Promethazine is a calmer/relaxer so will make you tired.
I am on Metoclopramide. My doctor did say if this one didn't work go back as their are other tablets to try.
Maybe you should go back to doctor and ask for something else.
Mine are really helping.

Ktn35 · 08/02/2018 21:28

Oh @kiztok I'm sorry. That must be so stressful, I hope you have someone looking after you xx

missamy94 · 09/02/2018 06:37

I get to see my bean today!! I'm 8 week and I'm booked in for a scan later! Hopefully everything will be fine, I'm nervous and excited!

81louise · 09/02/2018 07:20

@Missamy94, me too. Not slept! glad I am self employed today and can go for a nap later

missamy94 · 09/02/2018 07:44

What time is your scan @81louise ? I've got a full day at work before I go!

samanthajonespr · 09/02/2018 08:43

Good luck with scans today ladies!!

Has anybody had any HCG blood tests done? Just had mine back and it was 12,100. What do the numbers mean?

fidgetsmumx · 09/02/2018 08:50

@kiztok I hope your ok!

Good luck to those with scans today x

snowy1982 · 09/02/2018 10:16

Good luck for all the scans today, and especially for you at EPU @kiztok.

I went and arranged another scan with the iui clinic for next Friday. We have a family wedding the following week and people will notice i’m not drinking and will ask questions. I will be a day or 2 shy of 12 weeks on day of wedding so was planning to tell very immediate family only before hand but would like another scan for reassurance before I do

PinkyPromise77 · 09/02/2018 10:27

the usual catch up as had been so tired and nauseous that I just eat sleep and repeat :)

@Scoobysue how are you feeling now having your tablets? Has the sickness gone?

@Snowy so pleased you finally have your appoitments sorted. What a relief...

@Helen how is your cold doing? Are you better now?

@Kiztok hang in there babe! Fingers crossed all is well and you will get the reassurance tomorrow at the scan x

Good luck for your scans today too @missamy & 81louise. Let us know how you get on x

I had my midwife appointment and slightly worried about all risk factors I have due to my family history... I need to be monitored for pre-eclampsia & high blood pressure, diabetes and issue with blood cloths... sigh... also she wasn't able to get to my veins to take the blood so I need a separate appointment to go to my GP to have it done. Also what really worried me was the CO2 check. Apparently the safe level is 3 and below... mine was 9 and was on the red... anyone know what this could mean? could it harm the baby?

sorry it was supposed to be carbon monoxide CO test....

snowy1982 · 09/02/2018 11:06

@pinkypromise, sorry i’m no help with this, but did they not explain it at appointment. I would like to think that if it was a major concern they would have discussed it and suggested ways to lower it.

Out of interest, do you have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home? Are the levels there ok?

missamy94 · 09/02/2018 11:21

Thanks for the good luck messages, I probably would have waited till my first NHS scan but I had a MC at 5 week last July so I want to be sure!

PinkyPromise77 · 09/02/2018 11:26

Hey @Snowy yes have the alarm but just in case we are betting the boiler engineer to just check it out as we haven't had it serviced etc...

I'm also a non smoker so really surprised it would be so high unless it may be something at work... I may get work to check it out...

The midwife was a little worried but she said if it's still high next time we will have to do something about it but I have done some reading too and people over 10 are usually sent to be treated for CO poisoning so that does not make me feel better for sure :)

@pinkypromise, that sounds very strange, def get boiler checked to be on safe side. Maybe it was a wee clitch today

Helen290 · 09/02/2018 12:15

@samanthajonespr the hcg number in itself is irrelevant in a way especially early on it's the rate it increases in a 48hr period that matters I wouldn't get so hung up on the numbers.

Helen290 · 09/02/2018 12:18

@PinkyPromise77 yeh I agree get your boiler checked are you around anyone on a regular basis who smokes?.
I'm feeling a bit more human today thank you cold is better still just feel very weak went for a walk and I couldn't manage it and had terrible nausea this morning which didn't help.

fidgetsmumx · 09/02/2018 12:19

I’ve never had a CO2 test, is that a new thing?

FluffySavage · 09/02/2018 14:18

@PinkyPromise77 do you drive? If your boiler is fine might be worth having your car checked to make sure there's no CO leaking into the car from any of the exhaust pipes (No personal experience of this but have heard if it happening).

Just wondering also, if anyone else is suffering from sciatic pain yet? I think I over did it the other day and I've had pains running down by butt and tops of my legs. Feels like I've pulled something in my lower back as well.

Helen290 · 09/02/2018 14:22

@FluffySavage I had that for a bit and then it went after a week sciatic nerve pain is very common in pregnancy.

FluffySavage · 09/02/2018 15:06

Ah, thankyou! I thought it might be too early for that to start...apparantly not! Looks like I'm going to have to dig out my hot water bottle.

Kiztok · 09/02/2018 15:29

Thank you girls for all your messages of support, happy to say all is well, had an internal scan (eeeeessshhh that was uncomfortable) little heart beating away and measured exactly as I had down 7+1
They aren't sure why I've bled or have pains but are happy with everything pregnancy wise x

Helen290 · 09/02/2018 15:31

@Kiztok that's brilliant news!! Very happy for you.

snowy1982 · 09/02/2018 15:34

That’s brilliant @kiztok, must be such a weight off your mind

Scoobysue10 · 09/02/2018 15:35

Pinkypromise77
Yes feeling so much better, nauseous and sickness have gone.

Do you live in a polluted area. Don't know why your reading is so high.
I wouldn't worry too much. They never used to test you, first time i've ever been tested.
My other kids are fine as well as the rest of the population.

Scoobysue10 · 09/02/2018 15:36

Kirton
That's really great news all is well.
