There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

36+1 now! Had A LOT of painful contractions today, which became very frequent, but have now slowed to an almost stop so obviously just BH. Have done lots of walking today which I think made them worse though, and now I'm relaxing they are going. Ah well

emily199027 · 14/04/2018 19:51

@Counter27 thank you ❤️

So, has everyone got their hospital bags packed and ready? What have you got in there?
I've packed and unpacked and repacked mine about 5 times now & still got a few more bits to pop in that I bought yesterday!

ashers86 · 14/04/2018 20:09

@emily199027 Im sorry about your Grandad

I thought I was packed and sorted then remembered I needed nappies in there. So I've decided best thing to do is take it to my mams and get her to sort it.....I should know better at 32 HAHA!!

Counter27 · 14/04/2018 20:42

Packed my bag last weekend, which was just as well because I tested it out during the week when I was in for a few days! I keep rechecking it as well but think it's done 😊

LittleFox01 · 14/04/2018 21:11

I've had mine packed for a few weeks, but this week made sure it was complete and ended up taking loads of stuff out which I didn't really need and made up bags of outfits with sizes on so my partner can find them easy enough. I am hoping I have everything!
I bought a back pack yesterday which I will put emergency clothes in and keep at home or in the car as extras then my father in law or partner can grab if needed.

I've been feeling really rubbish the last couple of days with 0 energy and wanting to sleep constantly (I've put it down to not sleeping at night). And tonight my back is really achy 😞 how is everyone else feeling? Xx

Counter27 · 14/04/2018 21:30

@LittleFox01 good idea on the backpack, I might do that too.

I'm having a lot of cramping and aches the last couple of days. Still not sure if that is normal at this stage or if I am getting closer to early labour! Feeling absolutely massive (my bump is measuring 39 weeks at 34!). I am completely beach ball shaped 😂

Fizzysx · 14/04/2018 21:32

I've had my hospital bag packed for a few weeks now as I didn't want to be stressing about it. I believe I have everything in there probably too much but oh well!

I've been suffering badly with spd but saw a physio two weeks ago and since doing what she told me it's helped alot still sore but not even half as much as before I saw her.

I'm 34+ 4 and as uncomfortable it's unreal he's right under my ribcage and my belly is rock hard constantly so find it really uncomfortable to sit either have to lay or stand, I just keep telling myself not long left.

I hope everyone is well!

LittleFox01 · 14/04/2018 21:38

@Counter27 this is my first so not sure what's normal or not, but I've had back ache on and off for a while, but tonight it seems a lot worse.

My bump was measuring 43 at my 34 weeks appointment 🙈 so measuring very big although I don't feel overly huge, just more uncomfortable. Im very much counting down the weeks, and I really can't wait to meet my little man now. X

Counter27 · 14/04/2018 21:48

@LittleFox01 I've had some days where my back is very sore too and then others where it's been okay. Depends a little on what I'm doing but it has been a bit random too. Just another joy of pregnancy 😊

I saw a photo from my hen do almost 2 years ago and all I could think was oh my god look how in shape I was then. At the time I didn't think I was slim enough but can compared to now it's a joke 🤣 I've put on 45lbs so far this pregnancy 🙈

LittleFox01 · 14/04/2018 21:52

Oh bless you! You are growing a beautiful little baby though, so I'm sure you look beautiful with a baby bump :) I love baby bumps! I'm a larger girl anyway but absolutely love my little bump. I haven't weighed myself for a little while but at my midwife on Thursday she said I had lost 4kg since my last weighing! Last time I did weigh myself I had put on 10lb throughout the pregnancy, but again I am on the larger side anyway so they didn't want me to put much weight on. Also baby is measuring around 8lb 10oz apparently! Xx

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 16/04/2018 01:20

34+4 here and I can't see this baby waiting until 40 weeks! My oldest ds was born on his due date and youngest was 10 days early. Feeling very heavy and uncomfortable. Had awful sickness the whole way through as well 😷

Oh well it'll be worth it when he's here ☺️

Counter27 · 16/04/2018 07:54

Perhaps not long to go for you at all @SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace very exciting!

Is anyone else struggling with sore hips from lying on their side at night? I swap sides frequently because it gets so painful. I have all the pillows in the world, making sure my knees are separated and my ankles aren't crossed but still sore!

Misssmoo · 16/04/2018 08:35

Me counter but I'm more sore in the public bone. Not long now and it'll all be over xx

Counter27 · 16/04/2018 09:31

Definitely @Misssmoo !

I have a few friends without kids who have asked how I've found pregnancy 😂 does anyone enjoy it!? Must be rare! There are a small number of things I love about it but the majority is rubbish, painful and tiring.

LittleFox01 · 16/04/2018 14:46

So after a very very long morning at the hospital I have a date for induction! It's sooner than I thought but happy I get to meet my little man soon. So I'm going in next Wednesday (25th April) to be induced eek!! 😬
Has anyone else been induced before?

I am very uncomfortable at night and can hardly sleep 😞 x

Counter27 · 16/04/2018 15:04

@LittleFox01 so exciting!! Glad you got the date sorted. The countdown is well and truly on 😁

LittleFox01 · 16/04/2018 15:08

Countdown is definitely on now! I'm really looking forward to finally having him in my arms! It also means I can prepare everything I need too properly ☺️ wasn't expecting an April baby 🙈 lol x

emily199027 · 16/04/2018 15:34

@LittleFox01 great news! How exciting!!! 🎉 x

Counter27 · 16/04/2018 15:53

Delighted for you. Wouldn't it be great if every baby could be scheduled and we could plan everything around it. Even with the induction I guess you don't know how quickly labour will start!

What are you planning to get done between now & 25th? I just did a large batch of food for the freezer today. Knackered now 😆

RosaBaby2 · 16/04/2018 16:47

@LittleFox01 I was induced with my first it was because he was 2 weeks overdue. It was absolutely fine. 16h start to finish, no interventions at all. How exciting! Hope it goes well for you!

I’ve been convinced for weeks that I would be having this baby early (before 40 weeks) because it’s been so different from last time but now I’m not so sure!

emily199027 · 16/04/2018 16:58

I wish I could do the batches of food! There's no room in our freezer 😂

LittleFox01 · 16/04/2018 17:13

Oh wow how organised @Counter27 ! That is a very good idea though because my partner doesn't cook / can't cook, so maybe I need to make a few meals to put in there for when I'm first home and don't fancy cooking. What meals did you do? I don't have a lot to do so it will mainly be relaxing, my main thing is to pack an extra bag for both of us now, as I can imagine we're going to be in for a lot longer than I think. And just the usual of a spring clean which started yesterday. I also have the Doctors for a 38 week check plus health visitor coming round on 24th.

It would be lovely if all babies were scheduled, but I think sometimes having the surprise of when they are going to arrive is very exciting!

@RosaBaby2 16 hours isn't bad going for induced labour! Your little one must of been very comfortable in there!

How old is everyone just out of interest :) I'm 25, will be 26 on Friday! X

Counter27 · 16/04/2018 17:42

@LittleFox01 a veggie soup and a pasta dish (multiple portions of each). I have some ready meals in the freezer too so I won't be doing much more than that. There's no more room!

I'm 30... will be 31 a week on Friday. Wonder if I'll share my birthday with my first child!?

LittleFox01 · 16/04/2018 17:58

@Counter27 ah your birthday is a week after me! How exciting, maybe your little one will come a little early to share with you :)

Good idea, I will go and buy some ready meals and make a couple up this week! I don't feel like cooking at the best of times, so these will come in handy for when I'm first home. Or maybe I should forget and make my partner cook 😂 x
