Sounds similar to my plan @itallhappens, I plan to be back 2 days a week in Jan, 3 days in Feb and 4 in March and that will be me on a 4 day week going forward.

I’ve read the same things re using a bottle, I don’t know what I’ll do if it is an issue as I will not be able to BF from the breast exclusively, I guess if it comes to it I would have to switch to formula

feelinggoodinspring · 17/04/2018 18:22

Baby kicked my hand this evening! I could feel her wriggling around and then I put my hand on my belly and she kicked it. She's calmed down now haha.

niclw · 17/04/2018 18:35

I’ve just got home and found that I’ve popped out loads during today but not felt baby move at all. Probably as I've barely stopped all day. Hopefully he/she will be active later. Last night baby kept moving around for about 10 mins as if it was trying to get comfy.

Squiffy01 · 17/04/2018 21:20

There is so much stuff to by isn’t there.
I have all that stuff on my list but don’t want to go out and buy it all straight away in case breast feeding doesn’t work out for whatever reason.
I think the electric pumps are faster just because you aren’t having to squeeze and get tired etc. As far as I know you get about the same amount of milk out as you are going from full to empty breast.

charlotte I’m hoping to be able to go back to work with mine, still in discussions but that is the master plan anyway.

Still haven’t felt any proper movements. Thinking more and more that Saturdays possible movement was wind as haven’t felt anything yet.

Has everyone got there pillows yet? I still haven’t but feel I should get one soon to try and stop me waking up on my back so often. I can’t believe I’m 5 days I will be half way.

Gracey88 · 18/04/2018 10:00

@EllMae I'm due on the same day as you and work in compliance in Birmingham but live in West Bromwich, what a coincidence, how are you feeling? I haven't popped yet just a chubby belly lol

Gracey88 · 18/04/2018 10:03

Morning guys with maternity I'm going to take the full year and I'm going to use 3 weeks annual leave to start it off and have my maternity leave start on baby's due date. I've managed to save most of my annual leave as it's my first baby and not sure how I'll be feeling at 8 months.

snowy1982 · 18/04/2018 10:35

@Gracey88, am so jealous of your full year off!!! I would love to take longer but my job isn’t one that I can leave for that long without losing a lot of my clients Sad. In all likelihood I will be working from home before I am officially back. I have been promised I can completely turn off my emails for the first couple months though so I am happy with that

EllMae · 18/04/2018 10:42

@Gracey88 How funny! I live Tamworth way but come in on the train. I'm feeling okay actually, the only time I feel rubbish is on the train in the morning when it's really busy.. otherwise I am fine :) How are you feeling? My belly has popped over the last week and I think people can now tell but are being polite!! I am thinking of taking 7-9 months off with baby :) Have you started buying anything yet?! x

itallhappensforareason · 18/04/2018 17:16

Has the heat today just absolutely taken it out of everyone or is it just me? I finished work early today, been vegged out on the sofa since 2.30pm trying not to fall asleep 😪😪

snowy1982 · 18/04/2018 17:47

I’m in NI, it hasn’t been that warm here Sad which is actually a good thing as I have that much work to do for tomorrow I actually momentarily considered sleeping in the office, couldn’t cope with work and extreme heat

niclw · 18/04/2018 18:15

I've not found it too bad today as I had a few free lessons so my room had a chance to cool down. I'm dreading tomorrow - teaching every lesson with classes of 30, the heating on and the sun shining in the windows while wearing a cardigan to hide my bump. I'm sure I will survive though.

surreygirl1987 · 18/04/2018 19:22

@EllMae Ransom but I'm from Tamworth and my parents still live there :)

sososotired · 18/04/2018 19:29

@niclw your lucky that you can still hide your bump! Mine is very much out now at school pick up for my son all the mums look at me going wow you've sprouted! Hmm

niclw · 18/04/2018 20:05

@sososotired I'm very thankful that I have a very baggy fat face cardigan that can cover up my bump. The staff have commented on my bump but I'm not hiding it from them just the students.

snowy1982 · 19/04/2018 06:59

So my hormones have kicked in big time and I have done nothing but cry the last 24hrs (slight exaggeration there). Cried murmurous times in work yesterday, due to stress, frustration at things not going right, when I finally got home and into the shower I just stood and cried. Then this morning I couldn’t find anything I liked to wear to work (not normally overly bothered by that but have a big meeting today) so I cried again. Then went to put on a necklace and I couldn’t work clasp so that set off another wave of tears. Panicking now that I will cry in my meeting.

Doesn’t help that I’m having pains this morning, think it’s just normal stretching pains but their a little bit stronger than normal so that worries me a bit

niclw · 19/04/2018 10:02

@snowy1982 I had some very painful stretching on Monday and Tuesday morning at the bottom of my rib cage. I then popped out in exactly that place Tuesday afternoon. So very likely to be stretching to create more room for baby.

Gracey88 · 19/04/2018 10:54

@snowy1982 I'm glad you can get a few months off and working from home is such a good option you'll be able to comfortably get back into the swing of things

Gracey88 · 19/04/2018 10:57

@EllMae your so lucky you've popped and yeah I think most people want to be certain before commenting I remember how horrible I felt when I offered a lady a seat and it turned out she wasn't pregnant. I'm feeling okay too just some tiredness here and there. I've not bought anything yet I'm going to go to wait till after my 20 week scan. How about you?

Gracey88 · 19/04/2018 11:03

@snowy1982 aww I feel your pain I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday because we got delayed getting home and I had to be up well and my DH was no help at all. Have you had any advice on what could help you relax or feel more like you?

niclw · 19/04/2018 12:09

I'm so lightheaded today. I'm really struggling and have spent much of the day sitting and trying not to stand up. Finding it a challenge though. Am looking forward to 3pm so I can go home.

Mississippilessly · 19/04/2018 12:27

I tried to fit into my pre-pregnancy dungarees today. They fit - just, but I have realised I am going to need some more summer stuff (unless I just get a sheet and cut a hole in it for my head and be done with it...)

I've gone through my wardrobe and vac-packed everything that is justness going to happen anymore!!! I've had some bargains from eBay for mat clothes.

snowy1982 · 19/04/2018 12:37

@mississippilessly I have bought a few mat things, 2 dresses in next sale cos it was a bargain and a few t shirts and leggings etc from Asda as someone recommended them for yoga, apart from that I am waiting until I get (fingers crossed) the all clear at my scan on Monday to buy stuff. I did start to make a list today of what I need.

snowy1982 · 19/04/2018 12:38

@niclw, that’s not good, have had the lighthead etc myself from time to time and it’s not nice

snowy1982 · 19/04/2018 12:40

@gracey88 I am just going to go with it, work stress should calm down (to normal stress levels at least) in the next week or so, and I think the hormonal outbursts are just something we preggers ones have to deal with.

Messaged DH earlier to let him know how lucky he is to have been out of the country when it hit

Mississippilessly · 19/04/2018 13:07

snowy yeah clothes are the only thing I have bought - I'm not buying anything else until my scan next week
