@snowy1982 so do I since week 16, noticed today that the upper bit of my belly grows too so it looks a little more round but who knows, it might be due to my visit to China Town last nightGrin

niclw · 10/04/2018 12:48

@PinkyPromise77 Congratulations on your baby boy.

@snowy1982 I'm not finding out either. My scan is two weeks today so not long till I see my baby wriggling around. I've not got s bump either but definitely look like I've put on weight. I'm beginning to find that my usual leggings and tights are feeling uncomfortable against my belly so am thinking it won't be long.

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 13:13

@niclw @snowy1982 I'm not finding out either Smile it can feel quite tempting some days though but I'm determined that I am sticking to it!

snowy1982 · 10/04/2018 13:32

Yea, I’m not the only one Smile

snowy1982 · 10/04/2018 13:37

@niclw, mine was 2 weeks yesterday so we can count down together

niclw · 10/04/2018 14:16

@snowy1982 Two weeks seems like such a long time doesn't it? My last scan was at 8.40am as well so I didn't have to wait all day but this time it's not till 4pm.

niclw · 10/04/2018 14:20

@Charlotte2101 Three of us for September surprises then Smile. Like you I keep getting tempted to find out particularly as nearly all baby clothes are pink and blue however I'm sticking to not knowing. My mum might be coming with me if she can swap work hours. She wants to know do I'm hoping she can't swap so she doesn't try to badger me into it.

snowy1982 · 10/04/2018 14:32

Thankfully DH is happy enough for it to be a surprise so no one badgering me Smile. I really think this is going to be my only baby so I definitely want it to be a surprise, also it’s something to help keep me going during labour

snowy1982 · 10/04/2018 14:32

@niclw, mines at 12, wish it was earlier

sososotired · 10/04/2018 14:37

I know I'm a little late but would love to join the thread I'm 16+ 3 today baby is due on 22/9 which happened to be DH's birthday!

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 15:31

@niclw it's the clothes that make me tempted, I think the majority must find out these days because the selection of unisex clothes is so limited in comparison.
Fingers crossed she can't go (as awful as that sounds) I'm going to mention that I don't want to know straight away, I think if I get asked the question it could make me cave.

My mum really doesn't want to know but OH pesters all the time to find out (he's convinced boy which I was too for ages now something is making me lean girl) do you have any inkling? Xx

niclw · 10/04/2018 15:39

@Charlotte2101 I've been convinced it's a boy since quite early on but I don't mind either way. I've managed to get two green baby gros from John Lewis but I think everything will probably be white till after it's born.

snowy1982 · 10/04/2018 15:46

I’m convinced boy as well, I don’t know why I just have a notion, although my notions never seem to pan out so it’s probably a girl Smile

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 16:04

@snowy1982 agree snowy I'm sure itl help through labour as we will be so desperate to know by that stage. My midwife said she worked on the labour ward for almost 30 years and she said it seemed to help some mums get through it.

Can completely see why it would be helpful to know though so each to their own, I just always imagined waiting to find out xx

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 16:08

@snowy1982 @niclw

Have you thought of names? there's a saying that it'll be the gender that you've not fully decided on haha.

I managed to get some white and grey things, I find a lot of the unisex clothes are still quite girly so it is a struggle. Trying to not buy too much or too far ahead age wise so that once baby is here we can go and buy some bits :)

DariaG · 10/04/2018 16:26

@sososotired 22/9 will always be a special day for me - my dad's birthday, he was my absolute favourite person! Do you know the gender yet??

DariaG · 10/04/2018 16:31

I think I'm going to have a girl and I'm very curious to find out whether I'm right or wrong @Charlotte2101 In my case the name theory would work if it's a girl, we have agreed with DH on boy's name ages ago and no idea what we could possibly call a baby girl, it seems we can't agree on anything!Blush do you have a name in mind?

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 16:37

@DariaG I'm the same as you we've had our boy name set from the start but can't fully decide on a girl name.
OH joked he wouldn't even discuss girls names it as it will definitely be a boy!

I was so sure that it would be a boy but I switched my mind a couple of weeks ago to consider girl now I'm not so sure.

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 16:39

@DariaG our boy name is Theodore, Theo for short.
Girls name at the moment is Millie (needs to go with McBride and I think this has a good ring to it) but I can't imagine Millie very well as an adult name?! How about you? Xx

AyeAyeFishyPie · 10/04/2018 16:43

Hi everyone! Due Sept 4th, still having nausea on and off and food cravings come and go. We have our 20 week scan at 21 weeks - we aren't going to find out the sex, we want a surprise but I am absolutely sure it's a girl!
How is everyone doing bump wise? I look quite big - it has suddenly got bigger!

sososotired · 10/04/2018 16:46

@DariaG no idea on gender yet but we have our anomaly scan on the 3 of May so will be finding out then! 22 is DH's Birthday aswell as my nephew, my goddaughter and my cousin so will be crazy if this baby arrives then! But saying that it's my mums birthday on the 24th and mine on the 26th so either way September is going to be manic! Wink

sososotired · 10/04/2018 16:50

@AyeAyeFishyPie I'm with you on the nausea I'm still battling morning sickness I spoke to the midwife about it and she just said oh eat bland food!

snowy1982 · 10/04/2018 16:53

We have settled on our girls name and almost settled on bus. That’s why I initially said we would have a boy cause for ages we couldn’t think of any boys names, we now have 2 on the shortlist

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 16:58

@AyeAyeFishyPie what makes you think girl and what cravings have you had?

I've been very lucky nausea wise, been sick just once and not had many waves of feeling sick. My issue has been more dizziness when stood up for a while. I've not really had cravings as such but eating more crisps (especially salt and vinegar flavour ones or anything that's strong flavoured) and sour sweets... I know not very healthy!!

I'm due on 31st August (but so sure that it will be September) I've got my scan on Monday, I'l be 20+3 and we are also having a surprise.

Charlotte2101 · 10/04/2018 17:00

@AyeAyeFishyPie definitely have more of a bump in the past week of so. It looks more defined now rather than eating too many crisps and sweets (which is also true of course!) xx
