I have been taking 3 antisickness tablets daily.
Only ended up taking 2 yesterday as forgot to take the last one and I survived lol.
Was worried I would feel sick in the night. But I was ok. Dr did say to try and cut down to 2 this wk. So hopefully it'should a good sign the sickness is going.
2 more days till my 12 wk scan. Really can't wait but also worried something will be wrong.

snowy1982 · 21/02/2018 06:16

@scoobysue10, that sounds promising about the sickness and exciting about the scan.

I had a bad afternoon, was working out a clients in the middle of nowhere, left a bit early as I was feeling very nauseous and constipation has flared up again so am in agony with bloat. Driving home and hit a pothole and ruined my tyre, had to wait for recovery vehicle and all that. Took me 4 hours to get home Sad

PinkyPromise77 · 21/02/2018 10:06

Good news about sickness @scoobysue! And good luck for the scan my lovely!

@Snowy... gosh that sounds like a nightmare... how are you feeling today?

Snowy1982.
Just glad your ok. But sod that 4hrs to get home.

Well I am 12wkso +4 today and went to bed with a flat stomachas and woke with a little baby bump. Love it.

CJ1990 · 21/02/2018 11:00

I’m the same - scan on Friday and excited / really nervous at the same
Time! Google doesn’t help..!

snowy1982 · 21/02/2018 11:12

@Pinkypromise and @scoobysue10 i’m still suffering from awful nausea and bloat today but it’s slightly improved on yesterday. Went this morning to get other tyre fixed as it was damaged yesterday as well. It was still drivable but am on the road a lot for work at the minute and wanted to make sure my tyres are 100%.

Jealous of your bump @scoobysue10, i’m just getting wider no bump to speak of.

Am a bit annoyed at my figure at the minute, I lost a LOT of weight a few years back and had been keeping my weight fairly well under control and was quite happy with it, then the fertility treatments started and I the hormones seemed to make me gain weight (then when the treatments failed I would comfort eat as well) so my weight was creeping up again already and I know it’s gonna get bad during pregnancy. When I first got BFP I went on a healthy eating kick and did well for a few weeks, but as the fatigue and general crappiness quicked I’ve been indulging in more junk and haven’t been able to walk dogs as much as I normally do

Helen290 · 21/02/2018 11:13

@Scoobysue10 good luck on your scan hun, hehe it's exciting isn't it, I'm starting to show a little now which is exciting only a little bump 🙂

PinkyPromise77 · 21/02/2018 11:48

Little jealous of your bumps ladies... My mum said she wasn't showing until almost 6 months... :O it just doesn't feel real when there's nothing to show...

Weight is my worry too @snowy... I've been always fairly active and been on a healthy eating regime and lost 8kg to get to my perfect weight and now even before my bump is showing because I crave bread (which I didn't really eat) and all the unhealthy foods I put almost 3 kg back on :( probably doesn't help that I'm not moving as much due to feeling so tired and being sick in the afternoons and evenings... I decided to walk back home from work today and will try to do it regularly to introduce some excercise back and... lol if I feel sick there's enough bushes on the way I can be sick into hehehe :)

I didn't show till 6 mths with my first. Hated not having a bump. I did get bump envy. Lol. Didn't evenue start putting on weight really till then, then I ballooned. Lol. Only had a small bump but had water retention.

I am worried about the weight this time round ladies.
I am already starting off 2 stone heavier than I was in previous pregnancies. And I lost the weight pretty quickly before but being much older I am worried about the weight sticking.
Your bumps will come in time ladies.

Can't wait to see baby. This is my partners first so i'my excited for him to see our baby on the screen. As he said it doesn't feel real which is understandable. Still feeling tired but not as much but i'my not really eating fruit and veg as don't fancy it.

niclw · 21/02/2018 20:08

@Scoobysue10 Good luck for your scan. I'm very jealous. I don't get mine for another two weeks. I'll be 13 weeks by then.

Has anybody else found this? I haven't put on any weight but have noticed that my clothes don't fit as well as they used to. The dress I put on for work today was pulling across my bum. I definitely haven't put anything on though as I'm still going to slimming world and was weighed in tonight. I'm a little confused. I've had a bit of lower back ache too x

Ktn35 · 21/02/2018 20:13

God I feel so behind everyone! 8+4 today and 12 week scan feels so far away! Have my booking appointment on Friday but not a scan until 21st at 12 1/2 weeks 😩 I'm so impatient! Also I want to breath easy and tell people!!
I do feel I am showing a bit though ... my tummy has definitely changed shape!

Scoobysue10 · 21/02/2018 20:58

Niclw.
I will be 12 wks +6 on Friday when I have my scan. Feels like I have been waiting ages.

I haven't weighed myself in a few wks. But new I hadn't put any weight on by my jeans.
My tummy haso popped out today. Haven't worn my jeans in 3 days but something tells me they won't be comfy when I put them on tomorrow. Looks like i'll be shopping for more leggings when pay day comes lol.

niclw · 21/02/2018 21:05

@Scoobysue10 Enjoy your scan x

I was hoping to wait a few weeks till my scan until buying anything but I think I may have to start thinking about shopping. My first buy will probably be a new bra though. Mine are getting uncomfortable.

Scoobysue10 · 21/02/2018 21:18

Niclw
I had to buy new bras quite early on as boobs just swelled up lol.
They have gone down a bit as had to tighten my straps as lately been falling down.
Hormones hopefully are settling as nausea is alot better.
Begining to eat different foods again and managing to think of eating without feeling sick. Can't wait to find out what i'm having.
I think it's a boy. Should be able to know when I am able to hear the heart beat. Can't wait.

PinkyPromise77 · 21/02/2018 22:26

That’s interesting about the heartbeat @Scoobysue... how will you able to tell? Sorry if it’s a silly question 🙈

Pinkypromise77
Not a silly question at all. I learnt from the midwife with my first pregnancy that a girls heart best in faster than a boys. So when you have midwife appointment and listen to heart best around 16 wks your midwife will probably have a rough idea on sex of baby.
I remember my daughters was fast. So when I listened to my son's in 2nd pregnancy I noticed his was much slower.
I never new the sex of my other two till they were born and it never bothered me. .getting so impatient to know what this one is. But I am swaying with a boy.

missamy94 · 22/02/2018 07:20

I have my first midwife appointment today, I'm 9+6 I feel like I've been waiting forever for it! Hoping she can book me in for a scan in 2 week rather than the 4 the usually wait

Helen290 · 22/02/2018 07:34

@niclw I had back aches at 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks and I'm still getting back ache now and I'm nearly 13 weeks all scans have been fine so it can be very normal 🙂, hard not to worry tho.

Helen290 · 22/02/2018 07:37

I currently can't wear jeans too uncomfortable I live in dresses or leggings lol holding off till later on to buy maternity jeans 🙂, my boobs have got bigger but I was only small to begin with so not found much different deference with bras I just have a few I can't wear anymore lol.
@Scoobysue10 that's interesting about the heart beat I can't wait for my 16 week appointment just 3 weeks to go 🙂

snowy1982 · 22/02/2018 07:55

The ‘final hooray’ (please let it be the final hooray) if symptoms is kicking my ass Sad. Feeling nauseous from the second I get up in the morning and actually vomited last night and this morning after having made it this far without. Feeling so ill that i’m struggling to sleep and the bloat from constipation is agony. I am pretty miserable right now and that makes me feel even worse as I wanted this for so long I feel like I should be blissfully enjoying every second.

I couldn’t see this wedding tomorrow far enough Sad

PinkyPromise77 · 22/02/2018 10:55

Sorry to hear you feeling rubbish Snowy... I misplaced my antisickness pills somewhere and was so annoying as finally gave in yesterday and decided to take them at bedtime as I was feeling so rough after being sick every 30 min since 8pm but couldn't find them :(

Called the GP asking for someone to call me and prescribe new ones... I can't have another evening of just throwing up... had that for the past week and I feel so bad...

Anyone else has issues concentrating at work? I literally can't be asked to do anything at all... just keep looking at clock wishing time away to when I get home and curl up in bed and relax :/ I'm so unproductive... makes me feel so guilty...

OP posts:
snowy1982 · 22/02/2018 11:17

I feel like that today @pinkypromise, the only reason I am not going home is because I have a nail appointment close by at 4 and I can’t get it brought forward.

I know i’m not going to get anything productive done so I am spending my day archiving old emails etc

CJ1990 · 22/02/2018 11:18

I definitely have issues concentrating at work, your not alone! I’ve had to book a day or so off as just no use at work! Luckily for me it’s not my sickness distracting me (barely have any symptoms) I’m just constantly worrying about my scan! (It’s tomorrow) and if little baby is ok. I think it’s normal not to be able to concentrate - we have a lot going on along with the hormones! X

PinkyPromise77 · 22/02/2018 11:37

Glad to hear I'm not the only one... Snowy hehe I already archived all emails now browsing though website looking at maternity wear :)

Good luck with your scan tomorrow @CJ! Keeping everything crossed it goes well x

I can't concentrate on anything at all😩!! Booking appointment tomorrow - can't believe how the time is dragging! So glad I had the early scan or I don't think I'd have made it this far in one piece!
