Hello :)

I am 9 weeks 2 days pregnant, lost my first baby at 12 weeks in September 2016 and 2nd loss in March this year at 4 weeks.

Brenna24 · 28/12/2017 16:24

Oh no Bluee. I hope you recover soon.

I have failed my glucose tolerance test. I am adding the GD clinic to the list of other clinics I am under. I think I will have collected the lot soon. Grin The first appointment isn't until 9th Jan, so I will just have to be very careful what I eat until then.

Brenna24 · 28/12/2017 16:35

Hi trying

Shanii · 28/12/2017 21:34

Had a tiny scare today woke up bleeding so was taken to an emergency scan, I was sure I’d lost the baby but the ultrasound showed a tiny heartbeat, I’m measuring 7 weeks tomorrow. Just want to thank this thread for support I wouldn’t have been positive so far without it! Smile

NoParticularPattern · 29/12/2017 18:31

Hi ladies! Just checking in as I seem to have dropped off the thread/ the face of the earth recently!! Time is flying- now 35 weeks and feeling very ungainly and often very uncomfortable!! But so pleased to still be able to say I’m pregnant! I’m starting to get some pains low ish down now when baby moves- almost just behind my pubic bone which I’m guessing is because baby is moving ever lower. Midwife said baby was very central yesterday but also almost back to back (sort of two thirds the way there). Mind you at least it’s not breech!!!

Sorry to read some of you have had worrying Christmases. I can’t wait for updates from those of you waiting for c sections and also from scans. Wishing you all the best of luck!!!

Just wanted to echo what Brenna said up thread about how baby has a quiet day every now and then. Mine does too- not no movements at all and not so few that I feel terrified and ring the maternity unit, but enough for me to slightly notice that baby is obviously tired or has turned around perhaps. But obviously if you are worried then do please call midwife/maternity unit!!

Had scan today! Tiny little dot for heartbeat, nothing else yet visible but that was amazing! The doctor told us I'm 6 weeks so that's good too as a couple of days ahead of what we thought.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/12/2017 18:55

Woo hoo Bertie!! That's great news. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow 🙌🏼 Ovia says heart probably started beating today.

notparticularlypatient · 29/12/2017 19:00

It's so nice to hear from those of you who are approaching due dates @NoParticularPattern! I'm 9+2 today, and it feels like this will never end (don't get me wrong, I want it to last at least 30 weeks more!) but time move so slowly!

@TurquoiseDress, a belated welcome, I think I remember you from the ttc after mc thread from ages ago. We also struggled to conceive this one, and ended up throwing our savings on it in the end doing
Ivf. I'm 41, so really felt time was running out. Like you I feel in limbo waiting for the harmony test. Really don't feel I can believe in a happy ending for a while yet.

I had another scan on Wednesday, and all was fine. We could even see the baby kicking, it was amazing. The scan was in the same room as the mmc was discovered, so my nerves were all over the place in the waiting room. Now hoping it stays put, and time start moving slightly faster!

Just wanted to ask a question - are any of you taking extra progesterone? Since this is an ivf pregnancy I'm on two pessaries a day until 10 weeks, and it makes me incredibly
bloated. I look like I'm 4-5 months pregnant and not 2... I'm off work until next week, but I have no idea how I'm going to hide it until after the harmony (probably still 3 weeks to go before I get the results, if I'm lucky to get that far). So I was just wondering whether any of you noticed that the bloating receded after stopping medication? Crossing fingers...

notparticularlypatient · 29/12/2017 19:02

Cross posting @BertieBotts, congrats on your good scan!!

Brenna24 · 29/12/2017 19:09

Sorry you had a scar Shanii. Great news that all is well though.

Great news too Bertie. Fingers crossed this is the one for you.

How are you doing Zaa? I hope you feel a little more optimistic again.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 29/12/2017 19:12

Congratulations Bertie, that's lovely news!

Not particularly I'm also on progesterone and so bloated. I have to keep taking it for two more weeks - until I'm 13 weeks - so I don't know if stopping will help; I hope so! I don't want to tell work until at least 16 weeks (if I get there), so I very much hope it will.

keeponrunning85 · 29/12/2017 19:21

Hello ladies. May I join? Have been lurking for a couple of weeks and not yet joined as I have had to leave this group twice in the past but feel I could do with some support.

I'm hopefully 6+1 today. 4 miscarriages, all pretty early on. I had surgery at the beginning of October to correct a uterine abnormality and much to my surprise got a BFP the first month of trying again. I haven't had much in the way of symptoms yet but did feel nauseous for the first time earlier today. I have a scan booked forthe 11th of Jan when I'll hopefully be 8 weeks. The last 2 pregnancies I've had scans at 6 weeks which have shown heartbeats only to go back at 8 weeks and the heartbeats have stopped so decided to hold out a bit longer this time.

Yesterday a close friend text to tell me she's pregnant, probably a week max behind me so now I'm obviously worrying that I'll have another miscarriage and her pregnancy and baby will be a painful reminder for me.

Bertie, really pleased to see you had a good scan today.

EmmaHawk · 29/12/2017 20:08

Hi all,

Currently at 6 weeks 2 days according to last day of my period, clearblue says between 2-3 weeks.

Third pregnancy, both previous ended with MC at 7 weeks, despite the last having a heartbeat at 7 weeks :(

Just had some really light bleeding today so really worried now. Trying desperately to stay positive Smile SmileSmile

Lifeofpies · 29/12/2017 20:08

Just checking in to say hi from darkest Norfolk - still struggling a lot with morning sickness but good to be away. Hoping that a letter with a date for my dating scan and first consultant appointment will be waiting for me at home.

Warm welcome to keepon and trying

bluee so sorry about the accident, how are you doing now?

brenna I hope you’re doing ok. Are you monitoring glucose yourself?

Congratulations to others on good scans and progressing ok! Xx

Lifeofpies · 29/12/2017 20:10

Welcome to you too, Emma - I hope these early weeks pass quickly and uneventfully for you. Are you going to get the bleeding checked out?

BertieBotts · 29/12/2017 20:17

Thanks! Couldn't see anything else except this little blinking dot, right in the corner of the dark sac area - so hope that's okay but everyone at the practice seemed happy and I got given loads of leaflets and stuff which has never happened before! So yay :)

EmmaHawk · 29/12/2017 20:20

Hi Lifeofpies - spoke to the Dr this evening and he said I would have to wait it out for the weekend and see if I bleed anymore. Will phone Tuesday. I’m umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether or not to have an early scan... but will see if I bleed any heavier over the weekend I guess.

Congrats to all those who have successful scans thus far! How exciting xx

Brenna24 · 29/12/2017 21:55

Notparticularly, I was on progsterone until 24 weeks and prednisolone until 14 weeks. I was quite bloated too and ended up with a very early bump.

Hi and welcome Keepon and Emma. Emma I bled for 8 days at 7 weeks this pregnancy. All was well despite it. It wasn't heavy but was bright red.

Lifeofpies I won't have the glucose monitor until after the clinic appointment on the 9th, so I am just trying to be strict with my diet and hoping for the best. Not the best time of year to be getting seen quickly for things.

notparticularlypatient · 29/12/2017 22:03

Welcome keepon and Emma, hope we all get to hang around here for a long time! Bleeding during those early weeks is worrying, emma, but also quite normal and doesn't mean that anything is wrong. But the worry is endless even without any worrying signs, so you have my full sympathy.

Thanks for sharing about the progesterone, lisa, at least it's not just me suffering from epic bloating. I'll let you know how I get on after I stop taking the pills on Wednesday. Can't wait for it, but also a bit nervous that it's too early. Can't win, really...

notparticularlypatient · 29/12/2017 22:10

24 weeks, brenna, wow! And I'm sorry to hear about the glucose intolerance, you should think that the universe would give you
a break after those six months of bloated intestines. What we go through! All the best for your appointment, I hope it is easily managed.

SantaBaby1 · 29/12/2017 22:13

Can I please join? 5w today, after a MC at 6.5w in July. I’m really trying to keep positive but a good friend has just sadly had a MMC so the anxiety is defo there.
I’m hoping my doctor will let me have an early scan around 8w and we will then be doing the Harmony test (and scan) at FMC London at 10w. I’d just quite like the next few weeks to go quickly!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/12/2017 08:14

Feeling totally negative this morning as my sore boobs which have been constant since my BFP faded last night and the soreness / swelling has not returned this morning. I'm 6+1 and cannot get a scan until I get back home, currently at PIL house and obviously it's nye. Totally fed up and convinced something has gone wrong. Why did I let myself get excited. Not drinking over Christmas has been dire if I'm honest, too.

keeponrunning85 · 31/12/2017 10:47

I've woken up today feeling negative and anxious too grumpy. I should be 6+3 today. Will you be able to get a scan through your EPU?

SantaBaby1 · 31/12/2017 11:08

Me three to the negative and anxious!
My resting heart rate on my Fitbit has dropped the last 2 days so even though I’ve had no bleeding / spotting or pain I’ve decided that’s it over. Wtf is wrong with me?! This is going to be a bloody long 9 months if I’m lucky enough to make it that far. I’m 5w2d today. DH is saying ‘I have a good feeling about this’ but I’m just wracked with anxiety it’s all going to go wrong. I’d quite like to bury my head in the sand and totally forget about it for a few weeks tbh but equally I will be phoning my dr on Tuesday to start the ball rolling with that. It’s at the stage where I am almost looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday because it’ll hopefully be a distraction from my negative thoughts!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/12/2017 11:11

Yes I can get a scan through EPU but the earliest I can get there is next Saturday. Boobs are a little sore again I just feel so down. Hope you all feel better and can have a nice NYE.
