There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

How is everyone today?
38+2 and I am so exhausted. I do have a 2yo to run round after but the last two days it feels like the fatigue bus has well snd truly hit me. Anyone else feeling the same?

LittleFox01 · 29/04/2018 19:18

Sorry for the delayed update!

After going into hospital on Wednesday at 8am to be induced, Zachary finally arrived via emergency c-section at 4.33pm on Thursday. I had to be put under GA as the epidural wasn't working. But he's safely here and we come home last night. Enjoying every single second with him 😍 x

Congratulations @PistFump x

MrsG95 · 29/04/2018 19:21

Congrats Fox! Zachary is a beautiful name Flowers

emily199027 · 29/04/2018 19:38

@LittleFox01 congratulations!! Hope you're recovering well xx

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 29/04/2018 20:01

Many congratulations on your lovely new baby boy, @LittleFox01. Welcome to the world Zachary.

Kittypillar · 29/04/2018 22:05

Huge congrats @LittleFox01! What wonderful news Flowers

So my due date wasn't until the 17th of May but I was diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis earlier this week. Turns out I'll be being induced on the 3rd of May now. Really hoping all will turn out okay, bit nervous. DH secretly thrilled because now there's a good chance baby will be born on Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you WinkGrin)

Counter27 · 29/04/2018 22:08

Congratulations @LittleFox01 hope your recovery is going well 💐

@Kittypillar my DH was hoping for a May 4th baby too!

PatchworkWellies · 30/04/2018 07:01

@MrsG95, yes totally. 36+2 today. Last week I was full of energy, mowed our (large) lawn twice, dug a vegetable bed, got loads of meals in freezer. Over the weekend I completely crashed and don't want to drag myself anywhere. Keeping up with active 23month old feels far too much!!
@kittypillar, hope all goes well, I had OC in last pregnancy and son arrived early (spontaneous labour though) and he's all fine now.
Congrats to those of you who have your babies now 🌼

MrsG95 · 30/04/2018 07:52

Thanks patch. The exhaustion is terrible, worse than what I felt before starting iron tablets (which I missed a day of), that's why I'm so worried. Obviously just knackering myself out!
Totally ready for this baby now 💪

LittleFox01 · 30/04/2018 09:35

Thank you all. Recovery is going okay so far, I'm still very sore but it's so worth it. Having my little boy is the best feeling ever.

@Kittypillar good luck on your induction. X

Congratulations and welcome to the world Milo and Zachary! Love the names 😁

My friend who was due on May 15th (6 days before my due date) had her baby a few days ago so it's all getting very real and exciting!

Just bought myself an exercise ball! I've guessed to myself that my lil girl will arrive on May 7th.. Not sure why. Maybe I just like the date and the fact it's not too far away. Plus my partner works at a uni and he doesn't want to deal with the 'welcome week' event next week so I'm trying to convince baby to come this weekend and get her Daddy out of work hahahaaa!! Smile

Getting oooh so excited! Hope everyone is feeling okay xx

PistFump · 30/04/2018 19:02

Thank you!! Milo is doing great. I'm having to formula feed as his latch has been very poor and my colostrum supply has now plummeted and my milk hasn't come in. He's got a little bit of jaundice but has managed to put on plenty of weight now tipping the scales at over 10lbs.

Counter27 · 30/04/2018 22:17

Encouragement required...

Our little one is suffering from jaundice and we are back in hospital under light therapy again. I have to take her out to feed every 3hrs but not for more than 30mins at a time. She cries hysterically everytime I put her back in the incubator and it takes up to an hour to settle her. It's so heartbreaking, not sure how I will get through the night.

Lou0390 · 01/05/2018 08:32

@Counter27 sending lots of hugs and support and I hope you are all okay

I had a night of on and off contractions and now nothing, seriously had enough. Come out baby 😂 But I'm off to reflexology this morning so it might help. If not it's a nice treat and an hours break from hyper toddler 🙈

LittleFox01 · 01/05/2018 09:07

Oh @Counter27 how heartbreaking for you. Zachary has a bit of jaundice too which we are having the midwives out today for his 5 day check so they will check his levels too. I'm hoping he's okay! I have no other helpful information on jaundice though unfortunately.

We went to bottle in the hospital due to him not latching on properly, however my milk came in yesterday so I have started to express xx

Counter27 · 01/05/2018 11:30

Thanks @Lou0390 hope it does the trick!!

@LittleFox01 hope his levels are low. Our little one's were high enough they were going to do a blood transfusion if they didn't reduce enough over the first few hours. Luckily they did. She'll be under the lights for another day and then retest tomorrow morning.

LittleFox01 · 01/05/2018 18:00

Awwr hope your little one is okay @Counter27 and her levels lower!

We had the midwife come this afternoon and his levels have lowered a little. So fingers crossed they keep lowering x

LittleFox01 · 01/05/2018 18:02

My little sleeping beauty 😍

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 01/05/2018 18:15

😍 what a gorgeous boy. You made a good one there @LittleFox01!

Aww @Counter27 hopefully when they retest tomorrow everything will be better.

I had a sweep today (39 weeks) as my bump measurement has suddenly dropped. They couldn’t fit me in for a growth scan until 40+2, so will be offered another sweep next week and then induced at 40+2 if no luck. Forgot how bloody uncomfortable those sweeps are 😱 but she did at least manage to do one.

emily199027 · 01/05/2018 19:14

Thinking of you @Counter27 hoping you can get home soon with your little one!

@LittleFox01 he is absolutely gorgeous! Congrats!

C section day tomorrow for me! Should be eating loads but I've not felt like eating much today...so I'm just going to have some ice cream and I'm allowed a light breakfast in the morning.
Hope everyone's doing okay!

Lou0390 · 01/05/2018 19:27

&@LittleFox01 what a little beauty congratulations
wishing you all the best for tomorrow @emily199027 😊

Counter27 · 01/05/2018 20:59

@LittleFox01 what a handsome little guy 😍

@emily199027 all the best for tomorrow!

Cosmoa · 01/05/2018 23:09

Yey it's May! Grin

Kittypillar · 02/05/2018 00:49

Oh gosh @counter27, really hope things improve for you and your little one soon Sad that can't be nice for either of you. Wishing you'll be returning home very soon!

Your son is gorgeous @LittleFox01, congrats! And fingers all crossed for you @emily199027, hope everything goes well! Smile

PistFump · 02/05/2018 08:46

Yes Milo has a touch of jaundice too. It's very common and my ds has it when he was born nearly 7 years ago, but 'nowadays' they seem to be taking it a lot more seriously rather than seeing how it goes. My experience is that it tends to go on its own after a week or so unless there's a real problem, but Milo is only just in the amber zone on their chart and they're all over it like a rash with their bilimetre testing every day. We got him out in the sun yesterday so I'm hoping when they check him today it will have improved a bit. Fingers crossed for all of those with yellow babies!
