There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

@fizzy, re. Hospital bag, I reckon 3 lots of vest / sleepsuits. Should b enough if you're out within the usual 48 hours but will need more if u stay longer. I can't remember what I'd packed last time, we had a surprise 35 weeker and ended up with 3 nights in hosp so OH had to bring me more anyway. I'd go with first size, if it's bigger or smaller the first one will still fit enough until someone can bring you a better size. Just make sure they're clearly labelled at home (have nightmare memories of telling OH exactly where things we needed were and him still ringing coz he couldn't find them or getting the wrong thing!!)

@zoe, I had awful rib pain on left side last time, it hasn't started in earnest this time although I've had a few twinges so far. No idea what to do about it I'm afraid but sending lots of sympathy!!

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 22/02/2018 15:13

You ladies are so on the ball! I haven’t even thought about a hospital bag.

I saw the Midwife today and have been given a date for a growth scan as I’m measuring small. They also suspect that baby is bum down at the moment, but plenty of time to turn so I’m not too worried about that. How’s everyone else?

Farmmama · 22/02/2018 17:08

I'm starting to feel baby move loads now and we can even see my belly move on the outside sometimes!

I've just read the "Third Trimester Woes" thread which has worried me A LOT!! Due very end of May so still a look no way to go yet 😬

Fizzysx · 23/02/2018 20:31

@PatchworkWellies thank you for the advice. Oh yes I've already done that ive put post it notes on the inside of the drawers with the size and what it is for the OH and shown him so there can be no confusion 😂 he thinks I'm crazy but I've told him it will help him later on and me with this baby brain!

nats1017 · 28/02/2018 13:56

Eek! Our 1st NCT class starts tonight. Fingers crossed it will be worthwhile

emily199027 · 28/02/2018 19:00

Hi everyone! Due May 8th with a little lady.
I think I was one of the first ones on the original thread!
Hope everyone is doing okay!

Zoe274 · 03/03/2018 21:07

That's exciting @emily199027 😊 my NCT classes aren't until the end of April. I'll be 36/37 weeks 😬

BlueRaincoat89 · 05/03/2018 11:24

@Zoe274 My NCT classes start at 34 weeks which everyone tells me is really late! Ours are twice a week for 4 weeks rather than once a week for longer as most are (I think!). Seems we've opted for the crash course in child care!

Zoe274 · 05/03/2018 11:33

@BlueRaincoat89 haha definitely!! I have two Saturday classes in a row for the full day and one evening class in between. If I'm not already feeling huge by then I'm sure I will be when I see the other Mum's not as far along 😂

BlueRaincoat89 · 05/03/2018 18:47

@Zoe274 Ha, you can be the voice of experience for those not as far along. Two full day Saturdays sounds hardcore. Ours are 19.30-21.30 on weekdays, I am usually so ready for bed by that time!

heatherxo · 05/03/2018 22:27

Hey ladies! I'm 30+3 weeks (due may 11th), with 2nd.
Can't really remember much from ds pregnancy..
Is it normal for movements to increase around this time? For the last 2 days or so, baby has been going absolutely mental in there! Proper rolls and jumps. Really increased movements from just last week!
Is this "normal"?

Farmmama · 06/03/2018 08:51

I hit 28 weeks and third trimester today 😃 Less than 2 months left at work. It's coming around quickly 😬

Farmmama · 06/03/2018 08:51

And I start nct classes on Sunday, so I think things might be starting to get real

emily199027 · 06/03/2018 10:37

@heatherxo I'm 31 weeks today and I've been experiencing this too!! I don't remember it with my first...but my midwife did say that because the muscles are stretched from before you'll be able to feel more apparently! I think it depends on which way they are lying as well.

We have a 4D scan booked this afternoon!

BlueRaincoat89 · 06/03/2018 11:00

@Farmmama I also hit 28 weeks today Smile How have you been feeling?

Girlwiththearabstrap · 06/03/2018 11:30

I'm 31 weeks and feeling way more movement than last time too. I had an anterior placenta last time though so maybe that's why too. And definitely more stretched muscles...

I was feeling really well until this week when I somehow injured my back and have had 2 days off work. I also have loads of appointments now - weekly blood pressure check, growth scans and consultant appointments every 3 weeks and lowish fluid. I know I'm lucky to be closely monitored and I'm healthy but for some reason all the appointments are making me feel a bit stressed.

heatherxo · 06/03/2018 12:16

I have an anterior placenta this time, so expected less movement but baby has been going wild!
Feeling awful over the last week. Heartburn and nausea is back with a vengeance 😭 can hardly sleep and constant woozy spells too. Definitely wasn't like this last time

Farmmama · 06/03/2018 17:58

My nausea seemed to come back for a couple of weeks recently but I'm ok today. Back etc doing better than it has been too, although very bottom of bump feels very stretched by the end of the day. Definitely walking more slowly now and getting out of breath walking up the hill from the train statin to my office! Still got 2 horses to muck out every day until spring is here and they can go out on the field 24/7. Come on spring!!

nats1017 · 07/03/2018 08:32

30+4 today and feeling a bit rubbish. Breathlessness is bad for me some days even when I’m just sitting or standing still 😂 I’ve had a couple of nights of leg cramps which aren’t fun but other than that we are loving pregnant life 💙 Finishing work 3 weeks tomorrow which I’m definitely looking forward to as will be ready to rest and get prepared by then ☺️ Can’t believe we are in single figure week countdown until D day ! Hope everyone is doing well! X

Counter27 · 19/03/2018 13:07

31 weeks exactly today...

Just had a growth scan and baby is measuring in 97th percentile estimated 4lbs 11oz. ARGH!!

Not sure what that means I didn't get much information... will I be induced early??

Fizzysx · 21/03/2018 18:14

@Counter27 I saw my midwife today I'm 31+1 and she didn't tell me anything like that just measured my belly and nodded she actually didn't say much at all today have you tried looking on Google to see what it means?
I seem to be having symptoms of SPD which is just lovely oh the joys of pregnancy!

Fizzysx · 21/03/2018 18:17

Just reread your post and seen you had a growth scan so that will be why I have no idea as I only saw my midwife. Definitely suggest having a look on the internet or in pregnancy books maybe?

LittleFox01 · 21/03/2018 18:37

@Counter27 do you have Gestational Diabetes? Or was there another reason why you had a growth scan at 30 weeks? X

Needmorehands · 21/03/2018 18:38

Counter27 - I'm in the same boat! 32+1 today, baby is measuring big so they made me do a glucose tolerance test to rule out gestational diabetes this morning, despite urine always being clear of sugar. My mum had big babies as well.
Scared they'll play hard to get and not let me have my planned homebirth

Counter27 · 21/03/2018 18:45

I was in the hospital for reduced fetal movements, all of which checked out okay, it's their policy to do a growth scan after a visit for that.

I now have an appointment on Friday for the glucose test for gestational diabetes. I think it's unlikely though, both sides of the family have had big babies, we're both tall and I've not had any issues with urine samples. Fingers crossed anyway!!
