There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

How is everyone doing? Anyone having difficulty sleeping? I think for me, it's due to SPD and sciatica but I also feel heavy at the moment so it's a real struggle to turn sides.

Everyone seems so organised! I'm usually an organised person but I just feel really anxious and nervous about getting my hospital bag etc ready! FTM nerves.. Hmm

RosaBaby2 · 02/02/2018 13:24

@duckii I still have not plucked up the courage to buy nappies, don't know why! Maybe next week! I'm not organised at all and 27w tomorrow!

Sleeping wise it's getting worse although not SPD or anything for me but turning over is becoming a chore and I am trying to ignore the need to pee every hour too!!

When are you due? Flowers

Girlwiththearabstrap · 02/02/2018 13:35

14 weeks to go till my due date. Which still feels like aaaages away!

For anyone who's stressing about not being prepared, please don't let it panic you. 3 months is plenty of time to get stuff. Even if the baby comes early, we live in a time of Amazon prime and 24 hour supermarkets so picking up nappies etc takes minutes. I know getting prepared is nice but it's not genuinely worth worrying over.
It's my second so I have pretty much everything but my first baby came at 34ish weeks and didnt have any clothes to fit and I obviously hadn't done my hospital bag. It was fine and a quick trip to Mothercare sorted it all out!

Girlwiththearabstrap · 02/02/2018 13:37

Oh and I'm not sleeping well either. I'm not suffering with SPD or anything but I wake up loads and i get backache by the end of the night.

The only things I’ve bought are a crib, and some babygros. I’m not expecting to buy much more beyond a few essentials and pushchair/car seat until baby is here.

I work in a job where I undertake home visits, and yesterday I went into a house where someone had slapped cheek. Urgh it’s made me paranoid that my baby is now at risk, but my GP surgery is constantly engaged and I don’t have my midwife’s Number on my phone (clever I know).

Girlwiththearabstrap · 02/02/2018 13:42

McToots - try not to worry and see what GP says. Apparently it's less risky after 20 weeks. I called for advice when it went round my daughter's nursery when I was 14 weeks. They said unless I started showing symptoms like a fever or general unwellness, or id been in very close contact with someone who had it then not to worry.

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 02/02/2018 20:27

I spoke to the GP and he was lovely and reassuring. Bloody google, I did apologise to the gp for reading on the internet before asking a trained medical professional 😂

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well..

I'm due on May 21st with a baby girl! However a few midwives said they think I'm actually due a little earlier...

I'm about 25 weeks now. Baby is kicking away, enough for me not to worry! Love having a bump Grin

So far we have a pram/car seat and lots of clothes but still need to move house/city.. We can't until a month before the baby arrives though... So hard to not get stressed!!! Hopefully the last trimester will be quick...

Girls..talk to me about maternity bras? I'm really struggling to find a bra that fits and supports me right! I've been measured recently and told I've gone from 34d pre preg to a 38e at 25 weeks. The extra weight in them has made them sag to the point I've actually got a rash across my chest from the skin on skin contact 🙈. Not something I've ever suffered with before and I'm struggling to find a bra that is comfortable and still supports them well enough and I believe we shouldn't be wearing anything that's wired during pregnancy?!

What's everyone else wearing? Anybody else suffering with the same? Any recommendations greatly appreciated xx

Fizzysx · 04/02/2018 22:41

@lottiec1 I got some bras from asda called comfort bras no wire in them but there not maternity bras. They do the trick for me only £6 each too and are so comfy im going to buy more after hes born when my size changes back. I know really you should spend out on bras but with the amount boobs change during pregnancy it gets expensive and these work for me.

Meemzinha · 05/02/2018 06:55

I've just found out you can buy bra extenders! Doesn't help with cup size but I was finding the bras getting tight on my back! This way I don't have to buy new ones Grin

nats1017 · 08/02/2018 12:33

We’ve just booked a 4d scan for Saturday! Excited to see bubs again 😍

LittleFox01 · 08/02/2018 18:20

Ah how exciting !! How far along will you be @nats1017 ?

I really want to book another private scan, but unsure at what stage would be best! X

Meemzinha · 08/02/2018 18:35

Ahh I loved my private scan! Worth every penny aren't they Grin

Zoe274 · 08/02/2018 21:27

Hi all - new here... due 21st May with my first! Waiting to find out if we're having a boy or girl.

Currently struggling through a throat infection, I feel lousy but bump is kicking away quite merrily :)

Meemzinha · 08/02/2018 21:55

@Zoe274 Hey!

We have the same due date Smile

We're having a girl and she's kicking away too, sometimes it tickles and makes me jump!

Hope you feel better soon! Flowers

LadyPug · 08/02/2018 22:00

Hi everyone!!! Keep losing these threads! Marking my place and saying hello!

nats1017 · 09/02/2018 06:12

@LittleFox01 I’ll be 27 weeks. Yes it was hard to know when to book it for as could do it anyhwhen between 24-32 but I was reading if you do it too early they may not have put on enough fat to get great pictures and if you do it too late they can be too big and squished to get good pics so 27/28 weeks seemed like a good time. Will let you know how I find it :) x

Fizzysx · 10/02/2018 22:29

I hope everyone is well!
For people that have had babies before for your hospital bag how many vest and sleep suits should you pack? And do you pack two different sizes just incase they are bigger than first size? Starting to think about what I need to pack as other half wants me to be prepared extra early just incase.

Thank you!

nats1017 · 17/02/2018 20:58

Had to delay my 4D scan by a week as I was poorly, but had it today and loved it ☺️ So great to see baby who was sleepy but looking very cosy!

Oh @nats1017 what an amazing picture!! Beautiful bubba ❤️ x

nats1017 · 17/02/2018 21:53

Thanks @LittleFox01 ☺️

Zoe274 · 20/02/2018 20:42

Finally over my throat infection and feeling back to normal...

Have had the most uncomfortable pressure/aches in my upper right abdomen. Feels like my rib really hurts. Baby does seem to have a preferred position with feet (I think!) up in this general area. Is the discomfort just the baby's position?

Any tips for helping relieve the pressure/pain? It feels really bad by the end of a day sitting in the office and lying down on my left hand side is also pretty uncomfortable the last couple of nights.

Farmmama · 20/02/2018 21:18

Sorry Zoe, I can’t help you with that as I’m only feeling mine lower down. Hope you feel better

I’ve been struggling with feeling so hungry it makes me feel sick (although not the same nauseous sick feeling that I had earlier on). I’m eating lots, but even immediately after my dinner I felt like it ☹️

Any ideas what’s going on?

duckii · 20/02/2018 23:35

@Farmmama I'm the exact same! I keep eating to make the sickness go away, but it's still there. I'm worried the dreaded first trimester sickness has returned.. Sad
