There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

How's everyone doing?

Definitely have third trimester woes now!
Not many clothes fit, had THE worst back ache on Wednesday I actually thought I was in labour, can't wear maternity jeans anymore without feeling uncomfortable, my bumps so heavy I'm sure I'm having a 10 pound baby and baby's movements are so painful I'm pretty sure I'm just internally bruised all over.
Apart from that all is fine 😂 7 weeks to go....but I'm hoping more like 5 if they will book me in for a section at 38 weeks ish 🤞🏻

Counter27 · 23/03/2018 22:34

@emily199027 I feel your pain & sympathise! I'm also massively uncomfortable. Back ache, rib pain, lack of sleep... I would also quite like the thought of an elective c section early (I'm 31+4 but measuring close to 35 😱).

It's major surgery though and recovery is longer so probably not a good idea. I don't even know if a big baby is grounds for having one!

emily199027 · 24/03/2018 07:17

@Counter27 I'm having one (fingers crossed) because of my traumatic 1st birth. It's been a fight so far but I have an appointment on 5th April so it will hopefully get sorted then 🤞🏻

MrsG95 · 24/03/2018 08:59

33+1 today. Finished up at work yesterday, had lots of annual leave to take before maternity starts! 😊
What on earth can I do to keep myself and an (almost) 3 yo occupied? His dad walked out of his life a few weeks ago (used to take him every weekend) so now we have all this spare time with nothing to do! We need out of the house. Haha

emily199027 · 24/03/2018 09:32

@MrsG95 I've been advised by a friend to spend as much time as possible with my 2 year old before new baby's born and enjoy them!
What about soft play, trips to the park, day trips to farm parks or zoo's etc. If you can walk around for a while anyway! I know I can't! 😂 x

Counter27 · 01/04/2018 20:41

How is everyone getting on? Can't believe we can now say... due date is NEXT month!!

I am getting more excited and so eager to meet baby but at the same time I feel totally unprepared. I am so bloody uncomfortable, baby is measuring very large and lots of people mistake me for being 'due any day'. In that sense I'd be delighted to get to the end of the pregnancy but also trying to enjoy the calm before the storm as much as I can... :)

InRainbows · 02/04/2018 08:22

Hello again May club!

I'm due on the 18th and getting super uncomfortable now, dreading returning to work after the Easter break but I suppose it's a distraction from the discomfort of the last month!

Not long to go now!

RosaBaby2 · 02/04/2018 08:48

I’m due 5th May, finished work for Easter holidays as term time only, Mat leave officially starts on 16th!

Baby’s growth dropped from 50th to 10th percentile at last scan (32w), have had twice weekly monitoring for the last 4 weeks due to 2 episodes of reduced movement. Scan on Thursday hopefully baby’s growth has picked up.

Fed up and just want my baby, same as the rest I’m sure Flowers

MrsG95 · 02/04/2018 09:08

Officially struggling to walk! So much stabby pain and pressure in lower bump/pelvis, every time I'm on my feet! 😣 2yo ds is hating me right now haha.
34+3 now, expected to go in the next 3 weeks. I don't even know when I'm seeing mw next, guessing it'll be around 36 weeks? Really want to discuss going to the birthing centre, rather than labour ward. Would love to try the birthing pool!

Kittypillar · 02/04/2018 12:26

Oh my goodness, seriously can't believe that we can now say due date is NEXT MONTH. It feels unreal.

Due on the 17th here. Much as I'm loving being able to feel baby kittypillar bouncing around, the last couple of weeks have been tough - back and hips have started aching a lot, barely sleeping due to being uncomfy/constant bathroom trips, hands are all swollen, had to have testing for GD (results are tbc).

I was supposed to be working until the end of this month but really starting to rethink this now Confused anyone else in a similar boat and thinking they may need to bail a bit earlier than planned?

InRainbows · 02/04/2018 12:56

Yes definitely Kittypillar! I'm supposed to go up to the 4th May but it's going to be such a struggle! My mat cover is useless and just not getting it at all so I don't think I will be able to leave until 4th! Just stay focused on the extra time with baby and for me I will be paid 2018 holiday so the money is what im keeping in mind at all times!

Counter27 · 02/04/2018 12:56

@Kittypillar I am due 21st May and was supposed to finish up 27th April using a few days holidays and then 2 weeks mat leave before due date but I've now put more holidays in and will be off after 20th April. 4 weeks before seems early to me but I really need it! I'm struggling to walk I am so stiff and sore after I've been sitting any length of time.

3 weeks at work to go... I can't wait! 😊

PatchworkWellies · 02/04/2018 13:18

Hey all! I'm due 26th so not quite as uncomfortable as you earlier ladies yet but sleep is a bit elusive, hard to get properly comfy or turn without waking & all those nighttime wee trips...! Finding I'm v tired at the end of each day too (looking after 22 month old toddler full time). Finished work last week, was only one day p/w and term time so stopped at end of spring term.
Bump measured small at last mw apt so they sent me for growth scan but all ok thankfully.
All the best to you all!!

Kittypillar · 02/04/2018 14:49

Oh gosh, @InRainbows, that's a shame about your replacement. I haven't even met mine yet and my manager is being quite cagey about it. Makes me feel nervous, not sure why... :(

@Counter27 I have a bit of holiday left over - was originally planning on leaving it I could have the pay at the end of the holiday year but might end up having to use it to finish a little early.

Kittypillar · 02/04/2018 14:50

And all the best to you too @PatchworkWellies! I can imagine that's just as tough with a 22 month old in the mix! :)

LittleFox01 · 02/04/2018 17:32

Feeling all your pain with the night time being so uncomfortable, I struggle to turn over without my bump hurting. I have been struggling with heartburn too most nights so I also have that waking me up. I'm lucky if I get 2 hours at a time sleep. I'm finishing work this Friday (6th) and very much looking forward to it. I feel like I'm beginning to really struggle, with just walking (waddling) and baby seems to like my right hip and makes it rather painful.

I'm due 8th May :) and very much looking forward to meeting him! Hoping he will come a little bit early. X

PistFump · 02/04/2018 17:38

Anyone else not at all ready?! I'm due May 5th and have only just started today clearing the spare room out for it to be turned in to a nursery 😖

PatchworkWellies · 02/04/2018 19:19

@Pistfump yes! I know I'm only 32 weeks but my last baby came at 35+0 so I should be prepared in case and I'm really not! That said, I have been slowly ticking jobs off list so hopefully it will all come together in next couple of weeks!!

PistFump · 02/04/2018 19:30

Oh god I'm 35+1 ((and hoping he's not going to arrive even a day early!!))

Counter27 · 02/04/2018 20:17

These stories of babies arriving early makes me so worried as I am not anywhere near prepared enough 😂 haven't taken the cot out the box or figured out how to install the car seat yet 🙈

Fizzysx · 02/04/2018 20:44

I'm due 22nd may, maternity leave starts 9th may but off after the 2nd with some holiday days. Got physio tomorrow as suffering with spd. I'm uncomfortable but managing but now thinking after reading everyones comments maybe I should of took my maternity leave a bit earlier.

nats1017 · 03/04/2018 05:05

Hey everyone! Nice to see the group so active! I’m due 12th May! (39 days to go, can’t believe it). Feeling pretty good. Have some sleepless nights but these seem to be followed by a few really good nights. Finished work now ☺️ Had 4 weeks holiday to take ahead of maternity so means 6 weeks off before due date! Seems wary but actually a relief to finish as means after a bad night at least I’ll be able to sleep when I want. Very prepared, nursery finished, car seat fitted and hospital bags packed! Just need to try and get my head around the fact I have to give birth soon! Feeling pretty anxious about that!

PistFump · 03/04/2018 09:29

Yes I've finished work now too, I'm absolutely massive, swollen, and as with a previous poster Im suffering very badly with spd this time. My referral to physio resulted in me being given a leaflet on how to do pelvic floor exercises so I'm still struggling on.

emily199027 · 03/04/2018 09:39

35 weeks today and I think I've started to lose my mucus plug! Been convinced for the last few months that she's coming early 😫 I'm hoping to have an ELCS which I'm hoping to get booked in on Thursday at my appointment.
Starting to panic slightly about having to go through natural labour!

InRainbows · 04/04/2018 19:26

Oh my godness Emily keep us updated, hope your not too freaked out!
