There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

Hope it doesn't mean you're going to early Emily! I think the mucus plug can come a few weeks before labour starts though?

emily199027 · 04/04/2018 20:16

It's only been small bits for the last few days, nothing big so I'm not worrying too much at the moment! My bump feels so heavy and uncomfortable though, and I'm getting lots of BH but there's no pain or discomfort with them. I think I know things are happening though.
I'll mention it all tomorrow at my appointment! SPD is causing the biggest problems at the moment!
But the weeks are flying by so we'll all have tiny newborns before we know it 😊

Counter27 · 05/04/2018 22:26

How did you get on @emily199027 ?

Misssmoo · 06/04/2018 09:31

Hi all im due the 17th with my 3rd had MW app yesterday head engaged although that means nothing haha. Still working but thinking of bringing leave forward I'm not sleeping so am really tired. Not long for us now x

MrsG95 · 06/04/2018 09:42

How are you Emily? I've been losing my plug since 24 weeks, it regenerates so don't worry too much!
I had my first at 36 weeks and he was absolutely brilliant, no medical help needed 😊
Exactly 5 weeks till due with ds2, hoping I hold out till due date (seems unlikely though)

emily199027 · 06/04/2018 16:42

Well the scan was fine, she's weighing around 5lb and measuring a week behind but that's no problem.
Then we waited an hour and half to see a consultant, didn't get to see one again but did see a lovely lady who told me if I want a section I can have one, so I've got another appointment next week to get the forms signed and get booked in. It's been a long journey to get that info 😴 but it's put my mind at ease now and I'm not panicking so much about the birth (unless she does come early! 😫)
But no other signs yet I don't think, been a bit achey but having a 5lb baby in your pelvis tends to do that 😂

PistFump · 07/04/2018 02:24

Look at the state of this. Please excuse the stretchos but I don't reckon I'm going to last another 4 weeks....

ThreeAfter30 · 07/04/2018 07:19

Hi everyone, mind if i join?
Im due 24th may, finished work yesterday as ive 4weeks holidays to take before maternity starts on 8th may.
Like most of you im just at the uncomfortable stage now. Baby is breech and im finding it hard to breathe, cant sleep with pain in bump&pelvis and shocking heartburn.
Baby #3 for me so youd think id be well used to it but apparantly not lol.

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 07/04/2018 08:49

I’ll join you all on the feeling uncomfortable bandwagon. I feel permenantly exhausted and just generally lack any motivation or energy. I’m ready for baby to arrive now. I had high hopes for getting things done around the house while on maternity leave but apart from keeping things tidy I’m sat on my bum most of the time. My heartburn has ramped up in the last day or 2. I suffered terribly with it in previous pregnancies, but thought I’d got away with it this time, no such luck!

I have the midwife coming out on Tuesday for my home birth check/chat which I’m looking forward to!

Counter27 · 07/04/2018 17:01

Waiting to be seen at the hospital for reduced movements today 🙁 wish us luck. Been in once before a few weeks ago and all was okay so hoping everything is fine.

RosaBaby2 · 07/04/2018 17:10

@Counter27 I went in a few days ago baby was just being lazy! Everything crossed for you xx

emily199027 · 07/04/2018 18:33

@Counter27 how's everything??
Hope it's all okay 💐

LittleFox01 · 07/04/2018 21:06

Any news @Counter27 ? Hope everything is okay xx

Counter27 · 07/04/2018 21:56

Yes all okay thank you, just took an age to be seen by the doctor of course.

No real reason given for lack of movement today but it definitely picked up when I was being monitored (of course!). Back next week for a scan to check growth.

The staff were so nice but I still feel bad for going in when everything checks out okay!

emily199027 · 08/04/2018 07:59

That's great news. Don't feel bad! Better to be safe.
I'm back next week too to get my section booked in and sign the consent forms 😫😫 eeeek!

Counter27 · 09/04/2018 08:51

Back in now being monitored again. Haven't slept all night as I've been in pain and had some pink fluid on my pad.

Fingers crossed it's just a false alarm. It's way too early for anything to be happening!!

LittleFox01 · 09/04/2018 08:58

Oh @Counter27 sorry to hear your back in again! Fingers crossed for you. How far along are you? X

Counter27 · 09/04/2018 09:08

I'm 34+1

Waiting for the doctor now to check if my waters have gone. I'm anxious enough because of this but the sound of a wailing women down the hall definitely isn't helping!

Trying to stay positive. Hoping I'll be home and having a nap with everything fine asap.

LittleFox01 · 09/04/2018 09:15

@Counter27 oh bless you! Fingers crossed it's a false alarm and everything is okay.

I've terrified myself by watching one born every minute and all the women screaming on there scares me! I'm hoping it isn't that painful 😣

Keep us updated! Thinking of you xx

RosaBaby2 · 09/04/2018 09:31

@Counter27 Thinking of you x

emily199027 · 09/04/2018 09:33

@Counter27 hope everything is okay and you get seen quickly.

@LittleFox01 It's bloody painful...it's more than pain 😂 but I think it just depends how you personally deal with pain yourself and how calm you can keep yourself.

LittleFox01 · 09/04/2018 09:47

@emily199027 thank you Emily 😂 I have kind of experienced it before but baby was 17 weeks so I can imagine it will be very different and a lot more painful, but trying not to think about it until the time comes lol x

emily199027 · 09/04/2018 10:10

@LittleFox01 oh how terrible 💐😢
But you'll be fine, are you planning on having an epidural?
I can't say much because I'm having a planned section this time, unless she decides to make an early appearance! X

LittleFox01 · 09/04/2018 14:09

Ah have you booked in for your c-section? I was just planning on gas & air but I have an appointment tomorrow at the hospital which I think is to talk about epidural and see if I would be able to have one (I have a higher bmi). I haven't really thought about a birthing plan to be honest, I think I'd rather just go with the flow and as long as he arrives safely I really don't mind. Very much looking forward to having him now though x

Counter27 · 09/04/2018 15:34

Thanks everyone.

Home now and it looks like it's been a false alarm although I've to keep an eye on everything and will be going back in for a scan. It was so painful they couldn't even check if the baby's head was down low.

No more fluid since I've come home but still in quite a bit of pain/discomfort. We don't have it easy do we!?

Potentially a sign I may not go to full term afterall. As long as I make it to 37 weeks I will be more than happy!
