There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

@Counter27 glad it was a false alarm, although it's still not nice being in pain and discomfort:( hope it eases for you. A couple more weeks and little one will be ready to come, so fingers crossed you make it to 37 weeks. X

Cheeseandapple · 09/04/2018 15:42

@Counter27 hope you're doing alright - it's so overwhelming and can feel so out of control! When will you be 37 weeks? Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I've been wanting to join this thread for such a long time but had issues with my account so haven't been able to! I'm 35+2 with my first - a little girl due May 12th. I've been so achey and drained of energy the last couple of days!

PatchworkWellies · 09/04/2018 15:43

@Counter27, so sorry to hear about the scares. With 1st child, I had tiny bit of pink fluid leak at 34+0, son was born at 35+0 with no problems & now a healthy nearly 2 year old. So hopefully even if your baby does come soon it will be late enough for it to be ok after the initial shock. Just try to take it easy if you can. I'm 33+2 today and wondering if this baby will come as soon as its brother...seems to have dropped in last couple of days and there's a lot of pressure in my pelvis now!!

Counter27 · 09/04/2018 15:51

@Cheeseandapple I have another 3 weeks to go to get to 37. Not really sure I'll make it that long but the closer to it the better!

@PatchworkWellies that's interesting... I do feel like my bump has dropped a bit as well and with all this happening today/last night it does feel baby is getting ready to make a move. The closer to 37 the better... even if it's 35 I'll feel better than 34! You're right I do feel a bit more prepared that it might go into labour sooner after today so will be on the lookout. Finish up work next week so might try and get everything cleared this week (whilst also keeping it easy 😂😂).

Counter27 · 09/04/2018 15:53

@Cheeseandapple and congratulations and welcome 😊

emily199027 · 09/04/2018 16:07

@LittleFox01 I'm booking in on Thursday for my section and getting all the forms signed. C section scares me but at least I will know what's happening and it's more predictable.
I didn't have a birth plan or anything with my 1st and just went with the flow....was adamant I didn't want an epidural but I so wish now that I had, then I may have been able to face a natural birth again!

@Counter27 so glad you're home and everything's okay. Take it easy!!

@Cheeseandapple welcome 😊

Farmmama · 09/04/2018 17:59

I'm now 33 weeks and my bump is so achey all over, not just at the bottom from the weight pulling down. Is this normal? Baby is moving lots so I'm not worried about him/her, but I'm just wondering why I am constantly so sore ☹️

Counter27 · 09/04/2018 19:00

@Farmmama sympathies... I think the further along you are the heavier and generally more uncomfortable it gets. Not fun!

Farmmama · 09/04/2018 19:25

Thanks counter. I imagine that is the case. Baby is definitely lacking space now given how movements are feeling. It's just strange it's a constant ache at the top of my bump, not just at the bottom. Naughty baby

34 weeks tomorrow and have terrible back pain! I can't wait for pregnancy to be over! Smile

Lou0390 · 09/04/2018 20:50

37 weeks and don't think I can go on much longer. Already got a toddler to keep me busy.
Seeing MW tomorrow for birthing plan but having lots of niggles, tightenings and I think I had a show today.
My first was born at 38 weeks so wondering if I will be early this time....

Counter27 · 10/04/2018 00:13

Well I'm back in and have been admitted this time. They're monitoring me and basically watching out for potential placenta abruption. I think it's rare so just trying to keep up the PMA! Fasting just in case though.

Cat12321 · 10/04/2018 01:56

@Counter27 Thinking if you Thanks

ThreeAfter30 · 10/04/2018 06:41

Hope you & baby are ok @Counter27, scary time for you for sure Flowers

LittleFox01 · 10/04/2018 06:53

Thinking of you @Counter27! Hope everything is okay with you and baby xx

Counter27 · 10/04/2018 09:47

Has been an awful night and potentially was going for an EMCS but I've felt a lot better the last couple hours and things have improved.

Will be staying in today for more monitoring and tonight and can get home tomorrow if nothing changes. Just need to get watch and wait...

Thanks for the thoughts 💐 I'm upbeat today not sure if it's the delerium from getting 3 hours sleep in the last 50 or so hours!

Counter27 · 10/04/2018 19:01

Didn't last long... more pain and bleeding 😢 finding it hard to cope with the anxiety about having this baby at 34 weeks.

Don't feel like the midwife or doctor on yhe ward are taking my concern seriously either. I know it's good they are saying they think things are okay but the nightshift registrar on the labour suite felt differently and was ready to go for the c section.

I want to go into this birth feeling good and positive. I am anxious (usually don't feel like that at all) and sleep deprived and I would hate to go into a c section tonight/tomorrow feeling a bit traumatised.

emily199027 · 10/04/2018 19:21

@Counter27 try not to worry, you're in the best place and if baby is born at 34 weeks, they know what they're doing and will be able to help baby in every way needed.
Why don't you try and get a bit of sleep x

Counter27 · 10/04/2018 21:50

Thanks @emily199027 you're right 😊

LittleFox01 · 11/04/2018 06:51

Hope you had a better night @Counter27 and managed to get some sleep! How is everything looking now? X

Counter27 · 11/04/2018 07:21

@LittleFox01 had a better sleep, although restless as you know what hospitals are like! I chatted with the night registrar last night and he was better at explaining things. We felt more listened to about our concerns which was helpful. Feeling less emotional today!

Still no answers and think I could be in a while longer which is frustrating. As it's our first I would feel nervous about going home with my symptoms continuing so it's for the best. I can tell if I deteriorate but I'd be worried I wouldn't pick up a change in baby.

LittleFox01 · 11/04/2018 09:47

Oh bless you. Atleast you got to talk to someone who could explain things better for you. You are definitely in the best place for you and your baby. I'm hoping it all calms down for you with no more symptoms and you can go home to rest better. Although I do understand your worry.

I have my 36 week growth scan later today and still get nervous for them. Xx

Lou0390 · 11/04/2018 11:10

So got to go for a growth scan due to static growth at 37 weeks. Feeling anxious about this. Has anyone else had this??.
Feeling frustrated as they cannot currently find an available hospital to scan me due to my rural location.

emily199027 · 11/04/2018 17:34

@Counter27 any news? Hope everything's okay! Xx

@Lou0390 has the measurement come from the tape measure midwifes use? From what I've read, they're not the most accurate measurements! Baby could be lying funny, so try not to worry yet. Have you got an appointment yet?

Lou0390 · 11/04/2018 17:59

@emily199027 thank you for the reply. It was measured with the tape and still waiting for a scan. I don't feel too anxious now as having lots of movements and my MW is pretty chilled
