@Scoobysue10 your 20 week scan is the day after mine 🙂

Ktn35 · 28/02/2018 08:44

Snow day! School closed and I've never been so pleased! Makes up for all the vomiting a bit! Apologies if your kids are off school but this is sweet!!! 😂

Helen290 · 28/02/2018 09:54

Anyone else getting headaches? My nausea is worse and now this I thought I should be feeling better now! I'm nearly 14 weeks 😔.

niclw · 28/02/2018 09:57

@Ktn35 Enjoy your snow day. I've got one too.

Ktn35 · 28/02/2018 10:24

Yey for snow days! It's the first day I've felt normal in weeks too!

RedRobin7 · 28/02/2018 10:47

@Ktn35 Lucky you having a snow day! I'm supposed to be in the office today but my road is an ice rink and my husband (who is away!) said I'm not to leave the house. My manager doesn't work in my office so I've not told anyone I'm working from home. I feel so naughty but I'm actually so so busy so if anyone realises then they can see from my emails I've been working! Maybe I have more rights now I'm pregnant and should be allowed to stay in the safety of my own home but I've only told my manager and not HR. My manager is a cow and would expect me in, hence I've not told her!

Scoobysue10 · 28/02/2018 12:41

I have a day off today but kids have a snow day.
Have made good use of them sent them to the chip shop lol.
Helen 290. I can't wait. Really want to know what i'm having but I do think a girl. It being Friday 13th it will probably be unclear lol.
Had a phone call they couldn't test my screening bloods for downs as my blood was clotted. Have to go back by the wkend to do another blood test. Hope we don't get any more snow.

Scan day today, had awful dreams last night that news wasn’t good, up now with no chance of getting more sleep trying to calm down a very unsettled dog (he is mad at me as I won’t let him out into the freezing blizzard outside)

niclw · 01/03/2018 05:38

@snowy1982 Good luck with your scan. Enjoy it x

snowy1982 · 01/03/2018 06:52

Snow really ramping up here so hoping it doesn’t affect appointment

PinkyPromise77 · 01/03/2018 08:14

Good luck today with your appointment @Snowy! I think the dreams are just because you re worried but hope all is ok. Fingers crossed x

Been sent home from work. Had meltdown as was so stressed by the hour drive to get there in bad conditions and it's getting worse. Am so glad that I'm now on sofa x

snowy1982 · 01/03/2018 13:20

Scan went well, everything as it should be, although clinic was running an hour behind and about 10 mins before I ended up being called I couldn’t hold it anymore and had to go to toilet. I downed a bottle of water straight after, but bladder just wasn’t full enough and picture was very grainy. Baby was very active (a big fan of the headstand)

snowy1982 · 01/03/2018 13:21

When we finally got baby to calm down

Congratulations. Glad it went well for you x

missamy94 · 01/03/2018 14:45

I got my appointment for my 12 week scan yesterday, I've also got an appointment to see the consultant straight after? This is my first baby so it's not like I've have previous complications, does anyone have any idea what it could be for?

snowy1982 · 01/03/2018 15:28

@missamy94, that was exactly how mine was today, I had scan, booking in with mid wife then appointment with consultant who just confirmed I was low risk and unless some complications arose I wouldn’t need to be seeing him again. They were initially going to have me consultant due to being a fertility patient (although they decided that wasn’t actually necessary) but they only learnt I was a fertility patient when I told them during scan so that wasn’t the reason why I was given an apppointment with the consultant originally. I think maybe some trusts just do it initially to cover all basis and then refine your care plan based on what they find out at these initial appointments

AnnaLuna · 01/03/2018 16:49

Scoobysue10 and Helen290, my 20 week scan is on Friday 13th of April too and I am 13.6 today.
The sonographer asked me if I didn’t mind booking my scan on Friday 13th. Grin

Zoey36 · 01/03/2018 17:19

My 20 week is Friday 13th too! They had lots of slots available then haha!

PinkyPromise77 · 02/03/2018 07:37

My 12 week scan is today at 8:30am... super nervous....

Good luck @pinkypromise

Helen290 · 02/03/2018 09:05

@AnnaLuna I am 13 + 6 too we must have the same dates I didn't want the 13th lol so went for the 12th 😂

niclw · 02/03/2018 12:48

I've just seen that toys r us have 25% off in their closing down sale. Once everything is gone the shop will close. Would it be crazy to go and see if I can get some baby bits and pieces? Nothing big or expensive I'm thinking just small bits. I hadn't planned on buying anything until 20+ weeks and I'm only 12 weeks today and my scan isn't till next week.

Scoobysue10 · 02/03/2018 17:17

I did check with my partner if he was ok my scan being on Friday 13th he said it was ok.
I really can't wait to find out the sex but just having a feeling being that date the baby will not cooperate lol

PinkyPromise77 · 02/03/2018 17:55

So the scan went well... I'm slightly relieved :) measuring exactly same as following the private scan so I guess all good... anti sickness tablets are working too which has been a relief yesterday and today. Although still ridiculously exhausted but I will take that over puking all the time :)
