Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

Hi all, just wanted to say hello. My September baby will be 11 next year but I always have a quiet moment on Christmas day when I remember secretly finding out on Christmas morning between present opening . A lovely present. Good luck xx

missmapp · 28/12/2017 20:05

Oh, and there are 24 months between mine, chaos but fine. You will be great

Flamingo84 · 28/12/2017 20:22

@MrsBee5817 & Slytherindungeon oh thank goodness! I’m normally really organised and calm but I feel like I’m bouncing in 20 different directions.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a day to sit down and plan!

dingdongdigeridoo · 28/12/2017 20:48

Small age gaps seem chaos when the kids are small, but they seem to play better together as they get older.

I’m going to have six years between mine. Which is the same as between my brothers. And I’m amazed they made it out of childhood without killing each other!

MrsBee5817 · 28/12/2017 21:03

@Flamingo84 let me know how the planning goes! I could use doing that myself! Ha

BlueberryClouds · 28/12/2017 22:26

Oh yep excited and very terrified! I also usually love a plan but I think I need to give myself time for it to sink in!

Hi and congrats to the new ladies!

charlie1234567 · 28/12/2017 22:33

Can I ask a question, which of you have done a self referral midwife form? I was about to do mine me and stopped as it said you had to be at least 6 weeks? Do you guys have the same rule? X

slytherindungeon · 28/12/2017 22:35

I phoned a central booking service - woman took some details like LMP and whether it was my first child then gave me my booking appointment and scan appointment

Flamingo84 · 29/12/2017 14:58

I called my GP surgery today and they said I could pop down and pick up a pack that includes some forms and then I need to make a midwife appt at 8-10wks. I’m in Wales so I assume this would be the same for all Welsh ladies.
The pack contains a very comprehensive booklet for us to fill out detailing our medical history etc. There was also a bundle of leaflets explaining all of the different screening processes available.
Also found out that the midwife only works on a Tuesday and Friday so I think I’m going to have to let my manager know sooner than I’d planned.

Hi all, got my BFP today, I am beyond excited and terrified at the same time. This will be baby no 1 and have had fertility problems and been trying for 3 years.

Also wondering about how the doctor/midwife stuff works as it’s impossible to get an appointment where I am. This BFP came about through IUI so need to let the clinic know and will ask them about the appointments

snowy1982 · 29/12/2017 18:15

Oh and going by due date calc i’m due 12 September

Pinkslink17 · 29/12/2017 21:59

How's everyone feeling? I'm still repeating it in my head constantly! Been having some cramping again today, @charlie1234567 I'm unsure what part of the country you live in/world but I'm in Scotland and I had to fill out a form that the midwife will collect from GP and contact me regarding an 8 week app. DH has started reading up on his baby book and we've already started discussing possible names - keen I know but we are excited as it's our first one! Has anyone had any major symptoms yet? Sickness?

I live in the south of England @Pinkslink17 but even though the online self referral form said you must be 6 weeks I did it anyway... naughty Wink

Re names me and DH have a dog/children name list for years, I'm a teacher so like to keep track of the good ones and the ones ruined by badly behaved children!

Pinkslink17 · 29/12/2017 22:45

@charlie1234567 I'm also in childcare, nothing more off putting than a child instantly coming to mind when a name is mentioned! It's going to be a difficult one I think!

Just tested again this morning, still BFP Grin

MrsBee5817 · 30/12/2017 08:36

@Pinkslink17 @charlie1234567
I'm also in education! How hard is it picking a name ha.
Every time DH suggests something I'm like no! I've had one of them! Puts you right off.
I'm still panicking but trying to stay calm and stop myself from buying something little! Ha
Hope everyone else is well! Xx

BlueberryClouds · 30/12/2017 16:38

How is everyone getting on today? I've just been able to have an afternoon nap thank god as we are out tonight! Wish I could do that everyday. I can't believe how tired I am.

X

Mrs2812 · 30/12/2017 17:00

Hi can I join this thread! I got my bfp yesterday and it’s all a bit crazy! It will be my first child and We only got married on the 2nd December and we weren’t expecting to be this successful trying! Has anyone told any family yet? I told my sister and she just told me to not get too excited yet as it’s so early anything could happen which has put a bit of a downer on my day.

I’ve been really tired this weekend and had some cramping

MrsBee5817 · 30/12/2017 17:21

@Mrs2812 Hey welcome and congrats!! All of us in here are in the very early stages of pregnancy! But, we can still get a little excited! It's all about being positive.
I've told my close family and they are all excited too, but I get that it is early.
But we all need to be positive, other wise we would drive ourselves mad!
Feel free to chat here about anything!
Hope all is well xx

MrsBee5817 · 30/12/2017 20:05

@Kaemazing great, I have requested to join Smile

BlueberryClouds · 31/12/2017 09:54

Hi @Mrs2812. Congratulations! I've told my parents, sister, in laws and best mate as we have seen them all over the Christmas period. Im really aware it's early days but I'm not letting myself worry about it. Worrying isn't going to help or change anything. I'm trying to be realistic though too so not buying anything or planning much just yet. This will be my first too 😊
I was wide awake at 6.30 this morning. Going on a progressive dinner party NYE rave with my in laws tonight cause I'm cool like that! I'm going to be amazed if I make it to the dessert round let alone the party! X
