Anyone else due in November? Only 5 weeks along with first, super nervous, super excited! Rung GP but they just seem to have left me to it? Is this normal? They just asked my last period and they’d send a letter out... what happens now? What symptoms is everyone feeling at this stage? Any advice?

You know what I thought I’d got away with clock change issue but last two nights he’s only been in bed a couple of hour and he’s waking up and won’t go back down 😭 so I’m thinking it must be that as it’s too light out when he goes down 😩 can only try again tonight I guess! Oh and mine hides dummies I’ll take one off him and he’ll pluck another out of nowhere and I’m like wtf 😂😂 I’m just rolling with it at min take it day by day as long as they’re happy I let him do as he pleases that’s all that matters 😊

Jennyz123 · 01/04/2020 09:44

Yep that sounds very familiar with the dummy stashes 😂 they are so tricky at this stage but also hilarious. It took us an hour 20 to settle Beth last night- then she woke after an hour and wouldn't resettle without a bottle 😣 let's hope they get used to the clock change soon!!

StrawberryPeach · 01/04/2020 10:24

Yep same! Mine took around an hour to settle, bottle downstairs then upto bed at 7pm don’t think he went to sleep until around 8:10 then up again at 12 all in a stress tried to settle him wasn’t having any of it, was up until 2am then up again at 6 😭😭 just putting him down for a nap now wonder why he’s tired so early 🙄😩😂 lets see what tonight brings!

Jennyz123 · 01/04/2020 20:07

Yep sounds very similar! Tried putting her down later tonight (about 7 45) - thought she'd pulled it off for a whole minute but she's squiggling like crazy again now... come on kid mummy wants to eat! 😂 hope you get a more settled night, got everything crossed for you!

StrawberryPeach · 02/04/2020 06:14

Urrrgh he must of been up at least 5 times last night, I am shattered. The joys of parenthood. I just left him to cry it out a couple of times only for a few mins before he settled himself, he stayed in the cot so that’s an improvement 😂😂 how’d your night go? And how are we still having sleepless nights with 16 month olds 😂😭

Jennyz123 · 02/04/2020 06:56

Well the good news is she settled herself at bedtime for the first time since the clock change instead of taking an hour plus of me alternating rocking her and her flailing like an angry octopus/leaving her to it! So very happy with that. In less good news she woke at 1 30, wouldn't resettle without a bottle- and has now been randomly yelling every 45 minutes since about 4 😣. I've left her to it now as well, it never developed into full blown crying again thank goodness but oof I'm tired 😴. So yeah bit of a mixed bag!! I know I really feel like we should surely be entitled to a decent night's sleep by this point 😂! I think I read somewhere that 16 months is peak teething so could be that, my little one is definitely working on her 3rd molar and I think maybe a couple at the front as well either side of the bottom two. According to the wonder weeks app they're going through the last developmental leap as well which would also explain the crazy tantrums. Plus lockdown change of routine plus the bloody clocks changing - I think we might be screwed! 😂😂😂 or as my husband would say when I spend ages analysing her - it's 'because baby!' Probably also got a point!! Aw man, let's hope they get over this phase soon whatever's going on. Hope you've got lots of coffee in the house 😂!

StrawberryPeach · 02/04/2020 11:41

We had the random yelling too! Not even crying just sat down shouting in his cot 😂 would of loved to know what he was thinking at that point 😂 yes everything certainly happens at once it will all be affecting them I don’t think they like change! We’ve just been for our daily walk with the reins on now he’s down for a nap I’m sure he’ll be up soon for his dinner 😂

Jennyz123 · 02/04/2020 20:22

The random yelling is so weird! Beth has been having mammoth naps the last couple of days, I'm wondering if that isn't helping with the night time sleep - but I just can't bring myself to wake her! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞we both get a decent night tonight...

StrawberryPeach · 02/04/2020 21:11

3 hours mine slept today on his nap 😂 I’m same I thought this won’t help but he was soooo quiet and peaceful and I actually had a HOT cup of tea! Fingers toes and everything else crossed for a full nights sleep 😬😊

Jennyz123 · 03/04/2020 06:42

Yup 3 hours naps here yesterday and the day before- we definitely have twins 😂 she was up every half hour from 11 - 12 30 - soon as I closed my eyes basically she was screeching again. I do wonder if it is teeth because the screaming was so full on last night... but I've been giving her nurofen before bed 😢 at least we've only had another random yell now rather than every half hour from 4... hope you had a better night!

StrawberryPeach · 03/04/2020 07:30

Good Morning! Glad to hear your night was a little better, we had lots of grumbling last night around 10:30 then a big whinge at midnight then to be honest that’s all I heard 😂 I was gone last night, he must of been shuffling around a lot as the monitor kept lighting up! We’ve got to brave the supermarket tonight 😬😬 have been trying to put it off for as long as possible 😩

Jennyz123 · 03/04/2020 09:08

Hey that's great!! Way to go kiddo! My husband went to Sainsbury's for us yesterday at 3 - got everything on our list, even toilet roll! I think limiting people seems to have been working, you might be pleasantly surprised 🤞🤞🤞

StrawberryPeach · 03/04/2020 13:54

Oooh that sounds promising! I’ve been putting it off for so long but now we’re running out of stuff so I’ve deffo got to go 😩 actually dreading it though! Plastic gloves at the ready 😂😂

Jennyz123 · 04/04/2020 13:26

Well did you survive the supermarket?? Hope you got everything you needed! We had actually had a sleep through last night, in total shock! Still had random yells but settled herself. 🤞🤞🤞it carries on! Hope you had a good night.

StrawberryPeach · 04/04/2020 15:10

Yeahhh! 😂😂 you were right they had everything! The toilet roll isle was fully stocked I was like wowww I’ve not seen that for weeks 😂 same here 8pm-6:30am whooo whooo I think we’ve cracked it! Hooray to us 👏🏼😊

Jennyz123 · 04/04/2020 19:13

Wow amazing!! Bet you never thought you'd be so excited to see toilet roll! 😂 such a relief isn't it, the shops have done an amazing job to turn it around.
