to send it back because it was too high and you could only adjust it a bit by swivelling the handle down. She also felt she was quite far from the baby. Apart from that it was very nice and sturdy and as you say good value. If you are tall you will be fine.

Katjolo · 26/04/2018 17:42

This thread has inspired me to look at prams now too. Off to the mamas and papas website I go lol

SeattleKate · 26/04/2018 18:22

We sort of landed on the Cameleon 3 because of the height issue, I’m only 5’1”. We tried a couple Uppababy ones but the push bar was too high even at the lowest setting and lifting the carry cot off with a baby in it was uncomfortable because of how high the carry cot handle is on those.

I asked some colleagues at work though and no one else seemed to notice so I think I am just short with short arms!

dinomad · 26/04/2018 19:02

@SeattleKate ahhh well thats good to know, at least we know it's def the baby then :) it is see a different feeling to anything else. mines been very active today at work!! Maybe it didn't like me sitting down all day :)

Squiffy01 · 26/04/2018 20:00

I think I’ve been feeling mine today but not quite sure.

I’m looking at the bugaboo camelon. Not buying anything until after 20 weeks though.

snowy1982 · 26/04/2018 20:36

@deste I’m only 5 2”, think I’m going to have problems then Sad

deste · 26/04/2018 21:26

My DD is 5’2”. The distance from the handle to where the the baby sits was really far back and if she had to get near the baby she would have to go round the side if the pram if you know what I mean.

niclw · 26/04/2018 21:52

Got my 2nd attempt date for scan today. Mixed feelings about it as I have to wait another two weeks to check that everything else is ok. But on the plus side I get to see baby again. Another 4pm appt though so have got to hope they can check everything this time as they finish working at 5 so baby needs to be behaving.

snowy1982 · 27/04/2018 07:00

@niclw, good luck today hope it all goes well and baby is cooperating

@deste, thanks for the warning, I will definitely be on the look out for arm length issues on Sunday

Squiffy01 · 27/04/2018 07:40

I’ve never found bar hight/ getting to baby a problem, cause even being tall I just automatically go to the side to pick them up get them out as it’s jsur awkward going in from the front.

I’m getting so breathless going up steps it’s ridiculous!

snowy1982 · 27/04/2018 07:50

@Squiffy01, I’m not getting breathless in stairs but am really getting breathless walking the dogs, poor pups are having to go a lot slower than their used to

PinkyPromise77 · 27/04/2018 09:27

Sorry all I have been a bit quiet recently but mostly posting on our Facebook Group :) We are in the 20 week scan times hope all scans are going well :D How is everyone feeling? x

@snowy1982 Turns our I typed the wrong thing last night. I was tired after parents evening. I received a letter with the new date yesterday but don't actually have it until the 9th. They told me it would be this week so not happy that I have to wait 2 weeks.

itallhappensforareason · 27/04/2018 10:53

@squiffy I was at the hospital this morning to get a home BP monitor and decided to walk up the stairs as the lifts were taking ages. Walked from ground floor to second floor which involved 4 sets of about 20 steps and I was so out of breath 😂 I had to take a moment in the corridor before I went in as I couldn't breathe!!!

missamy94 · 27/04/2018 11:15

@PinkyPromise77 how can I get on the Facebook group please?

niclw · 27/04/2018 11:24

@Squiffy01 I'm finding I'm breathless too. Just walked up to second floor from ground and couldn't speak by the time I got there. I've noticed that sometimes I'm breathless just getting up and walking to the other end of the room though which I'm sure isn't quite right.

Gracey88 · 27/04/2018 12:31

How do I get on the Facebook group?

SeattleKate · 27/04/2018 12:55

www.childbirthconnection.org/healthy-pregnancy/your-body-throughout-pregnancy.html

I found this useful in understanding the changes and things like breathlessness. There just isn’t enough room for everything!!

sososotired · 27/04/2018 16:24

Can I please have a link to the Facebook page?
