becklespeckledfrog · 21/06/2007 12:09

Sending lots of boring, sticky, dull pg vibes your way hun x

PurpleLostPrincess · 21/06/2007 12:10

lissie, I too am all emotional for you, what fantastic news, we're all so pleased for you! Hope things so really smoothly for you and we're here for when you need to vent, especially through those first few daunting weeks!

daisyboo · 21/06/2007 13:46

Just a quick hello to say many congratualtions to Lissie....fingers crossed that this works out for you....boring non-eventful dull pg vibes coming your way!

Went shopping today and after 2.5 hours in Leeds city centre I felt like I was dying. Poor DH had to bring me home and then go back into town as he hadn't done any of his shopping yet. Maybe I overdid it a little bit .

Will catch up again soon.

Love to all xxx

Ooh Daisy, let your DH look after you a bit more!
Firststar, I too carried a lot of fluid all over with my boys, particularly on my legs! Already seem to have slightly swollen ankles this time. Am quite concerned that this bub will be even bigger than the last 2 as I am not a large lass! I am fairly convinced I will have another boy although saying that, I am sure my bump is smaller so far than with either DS.

Woooozle100 · 21/06/2007 15:20

quick hello to everyone. Hello, welcome, nice to have you here Lissie. Wishing you all the best for dull uneventful pg

DS1 was 9lbs 1/2oz and DS2 was 9lbs 4oz.

I know they are not humungous but I am just under 4'4" and fairly small framed (good hips though ). My husband is very tall and well built though and my babies like to be late (just like their Mummy!)

becklespeckle · 21/06/2007 16:49

I meant just under 5'4" - sorry!

Water can hide a lot Firststar! I think we all carry different amounts. I was enormous with both boys - by 6 months people were asking if I was nearly due yet and when I said no asking if it was twins!

becklespeckle · 21/06/2007 16:53

blame my pg brain for the height mix up!

Imagine if I were that short and had a 9lb baby! That would also make my DH nearly 2 1/2 foot taller than me!!! hehehe!

hehe! am sure it is water! I think the main reason I get so big is that I am quite short in the body so baby has nowhere to go but outwards!

BellaBear · 21/06/2007 17:19

thanks everyone for your advice!

Hi Scorpio!

Am taking as much time to just do nothing as possible, which means I am not being a Good Teacher, but you know what? I don't care! (Which is odd but welcome). Four weeks and one day to go before I can do nothing all day for six weeks (and hopefully after that I'll feel a lot better)

plummymummy · 21/06/2007 18:48

Wow beckle - I am 5ft 10 and thought ds was huge at 91b 3 Did you find them heavy to carry? My friend is your height and had big babies (though not as big as yours) and I remember a day when I went to meet her and when I saw her carrying her ds I thought she was going to topple over from the weight/length of him. He was about 3 months old but huge (was a bit of a guzzler). Ds had a lovely birthday thanks. Have a lot of prep to do for his party on saturday. Hope the weather holds out as it will be much easier to have the party in the garden due to sheer volume of people coming.

Daisy - congrats on your beautiful boy

Lissie - Congrats hun Keeping everything crossed for you.

Any more ideas on a new thread name as we approach it?

plummymummy · 21/06/2007 23:52
