Girls help. I've got full red period like blood

Ktn35 · 08/02/2018 16:14

I would call NHS direct? Don't panic as it can be all sorts of things xx

Ktn35 · 08/02/2018 16:15

Easier said than done c

Ktn35 · 08/02/2018 16:15

X

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 16:15

@Kiztok how far along are you? Is it a lot of blood? I would ring the doctor.

BeesKnees9 · 08/02/2018 16:16

Kiztok, try not to panic I know this must be really scary. Can you call your GP or your hospitals antenatal ward for advice? Hand holding for you, have you got anyone with you that can help?

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 16:18

Still feeling ill had this nasty virus since Tuesday so been in bed for the last few days had slight relief from nausea yesterday but was back this morning I was glad In a way was getter worried something was wrong, at least I have next week off work. I just hope everything is still ok 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻 been so worried because I have been ill.

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 16:21

@Kiztok try not to worry or panic just ring and ask for advice, hope everything is ok for you xx

Scoobysue10 · 08/02/2018 16:35

Polkadot pixie.

Have you been to the doctors for antisickness tablets. I kept hoping my sickness would get better but only got worse. I went doctors yesterday and so glad I got the tablets. I also am dehydrated and had ketones in urine at just over 6wks.

snowy1982 · 08/02/2018 17:28

@kiztok, as others have said try not to panic yet, I have seen on other threads people having full on bleeds and everything being ok. Ring midwife or NHS direct and see if you can get in for a scan to check things out

snowy1982 · 08/02/2018 17:29

So my letter arrived today, seems I am having all appointments on 1st March, so have to go for scan first, then it’s booking appointment straight after followed by consultant. Did anyone else see a consultant at this stage of things?

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 17:32

@snowy1982 they haven't said anything to me about a consultant?, but I have no idea what happens at the 12 week scan I have mine exactly a week from today I'm so scared.

Kiztok · 08/02/2018 17:32

Thanks girls, called EPU but it rang out, so GP said straight to A&E so sat waiting to be seen x

Ktn35 · 08/02/2018 17:38

My thoughts are with you kiztok - a horrible experience. Keep positive as people are right - I had a friend who had a full 4 day period type bleed at 8 weeks and was fine. xxx

snowy1982 · 08/02/2018 17:41

@helen290, i’m wondering if it’s due to the IUI as it’s the same consultant or if that’s just a coincidence and it’s something they do in this area, ie make you see them all at same time to assess risk factors and needs for ongoing care. I guess i’ll find out at the appointments

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 17:43

@snowy1982 it might be due to the iui but I think things are done completely different depending on your area it seems.

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 17:44

@Kiztok hope everything goes well thoughts are with you.

Scoobysue10 · 08/02/2018 17:45

Snowy1982
The midwife checks your risk factor at booking in appointment where I am. Then decides if you then just require midwife led care or midwife and consultant led care.

snowy1982 · 08/02/2018 17:53

Am just happy that I finally have the appointments, was getting so worried about that

Helen290 · 08/02/2018 18:21

@snowy1982 yeh I bet your really glad 🙂 how far along will you be on the 1st?

snowy1982 · 08/02/2018 18:48

12w 4ds @helen290

polkadotpixie · 08/02/2018 18:56

@Scoobysue10 Yes, I'm on Promethazine for the sickness which does help a bit but makes me very sleepy so it's difficult to take when I'm working 😕 What did your doctor give you? Is it working?

Lightblue82 · 08/02/2018 20:10

Hello, please can I join your group? I've had my booking in and midwife has put me as 29th Sept. The internet apps said 1st October so I guess I'm in between the baby buses! Anyone else due the end if the month?
I hope everyone suffering with sickness feels better and you are seen soon @kiztok.

RedRobin7 · 08/02/2018 20:22

Hi @Lightblue82 😊 I'm also due 29th based on LMP but I think I ovulated later so possible it could move to 1st Oct! I've got an 8 week scan booked for next Saturday (17th). What are your symptoms? Only this week I've gone off food and feel queasy all the time! My boobs are sore, I'm very bloated and so tired. Had two days of light brown spotting but hoping all is okay. Fingers crossed!!

Kiztok · 08/02/2018 20:45

Been sent home as they are so busy and can't do a scan? Have to go back to EPU tomorrow at 11:30
