Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

Think I've over done it today, just normal job plus as it was so warm today I tidied the garden and planted lots of bulbs, now having cramps and a real pressure down below, I'm so worried I'm going to miscarry again, I had to healthy pregnancies and never worried but now I'm so insecure after miscarrying my last pregnancy

pregnantandfierce · 28/01/2018 22:03

Hope everyone is ok today. I have to admit I feel so behind and had t even thought about the actual labour part eeek!

Thanks @Scooby and @pumpkin, I went and got Gaviscon and it’s helping.

I woke up this morning feeling slightly nauseous but it passed fairly quickly, am wondering why I’m not feeling as sick as a dog like other posters? Not that I want to feel Wretched as I hear it’s horrendous but also understand that morning sickness shows a healthy pregnancy. I’m probably over thinking.

Currently in bed drinking tea reading what to expect when you’re expecting. x

Scoobysue10 · 29/01/2018 06:15

Went to bed with a headache and was hoping it would go. No such luck have woken up with it. Was supposed to have a day off today but silly me agreed to work an extra shift this morning.

Hope you all have a good Monday ladies.

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 08:07

Was sick again this morning, and back at work after four days off feel I need more time lol 😩, as soon as I got back to work my back is hurting again so annoying!! 😖. Hoping I can book my 12 week scan today tried all last week and they hadn't received the paper work yet 😖.

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 09:43

Paperwork still not sent so I can't book my 12 week scan so annoying!! Rang the midwives and they had the paperwork sat on their desk so annoying I bet I want get an appointment for weeks now 😖😖.

snowy1982 · 29/01/2018 09:50

@helen290, I feel your frustration, I still haven’t heard anything about my booking in appointment never mind my scan and I am 8+3 today. Really thought by this stage i’d have had the booking in and be counting down to scan

Charlie8888 · 29/01/2018 10:23

Hello everyone, first time poster. I am 7 weeks with a surprise first pregnancy. Not in a relationship with the bubbas father and he's against me continuing with the pregnancy. I am so grateful for my supportive friends and family right now.
Morning Sickness is awful this morning! Some days worse than others but it's not easing up this morning. No other symptoms but cramps in the first few weeks, mistook for period pain so really had no clue.
It's comforting to know there are others in the same boat as me. This is all so new and unfamiliar, so finding this forum and reading about your similar experiences has been great.

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 10:33

@snowy1982 it's annoying isn't it, have you tried calling the midwives?

snowy1982 · 29/01/2018 10:51

@helen290, on the online self referral form it says not to ring unless you haven’t heard from them by 12 weeks pregnant, I think that’s pushing it a bit though. I am going for another scan on Thursday in the hospitals fertilitly clinic so if i haven’t heard anything by then i’ll ask at the clinic what they think I should do

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 11:09

@snowy1982 yeh 12 weeks is way to late as you need to book your 12 week scan and you should of seen a midwife by then that's insane, yeh I would ask fertility, hope you get it sorted 🙂

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 11:10

I am 9 weeks 2 days is anyone else still getting occasional cramping?

nk1605 · 29/01/2018 11:10

Just got confirmation of my first appointment. Not for another 6 weeks 😩 which will make me 12 weeks until I see anybody. I'm still spotting brown so have called to see if they can do an early scan...I'm not sure I can cope with the fear every time I go to the toilet for the next 6 weeks. Just need to know everything is OK. Has anyone had an early scan at 6 weeks? Does it matter if you ovulated later? I.e. I should wait another week maybe?

snowy1982 · 29/01/2018 11:15

@helen290, it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I emailed the form, surely they should get back to me soon.

I am a week behind you but am still getting cramping from time to time

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 11:55

@nk1605 if your unsure on your dates I would say leave it another week as they can detect a heart beat at 6 weeks but if your dates are wrong they may not because of that which will make you feel worse so I would say leave it another week to be sure.

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 11:59

@snowy1982 I would of thought so after 3 weeks that's insane i did mine over the phone for the midwife and got one straight away but I live in Devon so maybe we are behind a bit on the whole internet self referral lol.
Yeh I had cramping since the very start but I still get it occasionally usually a couple of times a day, fertility said cramping stops around 8 weeks but my midwife said the opposite and online lots of people have still had it at 13 weeks such mixed messages lol hard not to worry.

Halfpint82 · 29/01/2018 12:16

Yes!! I'm 7 weeks with what will be my 1st baby.... I had a miscarriage back in May after 3 years of trying & I'm terrified that something is wrong this time xx

PinkyPromise77 · 29/01/2018 12:32

Ahhh sorry to hear about your parents reaction @niclw but hopefully it was just a shock and worry rather than them not being happy for you?

Welcome @Charlie8888 & @Halpint82 congrats ladies and we are all here to help and support each other :)

@nk1605 if you have worrying spotting and pains they should refer you for an early scan but if not you can get an early scan but they won't do it usually before 7 weeks. I had mine at 6w + 4 and only because I was very sure of my dates and my cycle was very regular. Still they had to do a v scan as the usual one didn't see the baby. If you can wait another week it will be easier and definitely would be more chance to see heartbeat and that everything is fine, or so I was told.

Llondbol · 29/01/2018 12:33

Hi @nk1605 - just to say I totally empathise; I've had spotting for almost 3 weeks. According to my dates I'm almost 9 weeks, but we've had 2 early scans and the one last Monday put us at around 6 weeks and they could only just about make out an embryo. I think someone else on here said to you to give it another week before you try and get a scan - I think that's brilliant advice because all the scans have done for me are cause upset and worry, when I thought they'd be reassuring. If you wait until your 7th week they should see more and that will put your mind at ease. This is just my experience, but they've said both times they're not concerned about the spotting because if the scan shows what they'd expect then the baby is developing fine, but I'm worried every time I go to the bathroom just like you. We've got our third follow up scan today so should know this afternoon if the pregnancy is viable... I'm so nervous 😭

snowy1982 · 29/01/2018 12:54

I’ll be thinking of you this afternoon @Llondbol, I hope everything goes well

Llondbol · 29/01/2018 13:03

Thanks @snowy1982 xx How are things going for you?

PinkyPromise77 · 29/01/2018 13:04

Good luck @Llondbol. Hope all goes well today. I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Llondbol · 29/01/2018 13:54

Thanks @PinkyPromise77 Xx

Scoobysue10 · 29/01/2018 14:38

Helen290.
I haven't had cramping. But felt very heavy and uncomfortable down there over the wkend. Apparently that was due to stretching.
Was sick last night and this morning after feeling fine for 2 days.
It's so warm where I work finding it hard as so warm. It makes me feel ill and tired.

Helen290 · 29/01/2018 14:46

@Scoobysue10 I have had exactly the same I had cramping and heaviness over the weekend and a bit this morning and just little twinges, I was sick this morning and felt sick most of the day struggling to eat as I just don't like anything anymore!! Lol
