I also can't concentrate at work and it's difficult for me to browse the internet due to where my desk is! I've got my booking in appointment tomorrow too. Going to mention to my midwife that I had an early scan and now I'm really anxious because the baby is measuring behind. It's causing me so much worry and not sure I can manage another 3+ weeks for my 12 week scan. No date for it yet! Ugh time is going sooo slowly!

CJ1990 · 22/02/2018 18:40

I had a private scan and it caused me the same Worry! Measuring a week behind what I feel I should be as I was tracking ovulation. I get the impression it maybe hard to date so early. x

snowy1982 · 22/02/2018 18:51

I have had 3 early scans and had 3 different due dates, the most recent one put me at the date I knew I was due to IUI dates. I do think the earlier it is the more difficult for actual measurements and also ovulation good be a few days out etc, it can all add up

Scoobysue10 · 22/02/2018 20:17

I had two due dates with my first. Was given one date at my 12 wk scan and then given a 2nd date a wk behind that at my 20 wk scan. The midwives went by my first date but when she was born supposedly at 37 wks the nurses in special care said she was more in line with a baby born at 36 wks.

Scoobysue10 · 22/02/2018 20:18

My 10 mth old kitten has not left me alone this wk. His being very affectionate and laying next to me or on me which he doesn't normally do.

Back ache considerably worse today. Taught two lessons from my desk chair and then had a 3 hour GCSE option evening where I had to stand so very relieved to now be on the sofa.

@CJ1990 Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Well the skin is finally cleaning up but I did have some spots before pregnancy due to stress. The hair is also not greasy like it has been. Got away with not washing it since Monday. Was having to wash it every day. Managing well on two antisickness tablets instead of the 3 I was taking.
Have a bit more energy too. So hopefully a sign those hormones are settling down at long last. Have my scan at 10 this morning.
Just want to know everything is OK. Got to have bloads done too. Hope they can get blood ok this time. This will be the 4th blood test since pregnancy and they have struggled to get blood due to dehydration. But drinking now.

My grown up cat has been like this! So incredibly needy, she is driving me mad.

snowy1982 · 23/02/2018 08:13

Good luck this morning @scoobysue10

Had the dreaded brown discharge last night and this morning, didn't think too much of it last night for some reason - attributed it to having sex (with husband!) at the weekend. I think I'm 11 weeks and managed to get away with no bleeding or spotting, just a brief episode of (TMI) smelly discharge, which turned out to be nothing. It was brown and watery about the size of two 50ps, but not soaking. There were times when I went the toilet in between and there was nothing there. Anyway, as an afterthought I rang the GP this morning, got an early appointment, but before I'd even left she called back - I thought she was going to say don't worry about it and get to work! But she's referred me to EPU so I'm waiting for a call back from them :( Husband's working away until Sunday, not told him yet, because he'll worry and there's nothing he can do. Have I done the right thing. I might ring MIL later as she might come with me and see what she thinks about telling him.

PinkyPromise77 · 23/02/2018 09:55

Good luck Scoobysue!

Try not to worry CrabbyPatty x hope all is ok and it's just a random spotting. Fingers crossed x

@Scoobysue10 good luck!! 🙂.

Is anyone else getting really dry hands mine are so sore and starting to crack I have read it's a symptom of pregnancy lol like everything lol been using cream but not helping I am prone to eczema but I can't use my steroid cream any other normal creams people could recommend?

CrabbyPatty · 23/02/2018 11:26

Update: I let my husband know because he texted asking how I was and I couldn't lie. Got an EPAU appointment at 4.15 and no one to go with me :(

snowy1982 · 23/02/2018 11:36

@crabby, try not to worry, the appointment is just a precaution. Can MIL not go with you?

CrabbyPatty · 23/02/2018 12:15

Yeah she's coming. Just had a Yakult that expired 10 days ago :( I'm not doing very well!!

PinkyPromise77 · 23/02/2018 12:21

Me too Helen! I wonder whether not drinking enough water could be a factor too?

I have aversion to water so trying to drink weak mint and camomile tea instead so hope it will help and of course keep using hand creams...

Well scan went very well. Baby is very active. Was jumping and moving arms and legs. Was nice to see.
Due date moved to 30th August now.
Will stay on this group as don't want to leave lol. Plus still chance baby may come in September.

Scoobysue10 · 23/02/2018 13:49

My scan

Helen290 · 23/02/2018 14:12

@PinkyPromise77 I think not drinking enough doesn't help it but u thought I was maybe I'll drink more lol, I put lemon squash in my water it helps 🙂

Helen290 · 23/02/2018 14:17

@Scoobysue10 lovely picture, they said to me my due date on the 12 week scan can move by a couple of days apparently they often over shot by 2 days so it might change again you never know lol, awesome news tho glad everything is ok 👍

@Scoobysue10 Congratulations on your scan today. Pleased it went well for you.

@Loonyluna16 Glad baby is ok for you.

CJ1990 · 23/02/2018 18:57

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok! Probably a silly question..but when does the second trimester start? I always thought it was 12 weeks, but others say 13? Then people say you can tell people more happily “at the end of your first trimester at 12 weeks” but then I’m reading about the 13/14 week mark..not sure what’s right?! Haha x
