If we can't be positive about the weather what can we be? Grin

I'm 16w, have had 5 or 6 scans already and did an OPK the other day. I have no idea what I thought I'd find out from it. See a stick, piss on it 🙄

Snorebrown · 20/03/2018 12:21

:0) kiri

keepinghopeful · 20/03/2018 12:22

@kirinm i actually LOL'd at your poas comment!!

Smurf123 · 20/03/2018 13:31

Anne I'm sure it doesn't help a lot but I posted about a similar sounding experience I had during this pregnancy... Discharge that immediately had me thinking the worst.. As it turned out it was a small amount and very much a one off.. It didn't happen again (although didn't stop me panicking every day until my next scan) I got lots of reassuring comments on here at the time that helped me through.. For me it wasn't anything, never did find it what or why.. But im currently sat feeding my now 2 week old. I hope things go well for you Thanks

BertieBotts · 20/03/2018 13:42

They've literally just come in as I was checking the new tab of their site so I expect soon :)

kiri that is hilarious! i think we will always be like that....must pee on anything!

smurf congrats on your baby! I'm new to coming over to this group but I'm sure i remember your name form the other ttc group. so nice to hear that all went well for you, enjoy the newborn snuggles x

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/03/2018 14:53

Bless you @Smurf123, that's so kind of you, thank you. It does help! Happy to say the panic is over and I feel slightly ashamed of freaking out, I also feel awful for having scared the bejesus of out of poor DH. But as always, so grateful for the wisdom and reassurance, not to say tolerance and patience, of you lot.

I'm over the moon to hear you have your baby in your arms. You've always been so kind on threads we've been on Flowers

keeponrunning85 · 20/03/2018 19:07

Anne I'm glad you found phoning EPU helpful in a roundabout way, but I can't believe she asked you what you were worrying about! Surely that was obvious!

Congrats on your little one's arrival Smurf!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 20/03/2018 19:51

So after my sobbing down the phone to DH before work today (we can't do a scan this week so we've arranged one for next Thursday (after my birthday because hell no am I doing it before) with my parents) - and getting my manager to drive me home as I was sick and ill - been a great day - I have what I think is a strong hb on my doppler. I know I should take it with a pinch of salt and I shouldn't have really got it in the first place but there we go. I really hope it's ok in there. It will only be 2 weeks since our last scan from our next one but I have a massive fear that baby will just stop growing and it'll be yet another mmc and fuck when does this anxiety end?

I have my dating scan on the 6th and I'm so fucking close, only a couple of weeks away. I'm having such a wobble.

Flatwhite32 · 20/03/2018 22:00

@UnicornsandRainbows1 how you're feeling is totally normal. There is always anxiety. I'm 22 weeks and slipped badly on the ice yesterday morning. I couldn't stop crying. Thankfully all seems ok, but the worry never leaves! Once you start to feel movements things are a bit more reassuring, but then again I still sorry if I feel her a bit less some days than others and start to worry. Just be careful with the Doppler, and don't mention it to a midwife!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 20/03/2018 22:54

@Flatwhite32 No I won't. They're very unreliable to how things actually are anyway. If only I had a window to my uterus Grin

Oh that's scary! Glad everything is okay. I think I'll be calmer once there are movements (she says). This section of having absolutely nothing to go off of is a nightmare

kirinm · 21/03/2018 16:00

Spent last night in hospital due to more bleeding but this time there was a huge amount of it. Baby is still doing okay but they're not entirely sure what is causing the bleeding. Ended up being sent to have a colposcopy as I think they were concerned there might be abnormal cells contributing but the doctor said my cervix looks good.

I'm very relieved baby is okay. Not sure how I'm feeling really.

MsJuniper · 21/03/2018 16:14

Oh no @kirinm how awful for you. Great that the baby is ok but must have been very traumatic. I hope you can get an answer. I know anecdotes are only so much use but I do know someone who bled heavily throughout pregnancy (unexplained) and all was ok. I hope it's the same for you.

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/03/2018 18:17

God that sounds awful @kirinm, you poor thing. Have you had pain? I can’t imagine how you’ve been holding it together, sending you a hug. Have you got people looking after you? Look after yourself Flowers

BertieBotts · 21/03/2018 21:33

Oh no, how worrying kirin!

kirinm · 21/03/2018 22:19

Thanks. Yesterday's bleed was the worst I've had so far. I just get the sense it'll happen again so I don't think I'll ever not feel on edge. I am really happy to be pregnant but this anxiety was not what I was expecting. I did get to listen to baby's heartbeat this morning which was great. I'm relieved this all seems to be happening away from the baby.

keeponrunning85 · 22/03/2018 08:12

Oh kirin, that must have been terrifying. I'm glad all was well with the baby and I hope you've had a settled night.

intelligentPutty · 22/03/2018 09:37

Oh @kirinm that must have been terrifying. So pleased u were able to hear the heartbeat. Must be such a relief. How many weeks are u?

I've got scan later today. Feeling numb. So scared what will be there. Off to have a shower and keep busy.
X

kirinm · 22/03/2018 09:41

Just over 16w now. If I could fast forward to 25+ weeks that would at least mean the baby has a fighting chance if the bleeding does cause problems. For now it doesn't appear like it has though. I'm going to mention it to my midwife but there doesn't seem to be much they can do.

Good luck for your scan. Fingers tightly crossed for you. Gearing up for a scan is so frightening.

intelligentPutty · 22/03/2018 10:08

Oh if only there was a fast forward button!! Smile
I'll keep everything crossed for you. X

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/03/2018 11:05

Thinking of you today @intelligentPutty so hope it all goes really well. What time are you in?

intelligentPutty · 22/03/2018 11:07

11:45. Just about to leave home.
Thank you.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/03/2018 11:14

Holding your hand Flowers

I got several fits of hysterics before I had mine last week. I felt absolutely nothing all morning, just kept my head down and worked my arse off. Then on the way over there I could feel manic chuckles bubbling up Blush

And then, as soon as we saw the tiny flicker, I started crying with the epic sense of relief, and didn't stop for about half an hour. It's a rollercoaster!

intelligentPutty · 22/03/2018 12:44

So there is a baby and it's measuring 5 weeks. With a heartbeat. Back in 2 weeks. I just have to keep everything crossed now.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/03/2018 13:05

Wonderful news! So pleased and relieved for you. How are you feeling now?
