Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

I don’t have to worry about telling work, i’m a director and shareholder in company I work for so I don’t need to request time off or anything like that, just need to plan my own diary well and discreetly. Only one person in my work knows, but he’s also my dad (semi-retired) so he knows as a father not a colleague. Not planning to make any sort of announcement at work, people will (fingers crossed) be able to figure it out in their own time

snowy1982 · 03/01/2018 12:01

Anyone else having any heartburn at this stage? I very rarely suffer from heartburn normally but have an awful dose of it right now, also I haven’t anything weird today, cereal, fruit and yougurt for breakfast, nothing since then

Fia256 · 03/01/2018 12:26

@snowy1982 yes I have! It starts after lunch and gets worse through to the evening. Or at least it did yesterday!

I have no sore or achey boobs yet, but I do have 1 really itchy nipple Blush it's been tingling/itching for the last 3 or 4 days now and it's driving me crazy!

Cluelessmamma · 03/01/2018 12:33

Congrats ladies! I'd love to join! I'm due 3rd sept with #2.

I'm getting heartburn too snowy, I had it with my last pregnancy but not this early, I think we can take rennies can't we?

snowy1982 · 03/01/2018 12:44

Congrats cluelessmamma, welcome Smile I don’t know about the rennies, have never had to take before so wouldn’t even have any to hand.

I’m not getting any tenderness, heaviness in the boobs, though I never have any boob issues during AF and most women I know do have.

So far my day goes like this, excessive need to pee in morning/early afternoon, queasiness (very bad last night) in the late afternoon/early evening then terrible gas after that

LostMyBaubles · 03/01/2018 13:11

I've never had private scan
So don't have any experience with them

My first midwife appt is next week!

Fia256 · 03/01/2018 13:12

Wow @LostMyBaubles that's quick! How exciting! I've got mine booked for the 23rd Grin

Scoobysue10 · 03/01/2018 14:39

Afternoon.

Gosh my boobs are so sore and swollen.
They didn't swell till later on in my previous pregnancies.
Getting fitted for maternity bras on Friday.
I have told my boss already as I am a carer so no heavy lifting for me.
No sickness so far but eating like there's no tomorrow lol
Feeling very well so far.

Scoobysue10 · 03/01/2018 14:46

Does anyone else have food preferences yet.
I am going off sweet things and prefer crips. Pickles and savory things.

LostMyBaubles · 03/01/2018 15:24

Will have my youngest with me too lol

I really wanted a cheese burger yesterday with a grilled bun lol didn't get one. Hubby did ask me if I wanted anything but he'd been searching for the biscuits I wanted an hour before lol

My foot hurts on the side. Dunno why

niclw · 03/01/2018 18:52

Congratulations to everyone with bfp. I've just got mine so am four weeks due approx. 14th September x

Rachael07 · 03/01/2018 19:11

Hi everyone it’s lovely to read everyone’s stories! I’m about to go into week 6 and last couple of days I have had nausea almost constantly. The only thing that seems to help is either eating or being full. Has anyone else experienced this?

Pinkslink17 · 03/01/2018 19:12

I'm ready for the judgements but I've just been and bought some bits! After looking around the Emma's diary app I found an offer for a baby monitor..one thing led to another and we decided to go to mamas and papas to pick on up as it has £70 off! Didn't want to risk leaving it until later and it going back up to £209! Also ended up getting a tommee tippee essentials kits, breast pump, Moses basket and some clothes as they were ridiculously cheap! Someone please stop me Shock no nausea here, heavy boobs, some heart burn in intervals and extreme fatigue. Other than that I'm just feeling like a whale after Christmas...

Congratulations ladies!!! I also got my BFP yesterday with baby #3 😁. Clearblue test said 1-2weeks but I have no clue when I’d actually be due as I haven’t had any periods since giving birth to baby #2 18months ago. I’ve done a self-referral to my maternity hospital and I cant wait to find out my due date! It doesn’t feel real, can’t actually believe it yet ☺️

Fia256 · 03/01/2018 19:54

Congrats and welcome @littlemisssunshine81 Smile

One of my more unpleasant symptoms of pregnancy has just shown itself.. bloody sciatica! DC1 I got it from midway through and onwards, DC2 got it from around 12 weeks, the baby we lost in June I got it from around 6/7 weeks, and this time, 4 bloody weeks!!! It was also the most painful I've ever experienced it, which I think is probably not helped by my coccyx injury! I think it's going to be an uncomfortable pregnancy!!

snowy1982 · 03/01/2018 19:58

So for some reason I am having a little freak out tonight that things are going to go wrong, I am constantly on knicker watch to look for any spotting, nothing so far but just have a bad feeling this evening. Roll on my early scan on 15th, I am hoping it will give some level of reassurance

Scoobysue10 · 03/01/2018 20:32

I too keep looking for spotting. I don't know why. Didn't worry about that with my other 2. I think it'should cause I feel too good at the moment. Also getting aches in lower tummy I never had with the my other two.

Think I will worry till I have my scan.

Fia256 · 03/01/2018 20:36

Another spotting checker over here! Infact, earlier was the first time I'd wiped without even checking, I didn't even think it just happened automatically! I immediately realised what I'd done and wiped again just to check Blush

snowy1982 · 03/01/2018 20:47

I was doing fine earlier today, getting on with my thinking positive happy thoughts about it, then this evening I just started panicking. Like @scoobysue10 I think I am just going to be like this until scan

LostMyBaubles · 03/01/2018 20:51

I still check 😶

PinkyPromise77 · 03/01/2018 21:09

I never was pregnant and just don’t know what to expect. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you ladies All is well with your scans x I’m looking to get one booked myself but currently doesn’t feel real... like it’s not happening, like it can’t be real... never though being pregnant will happen to me and it feel so surreal even thinking about it...

FluffySavage · 04/01/2018 10:34

@Pinkslink17 no judgement from here! I currently have a very long eBay watch list on the go 😁 I also bought a second hand nursing chair ages ago that I've re-covered (it was too good a bargain to pass on!)

snowy1982 · 04/01/2018 10:58

DH trying to talk me into getting a car seat last night as there was one on offer, I refused (more so because it was a Batman one).

I have a nursing chair though, well it’s an old rocking chair that DH found and he upcycled it, buts it’s always been what I intended to use it for

Fia256 · 04/01/2018 11:03

I already have a brand new full travel system, a fair bit of unisex clothes, lots of packs of nappies and wipes etc! Admittedly they are from my previous pregnancy which we lost later on, but we could have returned most of it but decided to keep it all for next time instead Grin

dingdongdigeridoo · 04/01/2018 11:59

I’m tempted to buy stuff in the sales. But we are already short on space and I know I’ll be driven mad tripping over things.

Need to hire a van and have a massive clear out I think.
